In the deep night, nothing was visible except the dim yellow lamp by the entrance.

Instead of going inside immediately, he asked, “Where are you staying?”
Yun Youyou pointed next door. “What a coincidence. I live right beside you.”
Knowing she was so close made Ji Lin considerably less worried.
“Do you have a phone?”
Yun Youyou pulled her newly purchased phone from her pocket.
Ji Lin glanced at it. “Do you have a SIM card?”
Yun Youyou said, “No. And I can’t get one.”
She was already dead. In this world above, she was an undocumented person without even an ID. How could she register a phone number?
“Wait here.”
Leaving those two words behind, Ji Lin walked into the villa.
Yun Youyou had nothing to do and no data, so she opened the camera and began taking selfies.
