Chapter 75
Chapter 75
“Could it be that whoever got number ten isn’t even here?”
After searching for a while, someone finally raised a potential issue.
However, Zhang Bei, who was eager to wrap up the event, spoke up to offer a hint.
“Number ten is still in the amusement park, and this final card comes with a separate reward.”
Zhang Bei had placed the card himself, so he naturally knew where it was. As of now, no one had found it.
Standing to the side, Li Yang felt his scalp go numb.
As one of the event planners, he also knew where that card was hidden. It was precisely because he knew that he felt a moment of silence for the tourists.
The Underground Maze, Passage Eighty-Five-the highest difficulty level. On top of that, one had to solve two puzzles to get it.
The area where the puzzles were located was even known as the Night Parade of a Hundred Demons.
The tourists, however, were oblivious to this. After a brief discussion, they formed teams and began exploring the amusement park.
With regulars making up over thirty percent of the group, the search of most areas, including the Ski Resort, was completed quickly.
Almost everyone’s attention soon converged on the Underground Maze.
If there was any place left unexplored, it was this Underground Maze that no one had ever successfully cleared.
Meanwhile, Zhang Bei took the opportunity to gather the Amusement Park employees.
“I have something to say. Our amusement park is about to experience a massive explosion in visitor numbers.”
Looking at the confused faces before him, Zhang Bei rolled his eyes.
“The Running Show airs tonight. It’s predictable that the amusement park will be at full capacity from here on out.”
Hearing Zhang Bei’s words, several of them felt a headache coming on.
The viewership for the Running Show was currently the highest on the entire internet, and the Director had specifically introduced the amusement park.
One could only imagine that the upcoming influx of tourists would be enough to make the place burst at the seams.
Seeing that they understood his point, Zhang Bei continued.
“First is the staffing issue. The school is sending a batch of interns; they’ll arrive this afternoon.”
Li Yang’s eyes immediately lit up at this.
“Underclassmen?”
Zhang Bei nodded. “Yes. You’re responsible for getting them up to speed as quickly as possible. Any problems?”
Li Yang patted his chest. “Leave it to me!”
Zhang Bei turned to You Bai. “You’ll have a few active athletes coming over to help on your end.”
“No problem!”
You Bai wasn’t too worried and simply gave a light nod.
Finally, Zhang Bei shifted his gaze to the doctor.
“You’ll still handle your own area. Find your own staff; I just need you to ensure the safety of the tourists.”
The doctor looked up at the sky, his expression full of bitterness.
“I can do it, but we need to stock up on Suxiao Jiuxin Wan.”
Zhang Bei frowned. Currently, most of the Suxiao Jiuxin Wan from pharmacies across Dingyang City had already been sent to the amusement park. They didn’t have much stock left, and buying more might affect the pharmacies’ regular sales.
“Contact the suppliers. Pay a premium and have them deliver tonight.”
The doctor nodded. “Understood!”
While they were making full preparations for the impending surge in popularity, the Underground Maze on the other side was currently packed, with every passage filled with people.
Whether it was Qingqing’s good luck or bad luck, she happened to choose Passage Eighty-Five.
Qingqing wasn’t a complete novice. Relying on the dim lighting, she moved forward cautiously. Having played at the amusement park for so long, she had gained some experience in dealing with these situations.
At the very least, the first five minutes of the trek were stable, and she didn’t make any mistakes.
However, as she went deeper, ghostly shadows began to flicker from time to time…
On top of that, the piano music drifting into her ears from time to time was truly becoming more than Qingqing could handle.
However, as someone who could run all the way down from the Ski Resort, Qingqing’s stamina was deceptively profound.
Startled once again by a ghost that suddenly lunged at her, Qingqing made the most logical choice in just two-point-something seconds.
Run!
With speed honed from years of training at the amusement park, Qingqing managed to cover a distance in a mere three minutes that would take other players ten.
In her frantic flight, she was halted by the path ahead.
What appeared before Qingqing was a giant boulder covered in scratches. The long sprint forced her to stop and rest.
If Li Yang were standing here, he would have had to remark that lucky players really could do whatever they wanted.
This was the exact path one had to take to trigger the Night Parade of a Hundred Demons.
After observing for a moment, Qingqing noticed something unusual.
The scratches on the boulder weren’t random; they looked more like symbols.
Though she could be a bit airheaded at times, she hadn’t forgotten the rules of the Underground Maze.
Never linger in one place!
Thus, Qingqing worked more quickly and deciphered the meaning of the symbols in short order.
Overall, it wasn’t that complicated. Each symbol represented a number and a direction.
Once she identified the numbers and looked at the orientation of the symbols, it was easy to figure out.
However, even after cracking the code, Qingqing hesitated.
Lord only knew why the boss, with his wicked personality, would design a mechanism like this.
But time no longer allowed her to ponder for so long. Following the decrypted code, she quickly found a switch on the wall.
With a low rumble, a section of the wall beside her slowly cracked open.
Adjusting her glasses, Qingqing swallowed hard as she peered into the opening.
Before her lay a long, narrow passage. The walls were covered in a dark brownish substance.
The entire corridor exuded an eerie aura.
Out of the corner of her eye, however, she could see the ghostly shadows closing in from behind.
Suppressing her inner terror, she stepped inside.
The moment she entered the passage, Qingqing realized a horrifying fact.
The dark brownish substance on the walls was clearly dried blood!
Even worse, the floor of the passage was a path paved with countless skulls.
Qingqing wasn’t livestreaming this time, so she couldn’t share her fear with her Stream Viewers.
Yet, after enduring so much torment for so long, she defied her usual behavior and kept walking forward.
Though her legs were shaking and she was on the verge of a total breakdown, she persevered.
As the minutes ticked by, Qingqing finally emerged from the narrow passage.
However, the sight that met her eyes made her press her back tightly against the wall.
The exit led into a massive chamber filled with countless stone coffins lined up together.
A yellow talisman was pasted onto every single stone coffin.
Mustering all her courage, she forced herself to walk forward.
The yellow talismans on each coffin were slightly different. She examined several in a row before noticing another anomaly.
Before she could take a closer look, a faint crack echoed through the room.
Qingqing’s entire body froze as she stared intently at the coffin in front of her.
Another crack sounded, and this time, the coffin changed.
The lid, which had been tightly sealed, was now being pushed open from the inside.
