Chapter 215
Chapter 215
Ji Si saw Jiang Yunsui’s knees bend as she prepared to follow the crowd. His eyelid twitched, and he darted over to haul her upright.
Dangling like a chick, Jiang Yunsui stared wide-eyed. (O∆O)
Ji Si manually steadied her, then vanished.
Lin Lang looked around. “Huh? Where did Master go?”
Lin Ran shouted throughout the courtyard, “Master! Master, where are you?”
Lin Shitou joined her. “Master! Master…”
Within moments, cries of “Master” sounded everywhere. The children ran outside to search. One even lifted a rock.
“Master?”
No master. Only an annoyed earthworm.
Jiang Yunsui bobbed her head and called “Master” in her childish voice along with everyone else.
The adults stared in confusion.
“What are you doing? What master? Who’s your master? Are you calling back a soul?”
Ji Si reappeared expressionlessly, holding someone.
Lin Lang cried, “Master is here!”
Every child rushed over.
Ji Lu stared blankly at the children.
“What’s happening, brother?”
He had been dragged here without explanation and remained completely bewildered.
Ji Si silently pushed him forward.
“He’ll teach you.”
Then he fled.
Unable to catch Ji Si, Lin Lang and the others turned burning gazes on Ji Lu, who dressed exactly like him.
Ji Lu shivered. How could children make him feel so uneasy?
“You…”
Lin Lang asked, “Are you stronger than Master Ji Si?”
Ji Lu laughed. “Ha! That block of wood became a master?”
He immediately boasted, “Of course I’m stronger. We’re ranked by numbers. Six is bigger than four, right? He’s Four, I’m Six. Who do you think is stronger?”
He was lying to the children.
The hidden guards were indeed ranked by numbers, but lower numbers were actually more powerful.
That did not stop Ji Lu from bragging.
“Master!”
The children instantly surrounded him.
Ji Lu’s smile froze.
He soon understood the situation and gnashed his teeth. Well played, Ji Si. Who knew that man could be so treacherous? He had dumped this enormous nuisance on Ji Lu, and Ji Lu had eagerly stepped into the trap!
And another thing…
Ji Lu pulled Jiang Yunsui from the crowd and held her, speechless.
“I can understand them, but Little Yunsui, why are you making trouble too? Martial arts? Can you even learn?”
He rolled his eyes without mercy.
Jiang Yunsui got along well with everyone in the mansion, including the hidden guards.
Sometimes, when they were bored, they played hide-and-seek with her.
Their concealment skills had improved while playing, and their hiding places grew ever more creative.
The little girl was far too good at finding people.
Jiang Yunsui stared at Ji Lu, then decisively shook her head.
Martial training involved hardship. Little Mushroom could not endure that kind of hardship!
Ji Lu had known it. It was not as if no one had tried teaching her before.
More importantly, Jiang Yunsui lacked talent for martial arts.
Rather than train, she preferred hiding more poisonous things on herself.
Ji Lu cleared his throat. “Since all of you want to learn, I’ll teach you…”
His current duties were light. He mainly alternated with Ji Si in protecting Jiang Yunsui.
Training the children would relieve his boredom.
Thus, lessons began.
Martial arts were genuinely difficult, demanding endurance and perseverance.
Developing inner force also required talent.
On the very first day, the children plunged into misery.
Jiang Yunsui joined Lin Lang and the others in a horse stance and discovered she could endure longer than they could.
She did possess some foundation, even if her previous exercise habits had been wildly inconsistent.

But she soon grew tired and quit. She would find Ji Yan’an instead.
She had decided it would be better to ask Shen Qingzhu whether he had more snake eggs.
Snake gu were excellent. They were small enough to hide on her body, obedient and pretty. Qianqian and Houhou could find their food. They were effortless to keep and useful in danger.
Jiang Yunsui bounced away like a rabbit.
Ji Lu pretended not to notice.
“Ji Yan’an! Ji Yan’an…”
Huh? He was gone.
She wandered around looking for him.
She did not find Ji Yan’an, but she did obtain two eggs and two crisp cucumbers from an auntie.
Crunch. Crunch.
Eating a cucumber, Jiang Yunsui wondered where else to look.
Ji Si appeared. “The Young Master is busy. You don’t need to find him.”
“Oh.”
She promptly withdrew her outstretched foot and offered him her other cucumber.
“Si Si, this is for you.”
“And this too.”
She gave him an egg.
Her eyes darted. “I’ll trade Auntie for a few more cucumbers.”
Naturally, she had paid copper coins.
This time, she obtained several large cucumbers and approached Ji Si.
“Si Si~”
He stared at her. What did she want now?
“Take me to the elephants.”
Ji Si was about to refuse when she added, “If you don’t, I’ll have Zuozuo and Youyou take me.”
She handed her cucumbers to the mastiffs. Their mouths were so large that each cucumber vanished in one bite.
Qianqian and Houhou received one as well.
Ji Si fell silent. “…Fine.”
Jiang Yunsui immediately beamed and patted her chest. “Don’t worry. I definitely won’t cause trouble.”
Ji Si said nothing. Her promise sounded remarkably unreliable.
With two dogs and two roosters following, Ji Si carried her swiftly back to the muddy pit.
When the calf saw her, it rose. Its trunk swung happily, and its fan-like ears flapped.
“Your mother isn’t here.”
Jiang Yunsui offered it a cucumber.
The calf curled its trunk around the cucumber and slowly ate it. Its trunk then wound around Jiang Yunsui’s wrist.
She held out a hand to Ji Si.
He passed her a small hoe and took another for himself. Together, they began digging the slope.
The mastiffs helped. The roosters searched for food nearby and collected something venomous for Little Pink.
“Wait a little longer. Once we finish the slope, you can come out.”
Jiang Yunsui chattered as she dug.
Ji Si worked silently.
Jiang Yunsui had genuine talent for digging. With a tool in hand, her small arms swung rapidly. She neither feared dirt nor complained of exhaustion.
When the slope was half finished, the mother elephant returned.
This time, she did not trumpet first. Her enormous body dragged a branch with a rustling scrape.
They looked up to find her already in sight.
The elephant paused upon seeing them. When she found her calf safe, she slowly approached.
