“Di Dali, explain something to me. We left this morning. How did you turn a ninety-minute drive into five hours?”
“Honey, it really was an accident!”
“I’d like to know what kind of accident could take you through two whole cities. If I hadn’t woken up, were you planning to drive us out of the country?”
“Well, I didn’t know which exit to take! You never told me!”
Looking at his wife’s adorably blank expression, the man could only sigh.
They might have looked like an ordinary dating couple, but they had actually been married for a year.
The man’s name was Ji Feichen, and the woman was Di Li.
Their story had begun with an accident.
After spending three years trying to get her driver’s license, Di Li had immediately rushed out to buy the first car of her life.
Unfortunately, that car had an exceptionally short lifespan. She had driven it a grand total of three kilometers before it had an intimate encounter with Ji Feichen.
Knowing she was at fault, Di Li took one look at Ji Feichen’s face and promptly offered herself up as compensation.
Ji Feichen had long since grown accustomed to his wife’s unusual way of thinking.
“We don’t get out like this often. What do you want to ride?”
“That one!”
Ji Feichen followed the direction of his wife’s finger.
A Bumper Car ride immediately came into view.
“That thing isn’t a real car.”
“They’re all the same. It has an accelerator too!”
“Fine. As long as you’re happy.”
As the first group of visitors that afternoon, they barely had to wait before it was their turn.
Ji Feichen chose a black Bumper Car and climbed in.
Di Li picked a cougar-themed Bumper Car.
In her mind, the wildest-looking one would naturally be the strongest in a collision!
As soon as the music started, Di Li floored the accelerator and charged straight at Ji Feichen.
Ji Feichen knew how the game worked too. He turned the wheel and charged at his wife.
But the collision they expected never came. A fissure suddenly split open in the ground, wide enough to Devour Di Li whole in an instant.
Before Ji Feichen could react, the ground split open again.
It was too late to turn away. All he could do was grit his teeth and steer the Bumper Car straight into the passage.
The instant he entered, the music took on an eerie tone.
Ji Feichen swept his gaze around, and all the color instantly drained from his face.
You had to be kidding him.
Who put a horror theme in a perfectly good Bumper Car ride?
The Bumper Car rolled forward at a crawl as Ji Feichen raised his guard to the utmost.
A faint sound reached his ears, and his eyes snapped upward.
A rough rope was wrapped around a woman’s neck, suspending her in midair.
Her eyes were fixed squarely on him.
Right before his eyes, a smile gradually spread across her bruised, purple face.
A chill shot from the soles of Ji Feichen’s feet to the top of his head, and he made the smartest decision of his life.
He slammed the accelerator down as hard as he could.
The Bumper Car surged forward with explosive power.
Only after speeding along for a full minute did Ji Feichen twist his stiff neck and look back.
Seeing nothing but the dim passage behind him, he finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Thank goodness that thing couldn’t chase him.
Before he could turn back around, he caught something unusual from the corner of his eye.
A figure in a school uniform was embedded in the wall.
“So you noticed me.”
The uniformed figure slowly squeezed its way out of the wall.
Ji Feichen finally got a clear look at its face.
A massive wound split all the way through its head, leaving half its face hanging limply from its skull.
Ji Feichen’s hands and feet turned ice-cold, and cold sweat broke out all over his body.
Suppressing the suffocating tightness in his chest, he floored the accelerator again.
This time, Ji Feichen did not dare slow down in the slightest.
God only knew what else he might encounter if he stopped!
He sped onward, and a hopeful glimmer of light appeared ahead.
The exit was right there!
In the dark tunnel, however, a Bumper Car carrying an ecstatic Di Li came hurtling straight at him.
“Stop! Slow down, honey-don’t!”
The force of his shout snapped Di Li out of her excitement.
“Hubby!”
The very next instant, the two Bumper Car vehicles slammed into each other.
The springy rubber bumpers sent both vehicles bouncing back into their respective passages.
Ji Feichen watched the passage that had promised hope close before his very eyes.
Then he watched a grotesquely misshapen corpse slowly rise to its feet.
Why was it so grotesque?
For starters, its entire upper body was covered in stitches.
The head perched atop its neck had been smashed in on one side, and an arm protruded from its chest cavity.
In the dim passage, the horrifying sight sent tremors through Ji Feichen’s entire body.
“Da Li!”
With that anguished scream, he promptly passed out in his seat.
Meanwhile, in the neighboring passage, Di Li’s eyes were shining with excitement.
She leisurely drove her Bumper Car onward.
Along the way, all sorts of fluffy animals had her gaze darting from side to side.
This tiger is so adorable!
Oh, it can even roar!
After enjoying the scenery for two round trips, the Bumper Car carried the group of visitors back to the surface.
Di Li unbuckled her seat belt and scanned the area, quickly spotting her husband.

What happened to him?
“Hubby, what’s wrong?”
“Hubby?”
A doctor hurried over with a small medical kit while pushing a cart.
He checked the heart-rate reading on his tablet and was quite satisfied.
The visitors were clearly getting mentally tougher.
Out of twelve people, only this one had needed a heart pill!
He promptly slipped a pill into Ji Feichen’s mouth. When he turned around, he found Di Li wiping away tears.
“Why are you crying?”
Di Li replied in a choked voice, “Thinking about eating at my husband’s funeral feast makes me want to cry.”
The doctor was dumbfounded.
The guy had only fainted!
How had that turned into a funeral feast?
It hadn’t even been a minute since he’d arrived. Just what kind of wild scenario had she cooked up in her head?
The doctor struggled for words before finally managing, “He’s fine. He’ll be all right after some rest.”
“Huh?”
“I said he’s fine!”
Di Li licked her lips, and for some reason, a trace of disappointment flashed in her eyes.
The stew served at funeral banquets was pretty tasty, after all!
The doctor felt as though his thoughts could never keep up with the girl before him.
He hauled Ji Feichen onto the cart and wheeled him off to the Morgue.
Although the park had only been open for a short while that afternoon, the steadily increasing number of attractions had already packed Morgue No. 1 to capacity.
The doctor narrowed his eyes at the impressive scene before him.
That strange sense of pride welled up in him once again.
Not a single one of them was in mortal danger!
A second later, he jolted.
Wait, I don’t want to feel proud of something like this!
With decidedly mixed feelings, the doctor pushed his cart toward the next attraction.
Di Li remained by her boyfriend’s side, her eyes brimming with affection.
It didn’t take long for Ji Feichen to regain consciousness.
As he looked at his wife beside him, his memories from before he fainted gradually resurfaced.
Ji Feichen let out a long sigh, his eyes filled with sorrow.
Before getting married, he’d had the kind of luck where, if he bought a thousand bottles of soda, every single one would win him another bottle.
After getting married, forget winning another bottle-he often opened a pack of instant noodles only to find the seasoning packet missing.
According to Di Li, he’d used up all his luck just by meeting her!
But Ji Feichen had always suspected that his wife was simply a jinx who brought her husband bad luck!
After a short rest, Di Li eagerly dragged her husband to the entrance of the Underground Maze.
