Who knew what kind of meat this was? It looked pretty fatty, though.

Why were there chicken feet in this braised meat?

Yun Youyou pushed aside the scallions on top of the chicken foot and leaned in for a closer look.

The more delicious it had smelled before, the more disgusting it smelled now.

Something was wrong with this cafeteria.

After Su Zeyang and Su Zehan received Yun Youyou’s message, they quietly slipped over to the side of the cafeteria and hid silently behind a potted money tree.

A little while later, a cafeteria auntie walked straight over.

The two brothers hurriedly ducked farther behind the potted plant.

“That looks like Sister Youyou.”

Su Zehan was the first to recognize Yun Youyou and poked his head out from behind the money tree.

Su Zeyang followed right after him.

“Sister Youyou, what happened to you?”

Even through the mask, Su Zeyang could tell that Yun Youyou’s face looked far too pale.

Yun Youyou took a few eggs and sweet potatoes out of her pocket.

“Eat some of this first to fill your stomachs. For now, don’t eat the cafeteria food. From now on, come to this spot, and I’ll bring food to you.”

Su Zehan had originally wanted to ask why Yun Youyou was dressed like this.

But seeing that Yun Youyou didn’t look well, he considerately held back and obediently took the sweet potatoes and eggs from her.

A male employee stared greedily at the plate of plump, fatty braised meat.

Yun Youyou even heard him turn around and say to his coworker behind him, “Wow, what great luck! The Company is finally being generous for once today. They actually cooked human meat for us.”

So these NPCs all knew what kind of meat this was.

The male employee said, “Thank you, ma’am!”

He happily carried his braised meat away.

The auntie laughed. “Watch how I do it first. I’ll give you a demonstration.”

The employee was not happy.

The employee who had been ahead of him smugly touched his own face. “Maybe it’s because I’m handsome. No point being jealous.”

A short while later, the phone in Yun Youyou’s pocket vibrated.

She took it out and saw a message from Su Zeyang.

The Review Meeting was about to begin, and all employees had to attend.

After Yun Youyou finished serving the food, she took advantage of the moment when no one was paying attention, secretly changed back into her own clothes, and slipped away.

Not long after she returned to the manager’s office, Bald Manager pushed the door open and came in.

Seeing Yun Youyou sitting obediently in her seat, he looked fairly satisfied.

“Manager, someone called for you just now.”

The phone rang a few times before a cold voice came from the other end.

Bald Manager immediately put on a fawning smile. “Please don’t worry. This new batch of goods is all good quality, except for one who’s especially infuriating. I’ve already made the arrangements. Please wait a few more days.”

“You’d better stay on your toes. If you fail because you got careless, you can roll right off that position of yours.”

After hanging up, Bald Manager wiped the sweat from his forehead.

Being a manager really wasn’t easy.

After Bald Manager left, Yun Youyou returned to the manager’s office and picked up the phone she had secretly tossed under the sofa earlier.

She found a hidden spot and listened to the recording.

It seemed this Company was hiding quite a few schemes.

After saying a few simple words, he let everyone go home.

The three newcomers had all been assigned to the Company’s Employee Dormitory.

“Sister Youyou, we’ll walk you back.”

Su Zehan stood beside Yun Youyou with a smile.

Yun Youyou felt that it wasn’t certain who would be protecting whom.

“No need. You two should head back early. Even if someone does have bad intentions, it’s still hard to say who’d be bullying whom.”

But Yun Youyou’s appearance was far too deceptive.

No matter what she said, Su Zeyang and Su Zehan insisted on escorting Yun Youyou to the dormitory first.

In the end, Yun Youyou gave in.

This Company really was ridiculously stingy. The streetlights downstairs were dimly hidden among the trees, leaving the road pitch-black. They might as well not have had lights at all.
