Chapter 95
Chapter 95
Wu Xiaojiu’s smile turned awkward.
Bo Suihan reached out and pinched his nose, gritting his teeth as he put a little force into it.
“Not bad, Wu Xiaojiu. That dog nose of yours is pretty sharp, and those dog paws move fast too. I haven’t even been missing for a full day, and you’ve already found a lead. Looks like you really do have the makings of a detective.”
Wu Xiaojiu reached up to swat his hand away. Knowing full well his excuse was absurd, he hurriedly changed his story.
“I came using your phone’s location. Mainly, Wang Qiang was afraid something had happened to you, so he asked someone at the police station to check it. I’m even driving a police station vehicle.”
Seeing that he still wouldn’t tell the truth, Bo Suihan didn’t want to push him.
He lowered his head with a deliberately relaxed smile, then raised his hand and patted Wu Xiaojiu’s cheek.
“It’s fine. I’m happy you came looking for me. It’s just bad timing. I really have something to deal with right now and can’t get away. Once everything settles down, I’ll come find you, okay?”
Bo Suihan was speaking seriously.
The boy beside them couldn’t take it anymore. He stomped hard on the floor to show his displeasure. When Wu Xiaojiu turned to look at him, the boy even craned his neck with a completely righteous air.
“What are you looking at? You freaks are allowed to flaunt your love here, but I’m not allowed to stomp my foot?
“You’re insane. Your husband beat me to this state, and not only do you not suspect he’s a pervert, you’re still being all lovey-dovey with him. In front of the victim, no less. Don’t the two of you find yourselves disgusting?”
Wu Xiaojiu looked at Bo Suihan. Bo Suihan stood up, leather whip in hand, his face expressionless. Only a small muscle near his brow was pulled taut. It was obvious his teeth were clenched tight, because the side of his cheek had hollowed, while the masseter muscle beside that hollow bulged.
He said nothing. He simply lashed the whip at the boy.
He used a great deal of force. There was even a sharp crack as the whip cut through the air, forcing the boy’s head to jerk to the side.
Blood streamed from the corner of the boy’s mouth, but even so, his smile was radiant.
“He’s a full-on violent maniac. He became an orphan as a child and watched his entire family get wiped out with his own eyes. With a background like that, nothing good can grow out of him. If he took a liking to you, I’m guessing you’re from high society too. Let me give you a word of advice: play around if you want, but don’t take him seriously. Best keep your distance from him. Don’t even think about marriage!”
Before he could finish, another whip landed on him.
Blood welled from both corners of the boy’s mouth. His lips and the corners of his mouth had been torn open together. Only then did Wu Xiaojiu realize with a start that the whip, which looked like some kind of kinky leather toy, actually had tiny studs at the tip.
“See? He’s getting worked up again. Handsome, now that I’ve exposed his true colors, are you still planning to stay with him? Why not consider me instead? My stamina and endurance aren’t any worse than his, and I’ve got a pretty face too. All you have to do is save me.”
The boy looked unconcerned on the surface, but in truth, the pain was turning him inside out.
The corners of his mouth burned so badly they had gone numb. Worse still, blood was trickling down into his shirt and sliding over every inch it touched. It itched and stung at the same time, an awful sensation.
So his eyes darted around, and a wicked idea came to him.
Wu Xiaojiu was fair and well-fed. One look and anyone could tell he was a pampered young master, born with a silver spoon in his mouth and untouched by the dust of the world.
If he could get together with a pervert like Bo Suihan, his family must be extraordinary. Maybe they even had business dealings with Bo Suihan. He might be some big shot Bo Suihan couldn’t afford to offend.
Since he liked men, and since the boy himself had such a good-looking face, why not try seducing him and see if he could get himself out of this mess?
Sure enough, the moment he said that, Wu Xiaojiu looked at him. Those big eyes roved all over his face, but for a long while, he didn’t say a word.
“What, am I not good-looking enough? You’re not satisfied with this face of mine?”
The boy grew nervous under his stare. Hearing this, Wu Xiaojiu smiled at him.
“No, I just feel like… haven’t the two of us met before?”
Bo Suihan was standing in the corner with a studded leather whip in hand, watching the two of them trade lines back and forth with a sinister look.
He had been waiting to see whether Wu Xiaojiu would call a cop for the boy. He hadn’t expected the silly kid to suddenly throw out something completely irrelevant.
The main problem was that Wu Xiaojiu didn’t dare ask too deeply. Bo Suihan was supposed to be a Long Aotian, so why was he tying people up in a little hotel and whipping them with a leather whip? Wu Xiaojiu couldn’t bring himself to say that out loud.
And the question the boy had handed him was another fatal one.
Wu Xiaojiu thought it over and over, and in the end, that was all he could ask.
To be fair, the boy also thought Wu Xiaojiu looked familiar when he heard it.
He looked left, then right, and sucked in a breath.
Bo Suihan watched the boy’s gaze grow more and more brazen, and the resentment in his chest swelled higher and higher.
He tossed the little leather whip aside, walked over, and forced himself onto the same padded stool as Wu Xiaojiu.
Then he lifted his eyes and glared viciously at the boy. After a long moment, he let out a soft laugh.
“Don’t get any ideas. You’ve already been sold to me. For the rest of your life, you’re staying here to atone for your father.”
The boy licked the bloody corner of his mouth. It wasn’t because he was craving anything, but because the corner of his mouth had been numb for too long, and the split skin itching outward was unbearable.
His eyes slanted downward, though he did not lower his head. After a long while, he forced a low sound out of his throat.
“You should know you deserve this. Everything you enjoyed over in Europe-power, wealth, your parents’ company-should have belonged to me. Call me a freak if you want. You’re the product of a freak anyway. Even biologically, you’re nothing good.”
Bo Suihan stared at him and spoke each word deliberately, every syllable thick with emotion.
It was the first time Wu Xiaojiu had ever seen him this furious.
He was so scared he shrank backward, but Bo Suihan seemed to have expected his timidity. Before Wu Xiaojiu could even move, Bo Suihan’s hand had already reached his spine, patting his back again and again to soothe him.
By now, the boy could not be bothered to keep pretending. He gritted his teeth, nodded, and spat a mouthful of bloody foam onto the floor. “I was wondering. My dad’s the top dog over there-what little bastard would dare grab me? Didn’t expect you to hate our family this much.”
As if realizing his attitude was a little too casual and afraid of provoking Bo Suihan again, the boy adjusted his sitting posture and said cautiously, “I’m usually pretty loose with everything. I don’t watch my mouth, and I sit all crooked too. It’s not that I don’t respect your story. Go on, tell it. As long as you’ve got even a little bit of a point, let me go and I’ll help you drag my dad in here.”
Wu Xiaojiu looked just as bewildered as he did. He pointed at the boy, then at Bo Suihan, his expression carrying the same clear, empty confusion as the boy’s.
“No, this kid is way too dumb. After talking this far, even I know who ruined your family, and his brain still hasn’t made the turn.”
Bo Suihan was too lazy to argue with him. He knew this boy’s personality was about the same as Wu Xiaojiu’s-if you took someone like that seriously, you would only anger yourself to death. So he copied Wu Xiaojiu and pointed at the boy.
“You never told me. You just put my file in front of me, let me skim through it, and then tied me up. What, am I supposed to guess my dad was the one who destroyed your family?”
That, at least, hit the point.
Wu Xiaojiu nodded for Bo Suihan.
The boy’s mouth drooped at once. Because the movement tugged at the wound at the corner of his lips, even more blood flowed out.
He hissed in pain, then covered his mouth and said in disbelief, “No way. My dad’s one-sixty in height and one-sixty in weight. Even moving around is hard for him. Killing people? Killing an entire family? How is that possible?”
