Chapter 50
Chapter 50
At this moment, the young boy seemed as though he had been cured of his illness.
“According to the law of conservation of energy, the kinetic energy at the moment the roller coaster takes off is far lower than the inertia…”
The boy’s eyes sparkled with light as he spoke for a full three minutes.
During those three minutes, Li Yang had forgotten what it meant to be afraid; he was completely dazed.
*I know about the conservation of energy, but who is Dr. Ferna?*
*What even is her electromagnetic theory?*
*Does this stuff have anything to do with a roller coaster?*
*Isn’t it a bit too advanced for a ten-year-old to understand all this?*
By the time the thirty-minute Roller Coaster ride ended, the dazed look in Li Yang’s eyes had vanished.
His entire being now radiated an aura of “profound wisdom.”
Zhang Bei watched as the boy unbuckled his own seatbelt and walked back over.
He couldn’t help but feel a surge of surprise. It seemed the Roller Coaster hadn’t affected the child in the slightest.
The boy’s eyes shimmered. “Excuse me, is the Second Electromagnetic Theorem wrong? Why wasn’t your electromagnetism affected by the second theorem?”
Zhang Bei’s eyelid twitched. Having received a direct infusion of knowledge from the System, he naturally knew what the Second Electromagnetic Theorem was.
In layman’s terms, it stated that a strong electromagnetic field could only be made larger and could never be scaled down.
“It is wrong. Electromagnetic guidance can be resolved through other forces.”
Despite his internal grumbling, Zhang Bei answered the boy’s question seriously.
Professor Yao stood beside Zhang Bei, his expression solemn.
“Sir, please wait a moment.”
With that, Professor Yao pulled out his phone and hurried toward the nearby Drop Tower.
Before long, he came rushing back.
Only this time, Professor Yao had two sheets of A4 paper in his hand.
Zhang Bei immediately understood what Professor Yao was planning to do.
Li Yang was always in charge of the printer, responsible for printing the daily safety agreements.
These two sheets of A4 paper were undoubtedly something related to an IQ test.
Professor Yao ruffled the boy’s hair. “Could you try doing this set of problems?”
The boy pulled his neck back, clearly unwilling to be touched by a stranger.
However, he still picked up a pen and began writing and drawing on the paper.
As time passed minute by minute, Li Yang’s shout suddenly shattered the silence.
“Boss! Boss! I’ve discovered a genius!”
Zhang Bei’s face darkened, and he covered Li Yang’s mouth. “Get back to work!”
Li Yang’s eyes widened as he watched the child nearby, who was deep in calculation.
“Mmph! Mmph!”
Seeing that Li Yang had grasped the situation, Zhang Bei finally let go.
Li Yang stuck his tongue out at the child immersed in the test questions.
“I’m going back to work. Let me know when you have the results!”
“Go on.”
Seeing the group of people gathered there, Qingqing approached with her livestreaming equipment.
“Boss, Boss, what are you guys doing?”
Zhang Bei glanced at the crowded Live Stream. “Giving this kid an IQ test. Do you want to try?”
Qingqing’s eyes lit up. “Sure!”
Zhang Bei asked Professor Yao for the original questions and printed out a few more copies.
Qingqing took the test and squatted down nearby to work on it seriously.
With nothing better to do, Zhang Bei took over the phone and the Live Stream.
“Hello, everyone!”
Changkong: [Whoa, I caught a wild Boss! A live one!]
March Squid: [Boss, how about gifting me a Pass Card!]
Xiaohan: [Boss, I want a Pass Card too!]
Zhang Bei scanned the comments. “Then you guys should actually clear the rides. If I remember correctly, only five cards have been issued so far, right?”
Every Pass Card was meticulously crafted by Zhang Bei, and each one was numbered.
According to his original plan, this group should have taken at least twenty tickets over the course of two months.
That was why Li Yang still had a full thirty-five tickets left in his possession.
An hour passed quickly as Zhang Bei chatted with the viewers in the Live Stream.
Professor Yao picked up the young boy’s test paper and began grading it against the answer key.
Meanwhile, Zhang Bei held his phone up, grading Qingqing’s test.
Soon, both had finished calculating the scores. Zhang Bei couldn’t help but twitch his lips.
“Qingqing, do you know what the average IQ of a Huaxia person is?”
“I think it’s about a hundred and five?”
Zhang Bei nodded and revealed the score he had been covering with his hand.
[100 points!]
The perfectly round number immediately sent the Live Stream into a frenzy.
Changkong: [Hahaha, way to drag down the national average!]
March Squid: [You’re the dumbest streamer I’ve ever followed.]
Li Sanchuan: [Ahahaha, Qingqing, how on earth did you manage to get a graduation certificate?]
A smile played on Zhang Bei’s face as his gaze shifted toward Professor Yao.
Qingqing was just a side show; the child was the most important matter at hand.
Professor Yao’s expression was solemn. “One hundred and thirty-one.”
Qingqing: ???
What the heck? I’m not even as smart as a kid?
Zhang Bei: Just as I thought!
Viewers: Holy crap, is this for real?
Professor Yao put away the test paper and looked at the old man.
“I will contact the best psychologists in the country and take this child to Yanjing University. I wonder if you would be willing?”
The old man was dazed by the sudden turn of events, looking completely stunned.
“W-why?”
Professor Yao explained patiently.
“This child has a very high IQ. If we can treat his condition, he will be a top-tier scientist at the very least in the future.”
Only then did the old man speak up, his voice trembling. “It… it won’t cost anything, will it?”
Professor Yao immediately smiled. “All expenses will be covered by Yanjing University. Rest assured, old gentleman!”
“Thank you! Thank you so much!”
Professor Yao simply smiled and made a phone call to report the situation.
“Please wait a moment, sir. Someone will be here shortly to take you both to the hospital.”
The old man hugged the little boy, his eyes turning red.
“Thank you. You truly are good people!”
Zhang Bei: I don’t even have a girlfriend yet, so why am I collecting so many ‘good person’ cards?
Qingqing pulled Zhang Bei aside. “What’s wrong with the kid? Is he sick?”
Zhang Bei nodded slightly. “Autism. It’s a very difficult psychological disorder.”
As soon as he said this, Qingqing didn’t think much of it, but the viewers in the Live Stream couldn’t sit still.
An autistic child with an IQ as high as 131!
The news, accompanied by the video clip, swept through Weibo instantly.
In just over ten minutes, it successfully broke into the trending topics.
The viewers in the Live Stream proved themselves to be the most ‘excellent’ batch yet; they actually went out of their way to leave the address of the Amusement Park in the comments of that Weibo post.
Their reasoning was quite simple.
How could they not let others experience such a fun Amusement Park for themselves?
When it came to trolling people, they were the absolute best!
Soon, the old man and the child were picked up by a car, and Professor Yao breathed a sigh of relief.
“Boss Zhang, you’ve performed a truly meritorious deed today.”
Zhang Bei scratched his head. “Why do I feel like I didn’t actually do anything?”
“No, no, no. It’s because of your Amusement Park that we were able to discover this genius!”
Qingqing nodded in agreement. If it weren’t for this Amusement Park, where else would they have found such a gifted child?
