“How could that be? He was just saying it offhand.”
Yun Youyou stared thoughtfully at Su Gou’s retreating back.
She had a nagging feeling that Su Gou had already discovered their little secret, but unfortunately, she had no solid proof.
Just as Su Gou was about to step into the dorm, he remembered the scene he’d just witnessed out in the field.
He couldn’t help slowing down, hesitating over whether he should go in.
“Brother Su? Is that you?”
Someone inside the dorm heard the movement outside and asked curiously.
Su Gou pushed the door open and went in. “Yeah, I’m back.”
His roommate sat up in bed.
“Why were you gone so long? I almost thought you’d been eaten by a ghost. I was about to go find someone to save you.”
Su Gou suddenly walked over to his roommate’s bed and handed him a stalk of foxtail grass he’d casually plucked outside.
His roommate stared at him in surprise.
“Why are you giving me foxtail grass?”
Su Gou couldn’t exactly say it outright, so he only said, “I saw it outside just now. Thought the color looked pretty green.”
His roommate hesitantly took the foxtail grass, and his thoughts immediately started to wander.
Brother Su had gone out in the middle of the night to pick foxtail grass for him. Could it be that Brother Su… had feelings for him?
Just thinking about it gave his roommate goosebumps all over.

Su Gou looked utterly bewildered and couldn’t even be bothered to respond.
When Su Gou didn’t answer, his roommate refused to let it go.
“Brother Su, did you hear me? You absolutely cannot have any improper ideas about my butt!”
Su Gou was annoyed beyond endurance.
“Shut up!”
His roommate finally closed his mouth.
The entire room fell silent.
In the darkness, the roommate sighed helplessly.
His rejection must have wounded Brother Su’s pride. Otherwise, he wouldn’t be so angry.
Having too much masculine charm wasn’t necessarily a good thing!

So much had happened that night that all three plants slept especially soundly.
Early the next morning, Yun Youyou opened her eyes.

At a time like this, the two of you still have the heart to do a comedy routine?
The comedy duo of the plant world could go perform a two-person act tomorrow.

“What am I supposed to do?! I didn’t die when I was a ghost, but if I die after becoming a plant, what a huge loss that’d be! I haven’t even had a girlfriend yet. If I die as an old virgin ghost, how embarrassing would that be?!”
Red-haired Trendy Guy waved a magnanimous hand. “Then I’ll make the sacrifice and reluctantly be your girlfriend.”

Yun Youyou: …Not bad. She even got to listen to comedy first thing in the morning.
Under Shamate’s threat of death, the other two ghosts had no choice but to start helping him analyze the problem.
