Bo Suihan tilted his head slightly and shook it. “Maybe someone else’s scent rubbed off on me.”
[Exactly. Gardenia, if I remember correctly, was the favorite perfume scent of the Dancing Magic Fairy in the original novel. Gentle and nonaggressive, sweet and cloying when you smell it. Very memorable.]
The System spoke up inside his head. Wu Xiaojiu frowned, not understanding.
[But didn’t he not go to the blind date?]

“Why not?”
As he spoke, the chainsaw roared to life. The burly man’s entire face contorted, his features stretched wide with excitement as he charged straight at them.
He was too fast, and too terrifying. Wu Xiaojiu’s whole body went rigid, and for a moment, he couldn’t react at all.
Fortunately, Bo Suihan was standing in front of him. He grabbed Wu Xiaojiu’s hand, twisted aside, and pulled, dragging him back to his side.
“Don’t be afraid. I’m here.”
After softly reassuring him, Bo Suihan knew they couldn’t just sit there and wait to die. He could get out unscathed, but in a drawn-out fight, Wu Xiaojiu would be caught in the crossfire.
He had to take the initiative!
The thought flashed through his mind, and he acted without the slightest hesitation.

The burly man spat at her and started cursing nonstop.
