Chapter 127
Chapter 127
Xiaomei kicked him again.
“If you don’t go, I’ll turn you into spicy crawfish!”
Then Xiaomei looked to the other side. “Are you two going or not, Geoduck Sashimi and Steamed Crab?”
Geoduck: …I clammed up.
Crab: …I’m seriously crabby now.
You’ve already come up with our menu names. Do we dare say no?
Seeing the two of them nod, Xiaomei immediately turned to Yun Youyou and said, “See? I told you they were very willing.”
Yun Youyou pretended she hadn’t seen Xiaomei’s violent coercion and led the whole pack of seafood back toward the villa.
With a bunch of bizarre-looking seafood creatures following behind her, she looked outrageously cool.
Taking the opportunity, Yun Youyou also made a loop around the villa.
She hadn’t paid attention before, but now that she looked, there really were two similar lodgings next door.
One was called Scream Hostel, and the other was called Happiness Hotel.
However, the front doors of both places were tightly shut, so she couldn’t see what the inside looked like.
Yun Youyou glanced at them, then turned and headed back to her own villa.
This afternoon, she had to go all out.
Their hostel had to become the most impressive one. When the time came, guests would pour in, and so would the money.
If she became the richest person in the Game, maybe she could even buy the entire Game.
Then she would make that skinflint Game kneel down and sing “Conquered” to her!
Hahahahahahaha!!!
Geoduck, Lobster Bro, Big Crab, and Xiaomei stood to the side, watching Yun Youyou throw her head back and laugh with a mixture of fear and confusion.
This ghost’s mental state seemed a little abnormal.
“Ahem, ahem, ahem!!!”
Yun Youyou had laughed for so long that her throat had gone dry.
Geoduck volunteered, “Sister Yun, how about I spray some water for you?”
Yun Youyou dodged away in horror.
“Thank you for the offer, but no need!”
Drinking water sprayed out by a Geoduck… somehow felt like drinking someone else’s saliva. It was honestly a little hard to swallow.
With the seafood creatures’ help, Yun Youyou’s progress sped up quite a bit.
Today, Ji Lin and the others had gone out to explore the Instance, and Yun Youyou had conveniently sent Lu Keke along with them.
There weren’t many people in the villa right now, making it the perfect time to get to work.
First, clean out the pool and refill it with fresh water.
Giant speakers! Set them up!
Flashy light strips! Set them up!
DJ booth! Set it up!
Confetti cannons, drinks, snacks-set them all up.
Yun Youyou also went and photocopied a stack of flyers. Anyone who passed by the villa entrance had to take one.
After a flurry of work, the sun gradually began to set.
The sinking dark gold of dusk reflected against the fiery-red sky, while the swimming pool mirrored the gorgeous sunset clouds.
The setup was more or less complete.
Yun Youyou wiped the sweat from her forehead. She felt like she hadn’t been this tired in ages.
“But if the few of us just show up here openly like this, won’t we scare all your guests away?”
Xiaomei suddenly remembered this issue.
Yun Youyou had thought of it long ago.
“An ordinary pool party is way too basic. We’re going to do a high-end alien cosplay party. I’ll get you guys some uniforms to wear later.”
An alien cosplay party?
Just hearing it sounded exciting!
Yun Youyou casually found a few white shirts, planning to write the name of her hostel on them.
But did her hostel even have a name?
Yun Youyou thought about it and decided to give her homestay an explosively badass name.
After pondering for a moment, Yun Youyou wrote five huge words on the white shirts: “Deadass Explodes the Sky!”
Simple and easy to understand. Clear and easy to read.
Yun Youyou couldn’t help being impressed by her own brilliance.
Genius. Sheer genius.
When Yun Youyou brought those work uniforms to the seafood creatures, they happily put them on.
As a bunch of illiterate sea dwellers, they couldn’t read the huge characters printed on them at all. They even asked Yun Youyou foolishly, “What do these words mean?”
Yun Youyou kept it brief. “They mean you’re really awesome.”
The seafood creatures were instantly delighted.
“That’s great! I love this outfit!”
They gathered around in a group to admire one another’s clothes.
It nearly made Yun Youyou write an entire thesis on the spot titled: On the Utter Importance of Learning to Read.
At eight o’clock sharp,
the Swimming Pool Cosplay Alien Party at Shidiao Huozhatian Hostel officially began.
There was deafening, high-energy music, colorful flashing lights bright enough to blind a ghost, and a sexy crab DJ spinning live.
Why let Big Crab DJ?
Purely because he had eight legs, and just looking at him made it feel like he had to be amazing at it.
The crab looked completely bewildered. “What’s DJing?”
Xiaomei, at least, was more worldly.
“Just rub the discs however you want. The main thing is to look like you’re really feeling yourself. We can’t tell the difference anyway.”
And so Big Crab stumbled into his new post in a daze.
Yun Youyou had gotten herself a set of Ming dynasty official robes. She painted her face snow-white, with vivid red lips. Paired together, it actually created a strange, eerie sort of beauty-the kind that looked like it could kill.
She also stuck one of the Talismans onto her forehead for good measure.
Since today was a special occasion, Yun Youyou poked a few holes in the back of her clothes and let the poor Tentacle, which had been stifled for far too long, come out for some air.
The Tentacle eagerly slipped out through the holes and curiously surveyed its surroundings.
By the time the tourists arrived, this was the bizarre yet lively scene that greeted them.
Wait a second!
Was this the same pool they had come to that morning?
What were all these strange creatures?
The three tourists from the morning froze in fright, nearly turning tail and fleeing on the spot.
Yun Youyou hurried forward to greet them, lifting the Talismans stuck to her forehead.
“It’s me. Don’t you recognize me?”
The three of them looked closely. “You’re the proprietress?!”
Yun Youyou said, “That’s right. Don’t be scared. Today we’re holding a cosplay pool party. There are costume Items over there, so you can dress up and join us too.”
The three country bumpkins were stunned at once.
There was even such a high-end way to have fun?
The three exchanged glances, all of them feeling a little tempted.
“Why don’t we give it a try?”
More and more people poured into Yun Youyou’s pool.
Yun Youyou collected so much ticket money that her hands nearly went numb.
As soon as the wild, drum-heavy music started blasting, the tourists throughout the pool went completely wild.
Even Big Crab, who was rubbing discs at the DJ booth, started bobbing along to the beat.
This was so hype!
Xiaomei was also taking his lifeguard duties extremely seriously, patrolling the pool the entire time with a giant megaphone and shouting.
“You over there, get your head above water! Watch out for drowning!”
“Anyone who can’t swim, hold on to your swim ring properly! Don’t slip through the middle!”
When Ji Lin and the others returned, what they saw was a scene of utter decadence and chaotic revelry.
All sorts of demons, monsters, and strange creatures were dancing in the pool.
White-haired zombies, human-faced lobsters, four-legged fishmen, and other species none of them had ever seen before were all soaking in the water.
“Boom-cha, boom-cha, boom-cha, boom-cha…”
Amid the pounding music, Wang Yuanyou’s jaw nearly dropped to the floor.
“There has to be something wrong with my eyes!”
