It was the girl from the photo, wearing the same stunning Palace Dress.

“Hello, I am Mary,” the girl said, standing before Jian Fan and speaking to him.

Jian Fan looked up, his gaze landing on her.

“You may ask a question. I will answer one for you,” the girl said.

Jian Fan’s eyes remained calm as he looked at her. “You aren’t Mary.”

The girl paused. “What are you saying? How could I not be Mary?”

Jian Fan’s tone remained steady. “You aren’t.”

The girl’s expression turned solemn. “Are you sure? I hate it when people doubt my identity. You will pay a price for your denial.”

“I’m sure,” Jian Fan said without hesitation.

The moment the words left Jian Fan’s mouth, the girl dissolved into starlight and vanished. Simultaneously, everything in the surroundings plunged into darkness once more, until a long while later, a sliver of light filtered down again.

A person appeared before Jian Fan once more.

It was the Groom, dressed in a Tuxedo.

He wore a smile and bowed toward Jian Fan in a gentlemanly salute. “Hello, my human. What is your question?”

The moment he bowed, Jian Fan lunged forward. By the time the man finished speaking, Jian Fan had already pressed the Silver Bracelet in his hand against the man’s heart.

He let out a chuckle and said, “Congratulations. You foresaw the future.”
