Footsteps sounded outside.
The Butler had arrived.
Shen Mingzhen immediately braced for battle, but the Second Young Master remained strangely calm.
“Let’s go.”
Shen Mingzhen stared at him. “There’s a ghost outside! How are we supposed to leave?”
The Second Young Master pulled out the bag of rice he had been cradling against his chest.
“With this, we can.”
As he spoke, he scooped out a cup of rice and scattered it stylishly across the floor.
“Run!”
He was the first one out the door.
When Yun Youyou glanced back, she caught sight of the Butler crouching on the floor, picking up grains of rice.
For some reason, he looked like a lonely old man. It was almost heartbreaking.
Running into a group of Players who refused to follow the script had really put him through the wringer.
The Second Young Master couldn’t stop in time and ran straight out of the villa.
A light breeze drifted through the courtyard, carrying the scent of roses.
Though not everyone appreciated the fragrance.
“What is that smell? It stinks!”
The Second Young Master covered his nose in disgust.
Yun Youyou pointed toward the roses in the distance. “The Butler planted them. He loves those flowers.”
The Second Young Master’s mouth curled into a sinister smirk. “Then I’ll destroy everything he loves!”
For one fleeting moment, Yun Youyou could almost see the legendary smirking God of War standing before her.
As if possessed, the Second Young Master charged toward the poor roses.
He grabbed a rosebush by the stem and leaves and yanked with all his strength. The entire plant immediately came flying out of the ground.
Yun Youyou shook her head.
What a cruel thing to do to a flower!
“Holy shit! What is that?”
Halfway through uprooting the roses, the Second Young Master suddenly screamed.
Shen Mingzhen hurried over.
An unknown reddish-brown liquid was seeping out of the dark red soil.
Shen Mingzhen crouched down and smelled it.
This wasn’t red soil at all. It had been stained red with blood.
The Second Young Master clutched the flower in his hand, on the verge of throwing up again.
“What kind of demon is that Butler? He even uses human blood to grow flowers.”
Shen Mingzhen found it revolting too.
The Butler really wasn’t human.
Though, technically, he had never been human in the first place.
Shen Mingzhen grabbed a shovel nearby and said in disgust, “Dig up all these roses. Any flower that drinks human blood can’t be anything good.”
The two began digging with gusto.
Halfway through, the Second Young Master’s movements suddenly stopped.
He cautiously jabbed the shovel deeper. It struck something with the grating clang of metal.
Yun Youyou raised her brows in surprise and came closer.
“Hmm? Did you find buried treasure?”
It really was treasure.
The Second Young Master and Shen Mingzhen immediately began shoveling faster.
Before long, they dug a dirt-covered safe out of the ground.
The Second Young Master wiped the sweat from his forehead.
“No wonder we couldn’t find the safe anywhere in the villa. That old bastard buried it here.”
Shen Mingzhen found a hose and rinsed the filthy safe clean.
Inside the villa, the Butler seemed to sense something. His expression darkened, and he rushed outside.
This time, even scattering more rice wouldn’t stop him.
“Now that you’ve found it, every last one of you has to die.”
The Butler’s aged face looked as terrifying as the Big Bad Wolf disguised as Grandma.
With so many allies behind him, the Second Young Master had the courage to argue back.
“That doesn’t belong to you. It’s the inheritance the Master left Madam. You’re just a Butler. Did you really start thinking you were the Master?”
Without a word, the Butler pinched the skin just below his ear.

He peeled off an entire human-skin mask with ease.
The others stared, dumbfounded.
The skin beneath the mask was smooth and pale, with the fragile quality of someone who had spent years away from sunlight.
In the sunlight, a pair of icy, upturned eyes narrowed slightly. They held the deranged intensity of a dangerously obsessive man.
The corners of the Butler’s lips lifted as he stared at the people before him with the cold gaze of a venomous snake.
The Second Young Master was nearly struck stupid by the man’s sudden transformation.
“Wh-who are you?”
“Hah. I’m the Master you were just talking about. Aren’t you happy to see me?”
The Second Young Master’s jaw nearly hit the ground.
Yun Youyou’s eyes sparkled.
Who cared whether he was the Master?
This was clearly her hot silver fox!

The Vampire noticed the naked appreciation in Yun Youyou’s eyes and pressed his lips together unhappily.

The three of them kicked and stomped on it, but nothing worked.

“Looks like it’s time for my classic weapon.”
As if he had sensed what was coming, Shen Mingzhen leaned away and asked in a trembling voice, “D-don’t tell me… you’re going to use that…”
The Second Young Master was completely lost.
“What’s that?”
The next second, Yun Youyou pulled out a portable Chainsaw.
Its nerve-racking roar filled the air.
The Second Young Master: “?”
“Where did you pull that Chainsaw from?”
Yun Youyou said, “That’s not important.”
The Chainsaw swept down, sending sparks flying.
Even the most stubborn safe had no choice but to surrender before it.
The Chainsaw curled its lips into a wicked smile. Safe, you were destined to be mine in this life!

Yun Youyou casually hoisted the Chainsaw onto her shoulder.
The Second Young Master was beside himself with excitement. “Oh my God! We can finally go home!”

When Yun Youyou’s name appeared on the list of people to rate, he froze.
“Miss Yun, do you have a sister who works in this Instance?”

Unable to process such complicated information, his eyes rolled back and he collapsed.

Soon, all the Players were gone.
Yun Youyou glanced at the Vampire, who was still fighting in the distance.
It seemed the Butler was quite powerful if he could fight the Vampire for this long.
The Vampire caught sight of Yun Youyou from the corner of his eye.
“You go first. I need to fight a little longer.”
