Chapter 85
Chapter 85
Qin Weiyi had already checked the Points System.
There were indeed many items inside, but they were currently unable to use them. For example, the Invisibility Pearl that Jian Fan had purchased previously.
They could have bought it before being discovered, but once they were spotted, the option to purchase the Invisibility Pearl in the Points Mall had grayed out.
The Points System was not omnipotent, and Points did not necessarily guarantee that one could trade them for their life.
Aside from the method Lu Jing had mentioned, Qin Weiyi truly had no other choice at the moment.
After only a few steps, the Vampires finally reached them.
Lu Jing was the first to launch an attack against their opponents.
He exerted every ounce of his strength, temporarily holding back all nine Vampires in front of them. Although Qin Weiyi was reluctant, he seized the opportunity and quickly ran out.
He had been conserving his stamina all this time.
Qin Weiyi wasn’t like Qin Nan or Jian Fan, who went long periods without exercise. He was a student and participated in many sports at school. While he couldn’t match Lu Jing’s physical endurance, running a thousand meters or so now was no problem at all.
Not only that, but he also pulled a combat knife from his clothes and gripped it tightly in his hand.
This was also something Lu Jing had given him.
Qin Weiyi recalled the scene from back then.
Lu Jing had been covered in blood at the time, clutching a blood-stained combat knife. After realizing he had been saved, he had collapsed onto the ground.
He lay there spread-eagled for a while before half-sitting up and handing the combat knife to Qin Weiyi. “For you.”
“For me?”
Lu Jing nodded. “A thank-you gift.”
Qin Weiyi didn’t stand on ceremony and accepted the knife. In the Realm of Death, having an extra weapon was equivalent to having an extra layer of insurance for one’s life.
Whatever they had on them when they entered the Realm of Death came with them; this combat knife was clearly a personal item of Lu Jing’s.
“You saved me. From now on, my life is yours,” Lu Jing had told Qin Weiyi grandly, as if it were just a trivial matter.
At the time, Qin Weiyi hadn’t believed him.
In the Realm of Death, was there really someone who would give their life away just because they were saved once? As long as Lu Jing could protect him, that was enough.
And now, Lu Jing was fulfilling his promise.
Qin Weiyi suddenly felt an urge to cry.
He wanted to scream.
To hell with this Realm of Death!
But Qin Weiyi couldn’t. He could only hold his breath and push himself to charge out. Only by staying alive would Lu Jing’s choice have value. He didn’t even dare to look back.
Lu Jing kept a constant eye on Qin Weiyi’s direction; he couldn’t let the Vampires catch up to him.
Some of the Vampires had indeed intended to pursue Qin Weiyi, but Lu Jing intercepted them. Their primary target had always been Qi Shuping. Upon realizing Lu Jing’s intentions, they actually gave up on chasing Qin Weiyi and began to focus their attacks on Lu Jing and Qi Shuping.
Once Lu Jing was dead, they could surround and kill Qin Weiyi again. The Vampires were in no hurry.
Qi Shuping also gripped her Silver Bracelet tightly. The more dangerous the situation became, the calmer she grew.
She was clearly no match for these Vampires, even with Lu Jing’s help and the Silver Bracelet in her hand.
At first, the Vampires were wary of the Silver Bracelet, avoiding being injured by the silver weapon when they struck. However, after clashing for a while, the Silver Bracelet was kicked out of Qi Shuping’s hand. Once she was disarmed, the Vampires swarmed her.
The Vampires had already surrounded Qi Shuping completely.
Watching the group of Vampires before her open their mouths wide, Qi Shuping wanted to struggle, but she found she couldn’t even manage that much anymore.
“Professor Qi!”
Qi Shuping heard Lu Jing’s shout, filled with worry and fear.
She managed a small smile.
In the Realm of Death, where demise could strike at any moment, she had long since prepared herself for the end.
She closed her eyes, and a flash of white light seemed to flicker before her.
Was this… death?
Qi Shuping suddenly felt a sense of finality, as if the dust had finally settled.
In front of the mirror, Jian Fan’s expression was heavy with thought. Finally, he reached a decision.
“Find the switch,” he said.
Qin Nan froze, staring at Jian Fan in disbelief. “You can talk?” he asked weakly.
Jian Fan didn’t move, merely tightening his grip on the Silver Bracelet in his hand. “According to the legend of Bloody Mary, this is the only place where she can truly be summoned.”
“You want to summon Bloody Mary?” Qin Nan was shocked once again.
Jian Fan didn’t care to explain further, repeating simply, “The switch.”
Qin Nan wanted to argue, but Mu Xin pulled him back, shaking her head at him.
Since Jian Fan had made a decision, he must have his reasons. He wasn’t an impulsive or reckless person. Summoning Bloody Mary was undoubtedly risky, but because of that risk, Jian Fan wouldn’t do it unless he was absolutely certain or had no other choice.
Qin Nan knew this, of course.
But he still didn’t want Jian Fan to take the risk.
Mu Xin sighed and turned to start searching the room for the switch, while Qin Nan remained standing where he was, unmoving.
The switch wasn’t hard to find; it was right by the door.
“It’s over here by the door,” Mu Xin said to Jian Fan as she stood beside it.
Jian Fan kept his eyes fixed on the mirror. Upon hearing Mu Xin’s words, he immediately replied, “Turn off the lights.”
Mu Xin paused. Although she already knew Jian Fan’s plan, she still hesitated when it came time to actually execute it. Ultimately, she reached out and placed her hand on the switch.

The display room was plunged into darkness.
Qin Nan instinctively wanted to step forward. If anything happened to Jian Fan, he wanted to be by his side-at the very least, perhaps he could help somehow.
However, just as he moved, Jian Fan’s voice drifted through the dark.
“If the summoning of Bloody Mary is successful, it should be the original Vampire. I can’t guarantee that I will succeed,” Jian Fan said.
Qin Nan stopped in his tracks. He understood what Jian Fan meant.
They had to stay alive.
If Jian Fan failed, they would have to continue the summoning. They would have to use Jian Fan’s sacrifice to rule out the wrong choices, work hard to find the Vampire hiding behind the scenes, eliminate him, and leave this world.
In the darkness, no one spoke again.
Until the name “Mary” began to ring out, over and over.
With every chant from Jian Fan, the tension in Qin Nan’s heart tightened. After the third “Mary” was uttered, the mirror in front of them suddenly reacted.
The mirror flared to life, shining as if the entire room were still lit. The reflection showed the interior of the display room perfectly.
Qin Nan clenched his fists. The light from the mirror hit Jian Fan, coating him in a glow that looked like a barrier of isolation. Qin Nan had a feeling that the space Jian Fan occupied at this moment was no longer the same one they were in.
Jian Fan’s expression remained calm.
His gaze was fixed on every movement within the mirror.
Shortly after the mirror lit up, the human skins inside the Display Cabinets suddenly began to swell. They transformed into human shapes, standing within the cabinets, but their eyes all seemed to turn toward Jian Fan.
“Are you the one summoning me? Human.”
A heavy, low voice echoed in Jian Fan’s ear.
