Chapter 70

He arrived at the West Campus and saw two students wrestling on the athletic field.

Both of them were going for the kill, raining blows on each other as if they had no regard for their own lives.

In just moments, their heads and bodies were drenched in blood.

Yet they seemed not to feel a thing and kept grappling with each other.

The students nearby watched the scene unfold, but not only did none of them step in to stop it, they even stood around cheering.

Yellow Hair was used to it. This was normal for this campus. Although these people weren’t Fiends, every last one of them was incredibly violent. The slightest displeasure, and they would fight as if only one of them could live.

The teachers at the school did nothing about it either. Some even indulged it.

Sometimes, Yellow Hair even felt they seemed more like Fiends than he did.

“Big Bear!”

Yellow Hair patted the shoulder of the person in front of him. When the guy turned around, he nearly pissed himself in fright. Only after taking a closer look did he recognize who it was.

“Brother Bu, what’s with the outfit? Did someone die in your family?”

“Sigh… let’s not talk about that right now. I need to ask you something,” Yellow Hair said.

Big Bear still had quite a bit of blood on him, and one side of his face was swollen. It was obvious he had just been in a fight too.

“What is it, Brother Bu?” Big Bear asked.

“Lend me your notes for every subject.”

Big Bear blinked, then said, “No, wait, bro. I don’t have any!”

Yellow Hair stared at him in shock.

“You don’t? Don’t you take notes in class?”

Big Bear scratched his head and said awkwardly, “Bro, I’ve never even been to class!”

Yellow Hair: “…”

“Then you at least have textbooks, right?”

“Used them as toilet paper.”

Yellow Hair: “…”

“Seriously, what am I supposed to say to you? You go to school and don’t study, so what are you doing all day, screwing around? The moment it matters, you drop the ball!”

Yellow Hair was furious. The key problem was, if none of them had anything, what was he supposed to do?

Big Bear: “…”

“Go ask the others. Textbooks, notes, anything will do,” Yellow Hair said.

Big Bear scratched his head, then went off.

A while later, Yellow Hair stared blankly at the things in front of him.

“Are you telling me your entire campus can’t even scrape together one full set of textbooks?”

“Bro, this is already the best we could do. A few pages were pasted on the wall back when the dorm had drafts. I even had them peel those off.”

Yellow Hair: “…”

“Forget it. It’ll have to do.”

Yellow Hair took the books and read as he walked back. To be honest, after so many years of not studying, he had forgotten almost everything.

He sat dispiritedly on the edge of a flower bed, clutching a stack of book pages in his hands. What decent Fiend would read this stuff?

Just as he was sitting there stewing, he suddenly spotted a new face. The other person was walking down the road trembling, with a teacher’s ID hanging around his neck. Yellow Hair quickly grabbed the pages and went over.

…

“Damn it! Why did something like this have to happen to me?!”

The man shouted with tears in his eyes.

After all, he was a Rich Second Generation. His family might not have endless money, but it was more than enough for him to squander as recklessly as he wanted.

He should have been living a life of wine, women, and luxury, but instead he had to take on this deadly job!

“Teacher.”

A voice suddenly rang out. Rich Second Generation turned his head and discovered an incredibly adorable female student.

Rich Second Generation forgot his fear in an instant.

“What can I help you with?” Rich Second Generation asked with a smile.

“Teacher, there’s something I’d like to ask you. Would now be convenient?” the girl said with a smile.
“Of course, of course I’m free! Let’s… let’s talk over by the warehouse!”

“Sure!”

Ten minutes later, Yellow Hair walked out of the warehouse with a dark expression, shaking the blood off his hands.

Damn it. The guy didn’t even know a simple Pythagorean theorem. What a waste of the yin energy he’d spent changing his appearance.

Still, it wasn’t a complete loss.

From Rich Second Generation, he learned that these new teachers had all come here to complete missions.

He didn’t know about the others, but Rich Second Generation’s mission was to teach every class well and participate in at least one of the school’s paranormal incidents.

Yellow Hair found that strange. A weakling like the guy just now couldn’t even beat him, yet he wanted to get involved with those paranormal incidents?

The Fiends lurking inside those paranormal incidents were nothing like weaklings such as themselves… Hm?

Wait!

Yellow Hair suddenly thought of a solution. True, they couldn’t kill that bastard, but those paranormal things could.

At that thought, he chuckled darkly.

He hurried back to the classroom and told the other Fiends about it.

The other Fiends also felt this was a workable plan.

However, they would have to think it through carefully. The real problem was how to lure Liu Ye over there.

“By the way, did you borrow the notes?” Yellow Hair asked.

That plan might be reliable, but right now, the biggest problem was tomorrow’s exam.

“We borrowed them, but the problem is we can’t understand any of it,” one Fiend said helplessly. They hadn’t studied in decades. Even if you asked them to copy the answers now, they wouldn’t know how.

The whole crowd of Fiends immediately sank into worry. If they did badly on the exam, wouldn’t Liu Ye kill them?

The key question was, what were they supposed to do now?

As the saying went, a train ran fast only if the locomotive pulled well. Yellow Hair came up with an idea in an instant.

“Don’t we still have a few teachers here?”

The eyes of the gathered Fiends lit up at once.

And so, that night, Xiaoshuai and his companion stared in utter confusion at the crowd of Fiends in front of them.

“Teacher, what’s the deal with domain and range?”

“Teacher, this particle moving in circular motion is…”

“Teacher, adverbial complements…”

Xiaoshuai: “…”

No, seriously, what was going on? Did Fiends have to take the college entrance exam these days too? Had this circle gotten that competitive already?

“Teacher, why are you spacing out? We don’t have much time! Hurry up and explain how to solve this problem!” Yellow Hair shouted irritably.

Xiaoshuai: “…”

Early the next morning, the whole crowd of Fiends arrived in the classroom exhausted.

The experience from the previous night had reminded them of the terror of being dominated by studying.

Still, after studying all night, they had made thorough preparations. Of course, actually knowing the material was impossible, but making all sorts of cheat sheets was easy enough. Xiaoshuai had even marked the key points for them. If nothing else, it should be more than enough to get through this exam.

Just as they were brimming with confidence, Liu Ye walked in and said, “From the looks of it, everyone has finished reviewing. Good. Our exam is about to begin. Come on, follow me.”

The gathered Fiends: “…”

Where were they going? Why did they have such a bad feeling about this? Wasn’t this an exam? It was the kind of exam they were thinking of, right? The kind with a sheet of paper and a pen, right? Right?

“Hurry up and come out. What are you dawdling for? The teachers set up the exam site overnight,” Liu Ye said with a smile.

The gathered Fiends: “…”
