Chapter 68
Chapter 68
Huang Yuanrui had never had any conflict with Teacher Xu. Aside from her less-than-stellar grades, she had never given her teachers anything to worry about, so Huang Yuanrui felt Teacher Xu had no reason to bear her any ill will.
It was only after graduation that Huang Yuanrui found out that the English teacher, Teacher Xu, was actually the class monitor’s own aunt.
Huang Yuanrui had been at odds with the class monitor, so as the class monitor’s aunt, Teacher Xu must have known all about it.
The fact that Teacher Xu said nothing and did nothing didn’t mean she had no malice toward Huang Yuanrui at all.
That was why Huang Yuanrui believed the malice in dreams always had a source in reality, whether you knew what that source was or not.
There was no such thing as a nightmare for no reason.
If you had a nightmare, and someone who was very kind to you in real life hurt you in that dream, then you needed to be careful.
She began to think about why she would have a nightmare in which He Qian frightened her.
Following that logic, the reason had to be: He Qian harbored malice toward her.
Could He Qian already know she existed?
Huang Yuanrui thought that was basically impossible.
All along, according to Qin Song’s descriptions, He Qian’s attitude toward him had been consistent from beginning to end. The two of them had not even had any arguments.
Huang Yuanrui did not believe a woman could find out her husband had a mistress outside and still pretend nothing had happened. That would be too inhuman.
Besides, she and Qin Song had been in a long-distance relationship before. Every time Qin Song met her in secret, he used business trips as an excuse. As someone who barely ever left the house, He Qian should have had a very hard time discovering her existence.
Huang Yuanrui felt both thirsty and hungry. She didn’t want to keep dwelling on these nightmare-related questions anymore. It was too mentally exhausting.
She washed some strawberries, put them in the blender with yogurt, and made herself a large strawberry milkshake.
After drinking it, she felt much better, so she sat down in front of her vanity and began putting on makeup.
She did a heavy, icy, Cleopatra-like look.
She was going to find He Qian.
At three in the afternoon, Huang Yuanrui arrived at the door of Qin Song’s home.
Before she raised her hand to ring the doorbell, she hesitated.
She thought again of the dream she had during her nap.
She shook her head, gave herself a little encouragement, and pressed the doorbell.
Very soon, the door opened. He Qian stood in the doorway.
Huang Yuanrui studied her face carefully-her face was not as pale as it had been in the dream. It was just a normal complexion, and her lips had color too.
Huang Yuanrui said nothing, waiting for He Qian to speak first.
He Qian looked at Huang Yuanrui for two seconds and asked, “…Hello?”
Oh. She could speak normally, and her voice was not as hoarse and rough as it had been in the dream.
Huang Yuanrui breathed a sigh of relief. “I’m here to see you. Let’s go inside and talk.”
He Qian nodded. “Come in.”
After entering, Huang Yuanrui first took a look around the living room. There was no metal-framed bed, no large air conditioner blasting cold air. It was simply what a normal home should look like.
Only then did she sit down on the sofa at ease.
He Qian poured two cups of warm water and handed one to Huang Yuanrui.
Huang Yuanrui got straight to the point. “I’m Qin Song’s girlfriend. I want to marry Qin Song now.”
He Qian froze for a moment, then tucked the stray hair on her forehead behind her ear. “What did you say?”
Huang Yuanrui said, “I. Am. Qin Song’s mistress. We’ve been together for two or three years. Would you like to start considering divorcing him now?”
He Qian’s body trembled faintly. “Did Qin Song tell you to come to me directly?”
