Chapter 250
Chapter 250
The message came from Guiwa.
Xiaoshuai immediately rose from the bed and rummaged through his long hair before pulling out a length of wire.
Liu Sibo stared down from the upper bunk. How could this man hide absolutely anything on his body?
Xiaoshuai bent the wire several times, worked it inside the door lock, and quickly opened the door.
“Let’s go!”
Xiaoshuai ran out first. After a moment’s hesitation, Liu Sibo followed. For now, staying near Xiaoshuai was still the safer choice.
Meanwhile, in another room at the hospital, Liu Ye had been strapped to an operating table. A group of doctors were preparing to perform a lobotomy on him!
A lobotomy was once used to treat mental illness. After the frontal lobe was severed, the patient became indifferent to everything around them and essentially lost all emotion.
Because Liu Ye had caused enormous damage to the hospital, the staff had unanimously decided to perform the surgery before beginning their research on him.
“Cut him! Cut out everything you can! Let’s see how he causes trouble after that!”
Wrapped from head to toe in bandages, Director Zhao sat in a wheelchair and roared at the doctors.
He had fallen from the eighth floor! First Liu Ye had smashed him around, then hurled him from the window. If a banner below had not caught him, he truly would have died!
Now he wanted revenge.
The doctors said nothing. They had performed this surgery countless times, along with procedures far more excessive. Their hospital was connected to a certain place that required large numbers of human bodies.
Many patients in this mental hospital had no one who wanted them. They were the perfect source of merchandise. No one would care if they died.
To the staff, these patients were no different from livestock. Perhaps they had felt uncomfortable in the beginning, but over time, they came to enjoy the sensation of controlling another person’s life.
A nurse picked up a pair of clippers and shaved Liu Ye’s head bald.
No one noticed that after his hair fell to the floor, it slowly merged into the ground.
The lead surgeon raised his scalpel and aimed it at Liu Ye’s head. Just as he prepared to cut…
The operating room lights flickered.
“What’s happening?”
Everyone looked up. The next instant…
Crash!
The surgical lamp exploded. Countless glass shards shot into their eyes like missiles.
“Aaaagh!”
The doctors collapsed, clutching their eyes and howling in agony. But it was not over.
A red-faced man suddenly appeared before them. He wore a leather jacket and enormous sunglasses, held a Hunting Rifle, clenched a cigar between his teeth, and had a beard that reached his chest.
He wrapped one arm around Liu Ye and aimed the gun in his other hand at the screaming doctors below.
Just as Second Master was about to fire, the operating room doors opened and two people rushed inside.
“We made it!”
Xiaoshuai looked up and could not stop himself from swearing.
“What the hell? Terminator T-Second Master? Which Terminator movie is this? Is Hollywood trying to break into the Xia Kingdom market?”
“Can you stop making jokes at a time like this?! Think of something!” Liu Sibo roared beside him.
“Right, right. Second Master!”
Xiaoshuai hurried over.
“Second Master, it’s me, Ah Fei! We’ve met before. You even hacked me up at Rose Apartment!”
That incident had nearly frightened the soul out of him.
Everyone fell silent.
Was he certain that connection would help?
Second Master glanced at Xiaoshuai. He did indeed recognize the man. After all, he often saw Xiaoshuai around Liu Ye. He lowered his gun.
Seeing this, Xiaoshuai hurried forward.
“Second Master, there’s no need to use a butcher’s cleaver to kill a chicken. Leave these worthless scum to me.”
Xiaoshuai reached to Second Master’s waist and pulled out a handgun.
“Thank goodness!”
Liu Sibo and several viewers online breathed sighs of relief. At last, Liu Ye had been rescued.
“Xu Fei, let’s hurry and escape-”
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Before Liu Sibo could finish, gunshots rang out. The doctors on the floor immediately fell silent.
Xiaoshuai stood holding the handgun he had borrowed from Second Master. White smoke still curled from its barrel.
“What did you say?”
The gunshots had been rather loud, so Xiaoshuai had not heard him clearly.
Liu Sibo stared at him in shock.
“How could you kill them?”
The online comments began scrolling rapidly too.
“Exactly! They were only following orders. How could you kill them?”
“Executioner! They’d already lost the ability to resist. Why did you still kill them?”
“Scumbag! Filth!”
“Damn. I used to like him, but he even killed an innocent nurse. I’ll hate him for the rest of my life.”
Xiaoshuai ignored the useless comments online. Brother Liu could not kill anyone during this mission, but that did not mean Xiaoshuai could not. All he had to do was kill anyone Brother Liu wanted dead before Brother Liu could do it himself.
“Y-you killed people!”
“Yes, I killed them. So what? They wanted to hurt us. Why should I indulge them?”
Without even looking, Xiaoshuai fired at a nurse crawling toward the exit.
Bang!
The nurse’s body jerked, then fell still. If circumstances permitted, Xiaoshuai would have slaughtered the entire hospital. When forced to choose between two evils, his killing people was better than Liu Ye doing it.
After Xiaoshuai eliminated every doctor and nurse, Second Master nodded to him. He set Liu Ye down, then returned to Liu Ye’s back.
Xiaoshuai stole a glance and discovered that a television had appeared on Liu Ye’s back at some point. No wonder Second Master looked so stylish.
“But… but killing people is illegal,” Liu Sibo said, close to breaking down.
Although he had undergone certain changes, not enough time had passed to transform his way of thinking completely.
“Oh, you’ve reminded me. Come help me clean this up.”
Liu Sibo had no words.
That wasn’t what I meant! So as long as no one finds out, you think it’s fine?
Director Zhao was preparing to sneak away when Xiaoshuai’s voice reached him.
“If I were you, I’d stay right where you are.”
Director Zhao immediately stopped. He turned around with a false smile.
“I was only checking whether anyone else was coming.”
“All right. Don’t worry. I won’t kill you.”
Director Zhao instantly relaxed.
“But you’d better think about what fun things there are to do in this hospital.”
“Huh?”
Director Zhao did not understand. By the time Xiaoshuai finished cleaning up, Liu Ye was slowly opening his eyes.
“Big brother!”
“Brother Liu, you’re awake! Here, have a strawberry.”
Xiaoshuai had deliberately taken it from the nurses’ station on his way out earlier.
Liu Sibo fell silent.
What exactly was the seniority between these two?
Xiaoshuai was extremely nervous. Guiwa had told him that the milk trick could only be used once every three hours. A second bottle before then would have no effect.
Liu Ye stretched. Still somewhat dazed, he rubbed his eyes and spoke to Xiaoshuai.
“Big brother, while I was asleep, I think I heard someone in my head telling me to play games, livestream, and make money.”
As he spoke, tremendous motivation suddenly filled him.
“I want to make money!”
Xiaoshuai fell silent.
He could forget everything except making money.
“All right, all right. We’ll make money. Finish your fruit first, then we’ll go earn some.”
Liu Sibo had no words.
Why did he have the vague sense that events were not supposed to unfold this way? Wasn’t he supposed to be the protagonist?
After they finished the fruit, the group returned to the ward.
Brother Biao and his two assistants were reclining comfortably on their beds. For the first time, they appreciated just how wonderful a peaceful life could be. Even the comments accusing them of neglecting their work failed to move them.
The other patients around them might have been mentally ill, but there was never a dull moment among them. They were quite entertaining to watch.
Just as the trio relaxed, a voice like a demon’s sounded beside their ears.
“Brother Biao!”
