Chapter 69

Shen Shen chuckled and said, “I just suddenly felt like being a little nicer to you and Mr. Shen.”

Xia Sheng vaguely sensed that something was off, but she wasn’t the type to dig until she got to the bottom of things, so she didn’t press him. Instead, she picked up her spoon and took a sip of soup.

Seeing Xia Sheng drink the soup, Shen Shen’s eyes sparkled. Then he turned to look at Shen Yanchen.

Shen Yanchen had originally planned to take a sip of soup first as well, but when he noticed the obvious look of anticipation in Shen Shen’s little eyes, he found it suspicious and didn’t touch the bowl.

Shen Shen wanted to urge Shen Yanchen to drink the soup, but he was worried that acting too obvious would make people suspicious. So he pretended to stay calm, hopped onto a chair, sat down, and ate his meal slowly.

In the end, the meal was almost over, and Shen Yanchen still hadn’t touched the bowl of soup Shen Shen had brought him.

Shen Shen grew a little anxious. He jumped down from the chair, walked over to Shen Yanchen’s ear, and whispered, “Mr. Shen, this soup will help the relationship between you and the Little Celestial Master. Hurry and drink a few mouthfuls.”

Shen Yanchen frowned. “Help how?”

Before Shen Shen could answer, Xia Sheng, who was sitting beside Shen Yanchen, suddenly reached over and wrapped her arms around his lean, firm waist.

Shen Yanchen’s body stiffened slightly. Just as he was about to ask Xia Sheng what was wrong, the young woman tilted her head and bit his Adam’s apple.

After biting him, she even stuck out her little tongue and lightly licked it.

Shen Yanchen’s breath caught. He forcefully suppressed the flicker of restlessness in his heart, while also realizing that Xia Sheng’s current state was very wrong.

He held down Xia Sheng’s small hands as she tried to tug open his clothes, then turned to look at Shen Shen. A layer of frost seemed to gather between his brows. “What did you put in the soup?”

Seeing that he was angry, Shen Shen said weakly, “I-I only added a little bit of my flower.”

Shen Yanchen knew that the little fellow’s ginseng whiskers could serve as an aphrodisiac. What effect his flower had went without saying.

“Who told you to give her something like that?” he asked in a low voice. His ink-black eyes carried threads of coldness, and his presence was invisible yet powerful.

Shen Shen instinctively felt afraid. He shrank his neck and said, “I-I was doing it for your own good.”

“She’s only eighteen this year. You call this doing it for her own good?”

Shen Shen muttered softly, “What’s wrong with eighteen? Besides, before this, I don’t know who it was that had a reaction to our Little Celestial Master…”

Shen Yanchen’s gaze darkened even further. Before he could reprimand Shen Shen, the young woman in his arms had already broken free of his restraint, hooked her arms around his neck, tilted her head up, and kissed him.

Their lips pressed together. Shen Yanchen caught the faint scent of her body. It was just like her-cool and clean, yet carrying a scorching heat that lingered at the tip of his nose.

He raised his hand and pushed her away. “Don’t move. I’m taking you to the hospital.”

The young woman refused to comply. She clung to him again, reaching out to pull at his clothes.

Shen Yanchen wouldn’t let her. Anxious, she could only whimper. It felt as if insects were crawling inside her body, making her unbearably uncomfortable, and a sob crept into her voice. “Uncle Nine, I feel awful…”

Listening to Xia Sheng’s tearful plea, Shen Yanchen’s mind uncontrollably flashed with an image of himself pinning the young woman to the bed and bullying her until she cried. His lower abdomen tightened slightly.

He did his utmost to suppress the restlessness in his heart, forcibly held Xia Sheng down, and scooped her up in his arms. With steady steps, he headed outside, intending to take Xia Sheng to the hospital.

Shen Shen reminded him in a small voice, “Mr. Shen, there’s no antidote for my flower. It can only be…”

He didn’t finish the rest, but Shen Yanchen already understood what he meant.

Shen Yanchen looked back at Shen Shen, his face frosty and his voice cold and hard. “I’ll settle accounts with you later.”
Shen Shen’s little heart gave a violent tremble. At last, he realized he might have turned good intentions into a disaster, and began wondering if he should sneak away with a tiny bundle while the two of them were busy with Dual Cultivation.

But the Little Celestial Master had placed a Restriction on him. No matter where he ran, she could drag him right back.

It looked like there was no escaping this beating.

QAQ.

Shen Shen tried to salvage the situation. “M-Mr. Shen, I can go buy condoms for you.”

Carrying the young woman upstairs, Shen Yanchen said coldly, “Not necessary.”

Shen Shen wanted to remind him that the Little Celestial Master was still in school, and it would be bad if she got pregnant.

But faced with the cold, oppressive aura surrounding Shen Yanchen, Shen Shen wisely kept his mouth shut in the end.

Shen Yanchen carried Xia Sheng upstairs. Along the way, the girl would kiss his cheek one moment, then nibble his ear the next, and every so often she would rub against him in his arms, setting every inch of him on fire.

Shen Yanchen suppressed himself with all his might and carried her to the bed in the bedroom.

The moment he set her down, Xia Sheng hooked her arms around his neck and pulled him onto the bed. Then she flipped over, pinned him beneath her, and impatiently reached for his belt.

Shen Yanchen’s Adam’s apple bobbed. He caught her hand and said hoarsely, “Use my hand. Not that.”

But Xia Sheng’s mind was a complete haze right now. She couldn’t take in a single word he said, and continued tugging urgently at his clothes.

“Be good.” Holding back the restlessness surging through his body, Shen Yanchen sat up on the bed, settled the young woman on his lap, and held her in his arms. He kissed her forehead soothingly.

“Forgive my impropriety.”

Only after saying that did he reach out and undo Xia Sheng’s clothes.

…

By the time everything was over, dusk had fallen outside.

The afterglow of the setting sun filtered through the white gauze curtains before the floor-to-ceiling windows, spilling into the room in soft, ambiguous light and shadow.

Shen Yanchen carried the sweat-damp young woman into the bathroom and washed her clean. After rinsing his own mouth, he brought her back to the bed.

After Xia Sheng was laid on the bed, even in her sleep, she sensed the abundant Baleful Qi around Shen Yanchen and almost instinctively moved closer to him. She clung to him and refused to let go.

Helpless, Shen Yanchen could only unbutton his shirt and lie down with her, gently drawing her into his arms.

As she absorbed the abundant Baleful Qi from him, Xia Sheng’s brow relaxed in satisfaction, and she rested quietly against his chest.

Looking at the young woman’s peaceful sleeping face, Shen Yanchen felt something indescribably strange in his heart.

He had to admit that what he felt for Xia Sheng seemed to be more than an elder’s pity for a junior.

He desired her.

Thinking back to the alluring way she had sat in his arms earlier, and the soft sensation of her body against his, Shen Yanchen’s breath hitched. He restrained himself for a while, but in the end, he still couldn’t hold back. He got up and went into the bathroom.

The rush of running water went on for nearly forty minutes.

When Xia Sheng woke, all she saw was the gorgeous crystal chandelier above her. Beside her ear was the sound of water pattering.

Listening more carefully, she could faintly hear a man’s low, sensual panting.

At that tiny sound, Xia Sheng, who had still been a little dazed from sleep, instantly snapped wide awake. The scenes from an hour ago flooded into her mind, one after another.

Remembering the slightly cool temperature of the man’s fingertips, even someone as cool and wooden as Xia Sheng couldn’t help blushing. She couldn’t believe that while she had been out of her senses, she had actually clung to Shen Yanchen and done something like that with him.

How was she supposed to face Shen Yanchen from now on?
