The moment she heard the words “Game Coins,” Yun Youyou’s eyes instantly lit up.
“I just have to go with you guys?”
The Rich guy nodded.
Yun Youyou agreed readily. “Then when do we set off?”
“We’ll head out once we’re ready,” the Rich guy replied.
“Fine by me.”
Hearing that they were planning to go look for trouble with the Vampire, Shamate and the Red-haired Trendy Guy also got excited.
“We’re coming too!”
That legendary Vampire had been sleeping all this time. They had been working in this Game for so long, yet they had never actually seen him.
The Rich guy naturally had no objections; having an extra ghost along would help bolster their courage.
The Players began to split up to prepare.
Ten minutes later, the four Players’ appearances had undergone a massive transformation.
They wore specialized steel collars around their necks, perfectly protecting their vulnerable throats.
Yun Youyou looked at the items the Rich guy was carrying, finding them more and more familiar the longer she stared.
“Why are you carrying those?”
The Rich guy held up a bunch of garlic. “Don’t vampire movies always say that vampires hate garlic? I don’t know if it’s true or not, though. What do you think?”
Yun Youyou actually gave it some serious thought.
“I don’t think it’ll work.”
The Rich guy asked sincerely, “Why?”
Yun Youyou replied, “Because I actually quite like eating duck blood curd with garlic sauce.”
The Rich guy: “…You have a point. I like eating that, too.”
He glanced at the garlic in his hand again. “Whatever, I’ll bring it anyway. Just in case it turns out to be useful.”
Yun Youyou chimed in from the side, “Right, you should definitely bring it. Just in case the Vampire also happens to like garlic-flavored human blood.”
The Rich guy: …
What, even if I’m going to die, I’m supposed to thoughtfully prepare a side of seasoning for the Vampire?
He didn’t dare say it out loud, though, so he settled for condemning Yun Youyou with his eyes.
“That’s strange… Why is one of my stools missing?”
Yun Youyou’s sharp eyes noticed that the stool she had been sitting on earlier was gone.
The Rich guy looked guilty, sweat practically pouring down his forehead.
Yun Youyou narrowed her eyes, spotting the nervous sweat on his brow.
“Be honest. What did you do with my stool?”
Yun Youyou’s sinister tone made the Rich guy swallow hard in nervousness.
The Rich guy forced a smile.
“Nothing. I didn’t do anything.”
Yun Youyou stared him down. “I’m counting to three.”
The Rich guy felt that Yun Youyou probably wouldn’t even bother with ‘one’ or ‘two’; she was very likely to jump straight to ‘three.’
Not daring to delay for a second, he hurriedly pulled a wooden cross out from under his clothes.
“I just… used it to make a cross.”
The Rich guy gave her a fawning smile.
Yun Youyou couldn’t comprehend the Rich guy’s train of thought.
“You used wood to make a cross? Why didn’t you just make yourself a barbecue rack? That way, the Vampire can roast you and eat you. Sprinkle a bit of that garlic you prepared on top, and the Vampire will give you a thumbs-up and a five-star review after he’s done.”
Real crosses were made of silver; what the hell was a wooden cross supposed to do?
The Rich guy: …
He said pitifully, “I’m just scared, okay? What if it works?”
Yun Youyou just wanted to get this over with quickly.
“Fine, let’s just go. It’ll be dark soon if we don’t leave now.”
The three ghosts and four humans set off toward the Vampire’s location.
Shamate was more familiar with the area, so he was in charge of leading the way.
However, after walking just a few steps, he came to a halt.
“The Vampire’s home is right here.”
It turned out the Vampire’s house was right next door to Yun Youyou’s.
Everyone looked up and saw four large characters on the shop’s sign: “Mattress Speciality Store.”
“No wonder he’s such a heavy sleeper; he literally sells mattresses,” the Red-haired Trendy Guy whispered under his breath.
Yun Youyou stepped forward and knocked on the door.
*Knock, knock, knock!*
After waiting for a while, no one came to open it.
Yun Youyou turned back to the others. “He’s not in. Let’s go back.”
“No way! He’s definitely hiding because he has a guilty conscience. That’s why he won’t open the door!”
The Rich guy had finally summoned enough courage to come here, so he wasn’t about to give up easily.
Su Yurou added, “We can’t let Wu Shulan’s sacrifice be in vain.”
It was unexpected, but this group of Players actually seemed quite loyal to their own.
The Rich guy stepped forward and tried pushing the door.
It swung open instantly.
“It’s unlocked. Let’s just go in.”
The group entered the shop together.
Inside, it was pitch black.
Yun Youyou bumped into something soft. She took the opportunity to lie down on it, squinting her eyes in satisfaction.

By the time the Rich guy pulled a flashlight out of his bag and clicked it on, the beam revealed Yun Youyou already on the verge of falling asleep on a mattress.

He was about to lose it, but he didn’t dare speak too loudly.
“Get up! You’re coming inside with us!”
Yun Youyou replied lazily, “You only said I had to accompany you here. Going inside is a separate fee. I’ll lie here for a bit; call me when you guys come back out.”
The Rich guy’s teeth itched with frustration.
She really knew how to exploit a loophole. How devious!
The Players huddled nearby and whispered among themselves for a moment.
In the darkness, the Rich guy flashed a malicious grin.
“Hehehe… That’s what we’ll do.”
The Players exchanged looks, their eyes filled with determination.
They walked to the four corners of the mattress.
Yun Youyou was dazed and nearly asleep when she suddenly felt the mattress beneath her moving.
Yun Youyou: ???
She opened her eyes and realized her senses weren’t playing tricks on her.
The four Players had each taken a corner of the mattress, and with their powers combined, they were carrying Yun Youyou away.
Yun Youyou: …
First there was the Coffin Dance, and now there’s the Player Mattress Carry.
*Can you guys really not function without me?*
As he carried the bed, the Rich guy shot Yun Youyou a smug smile.
“Don’t mind us, just keep sleeping. We won’t disturb you.”
The Rich guy felt a level of satisfaction he had never experienced before.

Since things had turned out this way, she simply lay back down and made herself comfortable.
Next to them, Shamate and the Red-haired Trendy Guy were too stunned for words.
For a moment, they couldn’t decide whose tactics were more outrageous.
When it came to the path of being a jerk, they still had a long way to go.
The flashlight beam seemed exceptionally piercing in the pitch-black corridor.
As the Players carried the mattress, their palms began to sweat from tension.
One of the male Players said tremulously, “Why do I feel like we’ve been going in circles on the same path? We couldn’t have run into a Ghost Wall, could we?!”
Hearing this, the Rich guy’s legs nearly turned to jelly.
“N-N-No way! Don’t talk nonsense!”
The male Player scanned their surroundings fearfully.
“I’m really not talking nonsense.”
He pointed to a scratch on the wall. “I saw this scratch right at the beginning, and now it’s appeared again.”
