Chapter 66
Chapter 66
After Liu Ye went in, he saw a gaunt man with a bluish complexion sitting there.
When the man saw Liu Ye enter, an ugly smile appeared on his face.
“Welcome, Mr. Liu Ye!”
“Hello. How should I address you?”
“Just call me Director Zhen,” Director Zhen said with a beaming smile.
“Mr. Liu Ye, forgive my curiosity, but according to your file, you are already a professor at a prestigious university. Why would you want to come here and work as a teacher?”
So this was the legendary interview. Liu Ye hurriedly recalled the movies he had watched. Then a light bulb practically appeared over his head, and he said with absolute confidence,
“Because I’m going to conquer Huicheng High School!”
Director Zhen: “…”
Back at the apartment, the driver was eating lunch when he suddenly remembered something and asked the Shadow Fiend,
“By the way, what educational movie did you find for him earlier?”
“Crows Zero.”
The driver: “…”
At the school, Director Zhen worked hard to calm himself down. In the end, he still processed Liu Ye’s onboarding.
There was no helping it. They were desperately short-staffed lately. Even someone like this would have to do.
At the same time, in a certain classroom, a woman was trembling as she wrote on the blackboard.
The classroom was extremely rundown, completely incomparable to the beautiful buildings outside.
“Teacher… why are you shaking? Are you scared of us?”
A faint, eerie voice drifted over.
Crack!
The chalk in the woman’s hand snapped. She immediately turned around and forced out a smile.
“H-How could that be? How could I… be scared of you?”
She lifted her head and looked out, only to see that every student below was horrifying beyond belief.
Some had no heads, blood gushing from their necks. Some were playing with their own intestines.
Worse still, some had all their skin flayed off, sitting there as bloody masses of raw flesh.
The intense shock made waves of nausea roll through the woman.
The fact that she could force herself to keep standing there already counted as having nerves of steel.
Like Liu Ye, she was also a player in this mission. But unlike Liu Ye’s mission, one of her objectives was to properly teach every class.
Although the textbook content was just simple math, the scene in front of her made it extremely difficult for her to even speak.
“Teacher… class like this is so boring. Why don’t we play a game instead?”
“Yeah, yeah. Let’s play a game!”
“Exactly, Teacher. Don’t tell us you’re too scared to play.”
All the Fiends shouted excitedly.
“H-How could I be? Wh-What do you want to play?” the woman asked, her voice thick with tears.
“How about Pin the Features?”
“Yeah, yeah! Let’s play that!”
“We haven’t played it in ages.”
The woman had no choice but to agree. She thought Pin the Features was just drawing on the blackboard, but what the Fiends did next left her dumbfounded.
One of them walked up, tore off his own ear, and slapped it onto the blackboard.
Then came an eye dug from its socket, and a nose sliced off and stuck on as well.
In the end, only one eye was left to be placed.
“Your turn, Teacher.”
They all stared fixedly at her. The woman looked at the human head stuck together on the blackboard with blood. She did not know if it was an illusion, but the head seemed to have come alive, smiling right at her.
“Aaaah!”
She could no longer endure the shock and frantically ran for the exit.
But just as she reached the doorway, the classroom door shut on its own. In an instant, the entire classroom erupted.
“She’s human! She’s human!”
“Haha, boys, dinner’s served!”
The Fiend students gradually closed in around her.
“No… no… please, no!!!”
As the sound of chewing rose, the woman’s voice slowly faded away.
Before long, they returned to their seats, fully satisfied. A little over ten minutes later, the classroom door opened, and Director Zhen walked in with Liu Ye.
All of the Fiend students immediately sat up straight like model students.
“Quiet down and listen. This is your new English teacher. He is a senior professor our school spent a great deal of money to hire, so you must show him respect. Understood?”
“Understood!”
The Fiend students answered in perfect unison.
“All right, Mr. Liu Ye, I’ll leave the class to you. I’ll be going now.”
With that, Director Zhen left the classroom.
The moment he stepped out, every Fiend student instantly dropped the act.
One Fiend student by the door, his face covered in blood, looked Liu Ye up and down with a cocky sneer.
“Pretty boy, you-”
Before he could finish, Liu Ye strode over and slapped him across the face.
With a thunderous crack, his head spun several full circles before wobbling back into place. Then, right before everyone’s eyes, his face swelled up at a visible speed.
“What was that for?!”
The Fiend student clutched his cheek and shouted, his voice trembling with tears. He couldn’t help it-that slap had hurt way too much!
And damn it, he hadn’t even done anything yet. Was it really appropriate to open with a big slap to the face?
System: “…”
So everything it had told him before he came in had gone in one ear and out the other!
No sooner had the System finished that thought than Liu Ye kicked the student too.
“Ah!”
“Ow, hey!”
“Help! The teacher is using corporal punishment on students!!!”
Liu Ye tossed aside the chair in his hand, then turned to the other Fiend students with a kindly smile.
The Fiend students were all stunned. A second later, they fled toward the door in terror-only to discover that it would not open.
“We’ll fight you to the death!”
“Aaaah!!!”
“I’m sorry! Spare me!”
“Don’t come any closer!!!”
A dozen minutes later, every last Fiend student lay twitching on the floor.
They really couldn’t understand it. If they had actually done something, fine, they could accept being beaten.
But this was their first time meeting him! He hadn’t even said a word before charging in and beating them up. Wasn’t that a little excessive?!
At that moment, Liu Ye wiped the sweat from his forehead. Exercising on a hot day really was deadly.
Then he took out his Teacher’s Bible and flipped to the first page. Looking at the first line, he read it softly.
“Become one with your students.”
Liu Ye checked it off.
The Fiend students: “…”
Was that what the phrase meant?! Was he becoming one with his students? He had beaten his students into one pile!
Originally, Liu Ye hadn’t known what that line meant either. But the Shadow Fiend had shown him a recording, and he figured it was a hint meant for him.
In that video, the teacher had also started swinging the moment they entered.
Liu Ye had even sighed inwardly. Education in the big city really was strict. Who knew that teachers greeted students this way on the first day to establish authority? Truly eye-opening.
“Ahem. Well, let me introduce myself. My name is Liu Ye. Starting today, I will be your homeroom teacher, as well as your British history teacher. If any of you run into trouble in the future, you can come to me. I can help you solve it!”
The Fiend students: “…”
Were they sure he didn’t mean solve them? And since when had the school opened a new British history class?
Liu Ye looked at the silent students below and realized something had gone wrong. He immediately pulled out his Bible.
