Old Master Zhou summoned the hotel manager and had him open the room door.

Yu He had no excuse to stop him. All she could do was watch helplessly as the door opened before her eyes.

The room was pitch-black. The only sounds were the tangled, breathless gasps of a man and a woman.

Old Master Zhou strode in with an ugly expression and switched on the lights. Sure enough, he saw his own grandson-and Xia Zhiruo.

The sudden glare startled Zhou Yichuan. He turned and saw his parents and grandfather standing by the door, and froze in terror.

The drug in Xia Zhiruo’s system had not worn off yet. She could not care about anything else and was still clinging to him.

Mr. Zhou covered his wife’s eyes and pulled her out of the room.

Old Master Zhou’s face was dark and stern as he roared, “You filthy bastard! Get out here!”

At the sound of Old Master Zhou’s furious voice, Zhou Yichuan jumped in fright. He hurriedly scrambled off the bed, picked up his pants from the floor, put them on, and ran out.

The moment he stepped through the door, Old Master Zhou struck the back of his knee with his cane.

Zhou Yichuan’s body tilted, and he dropped straight to his knees.

Still not satisfied, Old Master Zhou brought the cane down hard on Zhou Yichuan’s back several more times.

“How did my Zhou Family raise a shameless thing like you?! To do something like this at my birthday banquet-are you trying to anger me to death?!”

Zhou Yichuan had realized the person who entered the room was not Xia Sheng the moment Xia Zhiruo came in.

The farce finally ended when the people called over by the Zhou Family dragged Zhou Yichuan and Yu He apart.

Yu He now had to take her daughter to find an antidote, while the Zhou Family had to take Zhou Yichuan to get his ruined face treated. For the time being, both sides called a truce.

But whether the two families would turn against each other and seek revenge after this incident was anyone’s guess.

Xia Sheng and Shen Ze stood invisible at the end of the corridor. Shen Ze held up his phone, recording the scene before them and clicking his tongue again and again.
