The Village Chief noticed the commotion as well. When he turned and saw who it was, his grip tightened around his silver thermos. He silently closed his eyes for a moment, then barked, “What are you doing here? Is this not chaotic enough for you?”
The young man was not frightened by those few words in the slightest. Instead, he hooked his hands into the pockets of his pants, which had sagged all the way to the backs of his knees, and tilted his nostrils toward the sky.
“Don’t try to clash head-on with me. What I lose is face.” The young man patted both sides of his own cheeks. “What you lose is your life. Dad, I’m here to settle this for you. So these few people are making things hard for you, huh? Fine. I’ll remember them. Once I call up my hundred thousand brothers, they’ll see what happens.”
As he spoke, he took out his phone, about to summon reinforcements.
Hearing what he called the Village Chief, Wu Xiaojiu exchanged a glance with Wang Qiang, then deliberately raised his voice in confusion.
