“Oh? Now that you put it that way, I’m even more interested.”

Another man spoke, wearing a top hat and formal evening wear.

He was white, with a tall, slender build, handsome features, and an elegant air about him, like some kind of aristocrat.

He, too, was one of the Illuminati’s Professional Purifiers: Jack the Ripper.

Seeing the two of them like this, Xiaoshuai could only feel helpless.

Fine. In any case, he had already prepared to run.

“Stop!”

Just then, the man walking at the very front waved a hand, and the group instantly halted.

“What is it?”

“The space has changed!”

The man at the front, who was also a Professional Purifier, Freddy Krueger, said.

The hospital around them rapidly began to turn old and decrepit. Cracks spread across the surrounding walls, bloodstains appeared all over the floor, and from somewhere far off in the darkness came a spine-chilling scraping sound.

Oda Nobumaru let out a cold snort. He stripped off his clothes, revealing the tattoo on his back.

It was a vicious Fiend with only a head. The Fiend writhed disgustingly across his skin, opened its mouth, and let out a roar. In an instant, the surrounding space shattered.

But when they returned to the real world, they discovered that their position had changed.

They were now on the rooftop of the building next door.

John, hiding inside the hospital, saw this and immediately pressed the button beside his hand.

The building next door exploded in an instant.

The Fiend Domain just now had been deployed by him. It was an item he had obtained in the previous Fiendish World, and it could be considered exceedingly rare.

Yet the other side had broken through it with a casual move.

Still, he did not care. As long as he could move them next door, that was enough.

Because sealed inside that building was a powerful Fiend.

Soon, a shocking roar rang out from that direction.

Seeing this, John immediately ran toward the third floor. He had to notify Liu Ye and the others as quickly as possible.

But after only a few steps, he suddenly felt his mind go hazy. The next second, he stared in astonishment as those four people appeared right in front of him.

Jack the Ripper was holding a pocket watch in his hand.

Ten minutes later, John lay on the floor covered in blood. Oda Nobumaru had one foot planted on his head, while beside him, Jack was clutching the trembling Miss Zhang in his hand.

“You really are stubborn. That man called Liu Ye has nothing to do with you at all, so why go so far to cover for him? All you have to do is tell us a little about him, and we’ll let you go!” Jack said with a beaming smile.

At that moment, John felt as if his entire body had been sliced apart by knives. The opponent’s Fiend had inflicted tremendous damage on him.

In their hands, he had not even lasted a minute before being defeated with ease.

The rest of the time had been nothing but endless torment.

“You… you’re already this strong. So why are you still doing something like this?”

Aside from Xiaoshuai, all three of the others possessed high-level Fiends. People like them were even stronger than most ordinary high-level Fiends.

He could not understand why people like this would do something so despicable.

“Heh. To you people, Fiends are terrifying existences. But to us, Fiends are the finest partners one could ask for.”
Hearing that, John understood at once.

These people were actually working with a Fiend!

“Oh my? Looks like I let something slip. But it doesn’t matter. You’re going to die anyway. Before you do, though, I can still let you enjoy a magnificent little drama.”

As he spoke, Jack raised the small knife and aimed it at the trembling Miss Zhang.

But despite her fear, Miss Zhang forced an ugly smile onto her face and said to John, “Yuelang, it looks like this is goodbye. I love you!”

The moment she finished speaking, the dagger in Jack’s hand came down.

“Bang!”

With a crisp crack, the dagger was sent flying out of Jack’s hand.

Only then did the four of them realize that another person had somehow appeared beside them.

Whoosh!

All four instantly darted aside, cold sweat breaking out across their bodies. None of them had sensed when this person had arrived.

Xiaoshuai, in particular, was shaking in terror, because the person standing before them was none other than Liu Ye.

Liu Ye looked down at John, who had been beaten so badly even his own mother would not have recognized him, and immediately flew into a rage.

“You’re the people trying to kill Fu Yang and the others, aren’t you? This is outrageous! Committing crimes and breaking the law like this-I’m calling the police and having you all arrested!”

“Is this kid insane?” Oda Nobumaru said, speechless.

But just then, Xiaoshuai shouted, “Idiot, don’t let him lead you by the nose! Every word this guy says has a hidden meaning. If you follow his logic, you’ll fall right into his trap!”

At those words, John’s expression changed as well.

This man was truly terrifying. He had actually seen through Liu Ye’s intentions.

John had originally thought those three were the scariest ones here, but now it seemed Flying Sky was no less formidable. No wonder he could stand together with them.

“Hmph. I don’t give a damn about any of that,” Oda Nobumaru snapped. “So what if he’s powerful? All of you can die!”

As he spoke, he revealed his tattoo again.

That terrifying, malicious Fiend’s head appeared once more, and countless faint whispers instantly filled the air around them.

The voices were like tiny worms, burrowing straight into John’s head.

At that moment, it felt as though countless insects were tearing at John’s brain. Yet he could not move at all. He could not even make a sound.

Liu Ye did not notice anything wrong with John. John was covered in so much blood that Liu Ye could not make out his expression at all.

But Oda Nobumaru’s actions annoyed him greatly. His big brother had told him before: if anyone ever dared to act tough in front of him, he should show his tattoo and scare them off.

So Liu Ye simply stripped off his shirt, revealing the Lord Guan tattoo on his back.

Then Lord Guan’s closed eyes suddenly snapped open. His figure manifested in an instant, and the guandao in his hands came chopping down from above with a thunderous crack.

The malicious Fiend’s head was split cleanly in two.

“Awooo!”

The head let out a miserable shriek, then turned into specks of light that flowed into Liu Ye’s body.

“How could this be…”

Oda Nobumaru stared blankly at everything before him. He could not see Lord Guan. All he saw was Liu Ye take off his shirt, and then his Fiend was cleaved in half.

That had been a B-grade Fiend.

Before he could think any further, a thin line appeared on his forehead, extending all the way downward.

“Splurt!”

Oda Nobumaru’s entire body split into two halves and collapsed to the ground.

Xiaoshuai and the other two were stunned.

What was going on? Oda Nobumaru had died after a single exchange? Even his Fiend had been destroyed.

But where was Liu Ye’s Fiend? Why couldn’t they see it?
