Chapter 237
Chapter 237
[…That is the title you devised?]
Yun Youyou said frankly, “Doesn’t it radiate supreme dominance?”
The Game said, [It radiates turtle.]
It was hopelessly old-fashioned.
Yun Youyou said, “You just don’t understand.”
She decided to educate the Game properly about literature.
“Master the following lines, and you’ll easily grasp the essence of this genre.”
The Game listened attentively.
Yun Youyou cleared her throat.
“The CEO kneels, the girl cries: Woman, you’re playing with fire!”
“The CEO chases, his sweet wife flies: Has Madam admitted her mistake?”
“Prison love, the Butler smiles: The Young Master hasn’t been this happy in years.”
The Game’s CPU crashed.
What did any of that mean?
Yun Youyou calmly comforted it.
“It’s normal not to understand. This is the literary essence I’ve studied for over twenty years. How could an amateur like you comprehend it easily?”
The Game did not understand, but it somehow felt this was a bad title.
[No. Choose another.]
Yun Youyou did not argue.
“Fine. Then AAA Direct-From-the-Crematorium, Enjoy a One-Step Trip to Heaven.”
[…]
[No.]
“36D Pure and Innocent Stepfather?”
[No.]
“The Dream of Three Billion Male Ghosts?”
[No.]
“The Domineering Game Falls for Me?”
[…]
If the Game had a face, it would have turned black long ago.
What kind of awful titles were these?
After teasing the Game enough, Yun Youyou felt deeply satisfied.
Another successful day of infuriating her boss.
Wonderful!
Yun Youyou’s almond-shaped eyes curved into crescents and sparkled.
“Fine. I’ll call myself the Underworld’s Number One War God–Shit-Stirrer.”
The Game did not object this time.
Its voice even carried a trace of mockery.
[At least you have some self-awareness. You know you are a shit-stirrer.]
Yun Youyou replied cheerfully, “At least I’m the stirrer. As for all of you…”
The Game said, […Are you calling us shit?]
Yun Youyou distanced herself immediately.
“I never said that. You did.”
Unable to outargue Yun Youyou, the Game simply stopped speaking.
Before long, enormous text appeared above Yun Youyou’s head.
Large golden letters floated in midair above her.
Yun Youyou stood before a mirror.
Whenever she moved, the words followed.
Not bad. Very high-tech.
“Can you make it glow too? Some special effects would be great, like gold coins falling whenever I move.”
Though speechless, the Game fulfilled every request.
“Wow!”
Seeing glittering gold coins fall from above her head whenever she moved, Yun Youyou reached out to catch them with embarrassing eagerness.
They were fake, but they still brought a unique sense of satisfaction.
From now on, she was the God of Wealth’s underworld avatar.
The Game watched coldly.
[This is nothing. They are merely simple effects.]
Faced with the Game’s mockery, Yun Youyou did not become angry. Her voice filled with worship instead.
“You’re incredible! I think I’m falling in love with you.”
[Tsk. How ignorant.]
The Game maintained its aloof facade, but inwardly its tail was nearly pointing at the sky.
Under Yun Youyou’s relentless flattery, the Game demonstrated 108 ways to use special effects.
Amid her repeated exclamations, it completely lost itself.
[This is nothing. I personally designed every Instance in the Game. Such things are trivial to me.]
The Game was completely carried away.
“Oh? Then you designed the Instance plots too?”
[Of course.]
Yun Youyou suddenly smiled.
“I never realized you were so capable.”
The Game suddenly had a bad feeling.
Yun Youyou smiled like a cat that had stolen a fish.
“I want to make an Instance of my own.”
[No. You cannot.]
Yun Youyou said, “You’ve been saying no from the beginning. Count how many times you’ve said it.”
[No matter how many times I said no, no means no.]
Yun Youyou said, “I’m the Game now. You have to obey me.”
Before the Game could speak, Yun Youyou continued.
“You don’t have the authority to say no.”
“Besides, I only want to try. As such a magnificent Game, can’t you satisfy my tiny, tiny curiosity?”
She held her fingers a pitiful distance apart.
“And you’ll supervise me from the side. Don’t you trust yourself?”
The Game was persuaded.
Yun Youyou’s flattery had inflated even its code.
Its attitude had clearly softened.
Yun Youyou pressed her advantage with several more lines.
After a few rounds, the Game finally relented.
[Tell me the plot. Depending on the circumstances, I can create one for you.]
Yun Youyou’s smile grew brighter.
“You’re the best boss in the world. You understand ghosts, and you’re generous and considerate. You’re my absolute idol!”
Yun Youyou unleashed a torrent of flattery.
The Game was battered dizzy by it and nearly lost all sense of direction.
The two began discussing the Instance’s plot.
Yun Youyou waved grandly.
“Put all the most handsome ghosts in the Game into my Instance.”
This time, the Game agreed readily.
[Certainly.]
“All the Players must be handsome too.”
[No problem.]
Those were minor details.
Yun Youyou loved cheesy drama. “The plot should involve a wealthy family’s grudges. Most importantly, it must be exciting and dramatic.”
[What role do you want to play in the Instance?]
Yun Youyou thought about it.
“I want a noble status, handsome men competing for my favor, and some melodramatic Mary Sue plot twists.”
This was the perfect Instance for a lover of cheesy drama.
The thought alone nearly made Yun Youyou laugh aloud.
[All right. I understand the general requirements. Please wait.]
Yun Youyou smiled sweetly.
“Okay. I’ll wait for you!”
The Game chuckled coldly.
Once its head cooled, it came back to its senses.
Did Yun Youyou really think a few flattering words could make it lose all judgment?
It had admittedly lost some judgment earlier, but the Game would never confess that.
It cunningly altered the plot.
Hmph. Enjoy yourself for now. When the time came, she would…
The Game laughed slyly several times.
Then it put on a serious tone again.
[The Instance is complete and may be activated at any time.]
“That fast?”
Before Yun Youyou even had time to lie down, the Game announced that the Instance was ready.
“You didn’t cut corners, did you?”
[Impossible. I guarantee the plot matches your description exactly.]
It had not removed anything.
In fact, it had added a little extra.
