Chapter 154
Chapter 154
Amid countless screams and furious curses, the Giant Swing finally returned to its normal arc.
Kevin had only just breathed a sigh of relief when it accelerated again.
The entire Giant Swing shot back into the sky.
The scream Kevin had been choking back finally burst from his throat.
“Wendell, you should go to hell! Fuck! [Bleep, bleep, bleep, bleep, bleep, bleep]!”
Hearing the shouting from above, Wendell couldn’t help whistling cheerfully.
When the Giant Swing’s twelve-minute cycle finally ended, the two professors hurried to the front.
The sight of everyone laid out in neat rows left them utterly entranced.
Whoa. What a rush!
Professor Yao spent a full five seconds savoring this bizarre cult-like ceremony before checking the visitors one by one.
Wendell followed behind Professor Yao, laughing without restraint at the cartload of his friends.
How tragic. Truly tragic!
Every last one of them had hair like a bird’s nest, a deathly pale face, and blue lips.
Even worse, he personally saw that two of them had wet their pants.
The doctor also arrived at the Morgue pushing a small trolley. His eyes widened when he saw Professor Yao’s cart full of “corpses.”
A whole cart of foreigners?
Had the Amusement Park gone international?
Why did these foreigners look like such lightweights?
The park had only been open for a little over ten minutes!
Two full carts of visitors instantly made the previously empty Morgue bustle with activity.
Watching the place gradually fill up, the doctor once again felt a strange sense of pride welling inside him.
So many people!
And I personally examined every last one of them!
The instant that thought crossed his mind, the doctor shuddered.
Oh, crap!
The boss was rubbing off on him!
He had no intention of turning into a lunatic!
With a worried sigh, the doctor headed toward the next attraction.
Wendell waited in the Morgue for more than ten minutes before his friends finally regained consciousness.
“Hey, Kevin. How was it?”
“[Bleep, bleep, bleep, bleep, bleep, bleep]!”
“I told you, this is a place only true warriors can conquer!”
“Warrior, my [bleep]! Today, I’m going to [bleep, bleep, bleep]!”
“Calm down, calm down. How about riding the Hot Air Balloon and enjoying the scenery?”
Only then did Kevin finally settle down.
He glared viciously at Wendell. “I can’t stand up!”
“Hwahahahaha! Just rest. You’ll be fine after a little while!”
Wendell and his friends rested for a full half hour, which, of course, included the time needed for some of them to change their pants.
The group of blond-haired, blue-eyed foreigners dragged their weak legs over and joined the long line in front of the Hot Air Balloon.
Kevin glanced at the doctor’s trolley in the distance. “There aren’t any tricks this time, are there?”
Wendell cleared his throat. “Relax, relax. This one is just for enjoying the scenery. Even children can ride it!”
Time slowly passed, and the Hot Air Balloon floating in the sky finally returned.
Kevin immediately fixed his eyes on the passengers.
When he saw them unfasten their safety belts and walk off normally, he finally breathed a sigh of relief.
But was it really as simple as he thought?
Wendell had done plenty of preparation to mess with his friends!
He knew perfectly well that the first group of visitors in the morning only came for the scenery.
They were all there to see the beautiful morning sunlight shining across the sea.
Soon, everyone had taken their seats and allowed the staff to fasten their safety belts.
Once all his friends were seated, Wendell quietly gathered every rope lying on the ground into his hands.
As it happened, aside from Wendell’s group, the only other passengers aboard the Hot Air Balloon were two students there on vacation.
Naturally, both of them saw exactly what Wendell had done.
They quietly shrank back, ready to enjoy the show.
Soon, the Hot Air Balloon began to rise slowly on heated air, and the passengers whose legs had gone weak finally recovered.
They basked in the warm sea breeze high above.
Once they were out over the ocean, Wendell finally bared his fangs.
“Kevin, have you ever been bungee jumping?”
“No. I’ve always wanted to try it.”
“My treat!”
“You’d really be that… ni-i-i-ice?”
The first half of Kevin’s sentence had been spoken from his chair. The second half drifted through midair.
When Kevin finally found himself back in his chair, he gulped down air.
“What the hell did you just do?”
A smile tugged at Wendell’s lips. “Obviously, we’re having fun!”
The moment he finished speaking, more than a dozen screams tore through the sky.
The Hot Air Balloon climbed higher at a visibly rapid pace.
“Hahahahahaha! Fun, isn’t it?”
Before Kevin could answer, furious curses in English rang throughout the Hot Air Balloon.
Seeing all those murderous glares fixed on him, Wendell immediately grew wary.
Why did he suddenly feel like his life was in danger?
Whatever. Better strike first!
He yanked the rope in his hand again, and the group of foreigners vanished from their chairs once more.
The eyes of the two students sitting nearby lit up.
Holy shit. This guy was ruthless!
Hadn’t he considered that the Hot Air Balloon would have to return to the ground eventually?
Were they about to witness a murder that would shock the entire world?
After several minutes of this, the Hot Air Balloon had reached an altitude of three hundred meters.
Kevin looked at the rope in Wendell’s hand and nearly burst into tears.
“Stop! Please, stop playing!”
But Wendell had gone through hell to bring his friends all the way to Huaxia. How could he give up now?
“My Baby, say hello to God!”
Once again, the group plummeted toward the ground.
Falling from three hundred meters was completely different from before.
At that height, their brains had plenty of time to think, and they had more than enough time to experience the full force of gravity.
As Kevin watched the ground grow larger and larger, tears streamed from the corners of his eyes.
Grandpa, I miss you so much!
Is life in heaven treating you well?
Could you maybe take a trip to Huaxia and come pick me up?
After that ordeal, Kevin closed his eyes and passed out on the spot.
In his dream, an old man glowing with white light reached out a hand to him.
But when Kevin looked more closely-old man, my ass!
That was clearly Wendell’s damned face!
Aboard the Hot Air Balloon, Wendell saw that half his friends had already passed out and quietly set aside their ropes.
He kept the other half clutched tightly in his hands.
They had to pass out!
If they walked off the Hot Air Balloon conscious, would he still make it out alive?
Knowing full well how grievously he had sinned, Wendell didn’t hesitate. He yanked the ropes again.
The screaming continued for a full half hour before the entire Hot Air Balloon finally fell silent.
The two students huddled in a corner, trembling.
Holy shit. Had this guy gone mad with bloodlust?
Should they strike first?
Wendell noticed the two students beside him and was just about to greet them in his broken Chinese.
To his surprise, one of them abruptly bent down and grabbed Wendell’s rope.
Wendell: ???
What are you doing?
I just wanted to say hello!
But the two students were firm believers in striking first and gave Wendell no chance to speak.
A scream once again tore through the air three hundred meters above the ground.
Wendell’s eyes bulged as he watched the ground rapidly swell in his vision.
So this was what the people of Huaxia called karma?
