Chapter 49

As one of the most famous young female entrepreneurs, Bai Sha frequently appeared in the financial sections of major newspapers.

Combined with the fact that her surname was Bai and she had some familial ties to the Shen Family’s Ninth Master, the manager recognized her identity at a glance.

Since she had stated she would take full responsibility, the manager didn’t press further. He could only organize his staff to usher the other guests out first.

Wang Songjiang hadn’t expected Xia Sheng to be so strong. He lay on the floor wailing for quite a while before he finally recovered enough to curse, “Bai Sha, you found someone to hit me? This is domestic violence!

“You treat me like this and still expect me to leave the marriage with nothing? Not a chance!

“As long as I don’t sign, let’s see what you can do to me!”

Wang Songjiang’s temper was flaring now, and he was ready to smash the pot since it was already cracked.

Xia Sheng glanced at him as if he were a clown and said to Bai Sha, “Did you already contact a lawyer this afternoon to prepare the divorce settlement? Have them bring it over; I’ll make him sign it on the spot.”

Xia Sheng had explained a lot to Bai Sha while checking the feng shui earlier that afternoon. At that time, Bai Sha had already come to believe that Wang Songjiang intended to murder her for her wealth.

This was because Wang Songjiang had chosen the house she moved into, and he had personally handled the home’s layout and furniture selection.

Aside from him, no one else had the power to make those decisions.

Bai Sha had always been decisive. Once she confirmed this, she immediately called her lawyer and told them to prepare the divorce settlement in advance.

She had made the call to her lawyer alone in the garden behind the villa. She hadn’t told anyone about this yet, so she hadn’t expected the Little Celestial Master to already know.

Bai Sha nodded in agreement and immediately took out her phone to call the lawyer, telling them to deliver the documents.

Wang Songjiang lay paralyzed on the floor, clutching his stomach. Trying to save face, he sneered, “You’re going to make me sign? There are cameras in this restaurant. If you force me to sign, it won’t have any legal effect!”

After saying that, he looked at Bai Sha again and threatened, “I’ll say just one thing. If you want a divorce, fine, but hand over half the family assets. Otherwise, I’ll never let you go as long as I live!”

Bai Sha ignored him.

The Little Celestial Master had said she would help resolve it, so Bai Sha naturally believed Xia Sheng could handle the matter and wasn’t worried at all.

Seeing her indifference, Wang Songjiang felt like he was being treated as a joke. He opened his mouth to say more.

Xia Sheng found him too noisy and flicked a piece of Talisman Paper directly at him.

In the next second, Wang Songjiang could no longer open his mouth.

His eyes widened in terror as he discovered that not only could he not open his mouth, but he couldn’t even move his body.

This woman knew sorcery!

In that case, she might actually have the ability to manipulate him into signing the divorce settlement!

Wang Songjiang panicked. However, he couldn’t move an inch. No matter how anxious he was, he could only keep it bottled up.

Once Wang Songjiang shut up, the whole world seemed to go quiet.

The woman standing to the side, whose relationship with Wang Songjiang was unclear, looked at Xia Sheng several times, appearing hesitant to speak.

Xia Sheng met her gaze and said with a voice as calm as a deep well, “I told you last time that he didn’t really love you. He was only with you to trick you into being a surrogate to bear his child. Do you believe me now?”

This woman was someone Xia Sheng had read for back when she was running her street stall.

She had been accepted into graduate school this year and was currently still a student.

But because her boyfriend was anxious to have a child, she had been hesitating at the time whether to take a leave of absence to marry him and have children first.

The woman had just watched the entire process of Wang Songjiang being taught a lesson, and thus she realized that Wang Songjiang had only been dating her so she would give birth for him for free.

When Wang Songjiang was pursuing her, he had claimed he was single. She had no idea that he was a married man.
Caught in the act today as the ‘other woman’ by the legal wife, she was now consumed by shame and remorse, wishing she could simply vanish into thin air.

She lowered her head, her face flushing a deep crimson from embarrassment. Addressing Xia Sheng, she said, “Little Immortal, after you read my fortune last time, I thought things through. I decided to focus on my studies first, so I haven’t actually had a physical relationship with Wang Songjiang.”

During their last encounter, Xia Sheng had advised her to break up with Wang Songjiang. She had returned home and spent a long time considering it, eventually telling Wang Songjiang that she didn’t plan on having children for the time being.

Wang Songjiang had agreed readily at the time. She had been quite moved, believing it was proof of his love for her.

Looking back now, the only reason Wang Songjiang hadn’t broken up with her was likely because he was planning other ways to trick her into relenting.

After all, it wasn’t easy to find another woman as foolish and gullible as she was.

At that thought, her eyes suddenly stung, but she forced herself to blink back the tears.

She looked at Bai Sha, bit her lip in shame, and plucked up the courage to speak. “Ma’am, when he was pursuing me, he told me he was single. I didn’t know Wang Songjiang was married, which is why I agreed to date him.

“I am truly sorry for causing you so much trouble. If you want to hit me or curse at me, I won’t complain.”

Even though she had been deceived into the relationship, objectively speaking, she had indeed hurt Bai Sha.

It was only natural for Bai Sha to want to punish her.

Bai Sha, who had just finished her phone call with her lawyer, glanced at the woman and spoke in a calm tone.

“I’m not someone who can’t distinguish right from wrong. You’re a victim in this too, so I don’t intend to hold anything against you.

“There’s no point in getting physical with another woman over a man. If I’m going to ruin someone, I’ll start with the man.”

The woman was momentarily stunned, feeling a sense of heartfelt admiration for Bai Sha.

To be so decisive and to clearly distinguish between who to blame and who to spare-such character was truly rare.

Bai Sha continued, “You should go. Keep your eyes peeled when looking at men in the future; don’t let another scumbag deceive you.”

She said this to the woman, but she was also saying it to herself.

The woman nodded. Before leaving, she couldn’t resist delivering a few hard kicks to Wang Songjiang’s body before finally making her exit.

Not long after, the lawyer arrived with the divorce settlement.

Bai Sha took the documents, placed them on a nearby table, and then looked at Xia Sheng.

“Little Celestial Master, what do we do next?”

Xia Sheng didn’t answer immediately. She looked toward Wang Songjiang and gave a slight flick of her finger. Wang Songjiang scrambled up from the floor and walked uncontrollably to the table to sit down.

He picked up the divorce settlement and began to read it meticulously. From the perspective of the surveillance cameras or any bystander, it looked exactly as if he had agreed to the divorce and was carefully reviewing the agreement.

Only Wang Songjiang knew that his body was currently not under his control at all. It was a struggle even to utter a single word through his own will!

Wang Songjiang was so livid he felt like he might faint. He wished he could tear this Sorceress whom Bai Sha had brought along into a thousand pieces.

However, no matter how much he hated her, he could only watch helplessly as his hand took the pen against his will and signed the divorce settlement.

To be safe, Xia Sheng also had Bai Sha record a video of Wang Songjiang admitting that he was voluntarily leaving the marriage with nothing. This way, even if Wang Songjiang tried to contest the divorce later by claiming he was coerced, the court wouldn’t necessarily accept his appeal.

Once everything was finished, Xia Sheng asked Bai Sha, “Do you need me to make Wang Songjiang go to the Civil Affairs Bureau tomorrow to finalize the divorce?”
