Zhang Bei’s tone was chilling. “Heizi, I think you and I need to have a serious talk.”
“Well, uh… I’ve got something to take care of. Let’s talk next time!”
“Do you think I can’t find you?”
“Come on, bro! Have mercy on me!”
A faint smile appeared on Zhang Bei’s face. “The higher-ups came to see me today.”
Heizi immediately panicked.
“What the hell happened?”
“I’m guessing they’re about to put out a warrant for you.”
Sitting in his office, Heizi broke out in a cold sweat the moment he heard that.
“Wait, what the hell did I do?”
Hearing the anxiety in his voice, Zhang Bei burst out laughing.
“Why didn’t you think about the consequences when you were poaching their people?”
“It was only a few people! Is that really necessary?”
“Enjoy what little time you have left.”
Heizi fell silent for a long while before speaking again.
“Is it too late for me to run?”
“Way too late. Get your affairs in order and prepare for your funeral.”

The next morning, the Amusement Park opened its gates as usual.

Zhang Bei nodded at the five men standing in perfect formation.

The other four squad members watched the two of them curiously as they walked ahead.

They kept their voices low-at least, not loud enough for the two men ahead to hear.
Zhang Bei led the Commanding Officer all the way to the Monitoring Room.
“What did you need to escort here personally?”
“The Laboratory’s construction blueprints and a list of names.”
The Commanding Officer set the case on the table, then stepped aside.
Zhang Bei immediately understood Heizi’s intentions.
The Laboratory was the heart of the Island, so its blueprints were naturally of paramount importance.
Sending them by email or courier would leave too many opportunities for something to go wrong.
Having someone escort them all the way here was the safest option.
“Leave the case here. What’s your name?”
“Cha Bing, Captain of Kunpeng Squad!”
“Cha Bing, I have a mission for you.”
“Yes, sir!”
“Take your men and try out two attractions!”
