Chapter 92

Catching sight of the little girl’s gloating expression, Shen Yanchen let out a helpless laugh and said to Fang Rong, “Aunt Fang, you can just call me Xiao Shen from now on. I’m only seven years older than Sheng’er.”

Hearing this, Fang Rong did not think too much of it. She simply assumed young people did not like being addressed in a way that made them sound old, so she agreed.

She had originally wanted to invite Shen Yanchen to stay for dinner, but Shen Yanchen had already promised Old Master Shen that he would return to the old residence for dinner today, so he politely declined.

Since Shen Yanchen would not agree, Fang Rong did not insist. She simply called Xia Sheng along and headed upstairs.

The mother and daughter had just reached the second floor when Xia Sheng’s phone chimed.

She took it out and glanced at it. It was a message from Shen Yanchen, asking her to bring him a few samples of the medicine so he could help promote it when he got back.

Xia Sheng had originally planned to give them to him another day, but Shen Yanchen insisted that she bring them down now.

Xia Sheng did not understand why he was being so insistent, but she still agreed and turned to head back down.

Fang Rong asked her, “Where are you going?”

Xia Sheng replied, “To give Uncle Nine some virility medicine.”

Fang Rong: “?”

Xiao Shen looked so strong and healthy. He actually had problems in that department???

When Xia Sheng went downstairs, she saw that Shen Yanchen’s car was still parked by the roadside.

The man was dressed in a suit, his figure tall and straight like a pine. His features were cold, refined, and noble as he stood quietly beside the car, waiting for her.

She walked straight over, handed him the medicine, and casually asked, “I could’ve given you this another day. Why did it have to be now?”

“You didn’t give me a goodbye kiss.” As he spoke, he bent down and gently kissed the little girl on the lips.

Ever since he had seen the little girl blushing at the golf course today, his heart had been itching.

He had thought that if she were kissed out of the blue, she would be shy, just like she had been at the golf course. Instead, she blinked up at him with her big eyes and asked, “That’s it?”

Shen Yanchen: “…”

Was this little girl actually complaining that he had not gone deep enough?

He was just about to say something when the little girl before him suddenly stood on tiptoe, tilted her head back, and kissed him.

It was just that the height difference between them was a little too great. Even on tiptoe, Xia Sheng only barely managed to kiss Shen Yanchen’s jaw.

Seeing this, the little girl grew somewhat dissatisfied. She grabbed Shen Yanchen by the tie and tugged him down. “Cooperate a little.”

With that, she took the man’s lips in a domineering, forceful kiss.

Feeling the soft touch against his lips, Shen Yanchen’s pupils contracted slightly, and his heart gave a violent thud.

But very soon, that flutter in his chest turned into faint amusement because of the little girl’s clumsy kissing skills.

Xia Sheng’s kiss remained entirely on the surface, nothing more than simple skin-to-skin contact.

Shen Yanchen patiently waited for her to explore the next step. After waiting for quite a while with no progress, he could only feel helpless at how uninitiated she was. He raised a hand to cradle the back of her head, turned from passive to active, pried open the little girl’s lips and teeth, hooked her soft tongue with his, and tangled with her in a slow, grinding kiss.

Xia Sheng felt the tip of her tongue go slightly numb and tingly, while her body inexplicably softened. Gradually, her strength seemed to drain away.

If Shen Yanchen had not had one hand around her waist, she probably would not have been able to stand steady at all.

The kiss ended.

Xia Sheng leaned against Shen Yanchen’s chest, panting softly, a layer of mist veiling her eyes.

Shen Yanchen lowered his eyes to look at the little girl in his arms. His gaze fell on her glistening lips, and his throat bobbed slightly. He helped smooth out her somewhat messy hair, reluctant to part from her, but still said gently, “Go back. I’ll see you another day.”

Xia Sheng nodded, her expression already returning to its usual cool, indifferent look.

Seeing the little girl’s detached and distant expression, Shen Yanchen felt a little uncomfortable.

It seemed as though Xia Sheng had never once shown any reluctance to part with him.
What a heartless little ingrate.

Shen Yanchen couldn’t help himself. He lowered his head and bit the girl’s lip again.

It hurt a little, and Xia Sheng couldn’t help frowning. “What are you doing?”

Shen Yanchen sighed helplessly. “You really are a block of wood.”

Xia Sheng: “?”

How could this man bite her and then insult her?

A little displeased, she rose onto her tiptoes and bit him on the chin in return, a small act of revenge.

But after being bitten by her, Shen Yanchen didn’t look the least bit angry. Instead, he couldn’t help laughing. “Little blockhead, go on back.”

Xia Sheng was still frowning, but she didn’t bother arguing with Shen Yanchen. She turned and went upstairs.

Shen Yanchen watched her retreating figure and let out a long, leisurely sigh.

He had thought Xia Sheng must like him at least a little. Otherwise, she wouldn’t have taken the initiative to kiss him.

But the girl’s occasional innocent, slow-witted reactions made him feel as if he were performing a one-man show, and that in truth, she didn’t like him at all.

It seemed he still had a long way to go before he could get the girl to fully open her heart and accept him.

…

When Xia Sheng got home, Fang Rong glanced at her and suddenly paused.

Was it her imagination?

Why did it feel like her daughter had only gone out for a while, yet came back with lips so red they looked like they’d been gnawed by a dog?

After dinner, Xia Sheng took out the medicinal ingredients she had prepared in advance and began making medicine.

She worked until one in the morning before finally preparing the full amount Jiang Shaobai needed.

She went into the bathroom to wash up, and when she lay back down in bed, the kiss from that evening surfaced uncontrollably in her mind.

She enjoyed the feeling of being close to Shen Yanchen. However, even she couldn’t quite tell whether what she liked was the sensation of Shen Yanchen’s Baleful Qi rapidly flowing into her body during intimate contact, or whether she truly liked Shen Yanchen himself.

She pondered it for a long time but still couldn’t come up with an answer. In the end, she simply stopped thinking about it, closed her eyes, and went to sleep.

Early the next morning, Xia Sheng called a local courier and sent the medicine to Jiang Shaobai. Then she picked up her textbooks and went to school.

Her class that morning was a public elective. The students seated in the lecture hall were basically from different majors and classes.

Xia Sheng and Ning Xi had both signed up for the course. They ran into each other at the classroom door and walked in together.

Not long after they found seats by the window and sat down, a young man and woman walked in through the door.

The girl clung tightly to the boy’s arm, practically pressing her whole body against him. Her makeup was extremely heavy, and whenever she said something that made her happy, she would ignore the fact that they were in public and throw her arms around the boy to kiss him.

The moment Ning Xi saw Qiao Xueman, her face filled with disgust. “Why did we have to run into this plague again?”

The two of them had only had an unpleasant run-in at the buffet restaurant the day before yesterday. Now that they had met again, Ning Xi felt thoroughly repulsed.

By now, there were almost no seats left in the classroom. Only the two seats beside her and Xia Sheng were still empty.

Qiao Xueman and Sun Yang headed straight over.

Qiao Xueman also noticed Ning Xi. The brilliant smile on her face vanished instantly, leaving only undisguised loathing.

She walked straight up to Ning Xi and said arrogantly, “Ugly freak, get up. Give these seats to me and Sun Yang!”

Ning Xi was so angry at Qiao Xueman’s self-righteous attitude that she laughed. “Why should I give up my seat? Besides, aren’t there two empty seats right here? Just sit down.”

“Sitting so close to you might give me something! Get out of my way!” Qiao Xueman’s attitude was practically unreasonable to the extreme.

Ning Xi couldn’t be bothered with her and turned to talk to Xia Sheng instead.
