Huang Yuanrui tilted her head and sized them up. “You two? Picking up a child?”

“Ma Dong-seok” said, “Yes, ma’am.”

Huang Yuanrui asked, “Your child? Or his?”

“Ma Dong-seok” smiled. “Our boss’s child.”

Huang Yuanrui said, “If you’re here to pick up a child, why didn’t you use the school’s main gate? Why climb in through the side gate?”

“Ma Dong-seok” tilted his head. “Ma’am, it seems you also came in through the side gate to pick up a child.”

Huang Yuanrui felt a wave of embarrassment. Her eyes shifted as she asked, “Which class is your boss’s child in?”

“Ma Dong-seok” smiled and said, “That is our boss’s private business, ma’am.”

Huang Yuanrui thought it over. After entering through the side gate, this really was the only direction they could walk in. They had just happened to be behind her. Strictly speaking, that did not necessarily mean they were following her.

If she had been walking behind them, would that mean she was following them? Maybe she was just being oversensitive.

Still, having two men walking behind her the whole time made her uncomfortable.

She changed directions and headed toward the school restroom, planning to shake them off first.

To her surprise, the moment she changed directions, the two men changed directions too, still following behind her at an unhurried pace!

Huang Yuanrui grew nervous. She turned back to look at them. “Aren’t you here to pick up a child? I’m not picking anyone up now. I’m going to the bathroom! Why are you still following me?”

“Ma Dong-seok” smiled and said, “You misunderstand, ma’am. We are also going to the bathroom.”

Now Huang Yuanrui was starting to feel both embarrassed and angry.

“When I pick up a child, you’re picking up a child too. When I go to the bathroom, you’re going to the bathroom too? Are you copycats or what?”

“Ma Dong-seok” gave an apologetic smile. “All I can say is, it’s a coincidence.”

Huang Yuanrui said, “Then you go to the bathroom. I’m not going anymore. I’m going to pick up the child after all.”

With that, she changed directions again and headed back toward the classroom building.

Sure enough, the two men changed directions with her as well and kept following behind her.

Huang Yuanrui snapped, “What exactly are you trying to do?”

“Ma Dong-seok” kept smiling. “Pick up a child.”

Huang Yuanrui felt like he was a robot, impossible to communicate with normally. Talking to him was like being stuck in a loop: nothing but constant repetition, without a single useful thing said.

She simply pretended the two men did not exist and walked straight toward the classroom building, focused only on her goal.

Because those two men had delayed her for a while, by the time she reached the entrance of the classroom building, the lower-grade students had already begun filing out after school.

She was not sure whether Qiqi had already left the building, so she stood still and waited quietly.

She glanced back and found that the big man and the skinny man had stopped too, standing not far behind her.

Qiqi came out. Today, she was still wearing that purple bow in her hair.

Huang Yuanrui locked her eyes on that bow and followed. She had to catch Qiqi before the girl left the school gate and was picked up by her family.

But as she followed, two figures suddenly drifted into her line of sight, blocking her view completely.

Huang Yuanrui looked over suspiciously and discovered that the two men from earlier had somehow gotten ahead of her. Now they were blocking her so thoroughly that she could no longer see the purple bow at all.

Huang Yuanrui cursed under her breath and took two steps to the right, finally spotting the purple bow again.

The next second, her view was blocked again.

Those two men had moved to the right as well!

Huang Yuanrui was completely enraged. She rushed up and slammed a fist into “Ma Dong-seok’s” back. “Ma Dong-seok” turned around with a smile.
