Huang Yuanrui picked the nearest intersection at random, made a sharp turn, and drove onto a side road.

The car behind her didn’t continue straight either. It turned at the same intersection and followed her onto the road, staying right behind Huang Yuanrui.

It made no attempt to disguise itself, didn’t swerve away, and didn’t even slow down. It was as if it were openly telling Huang Yuanrui: That’s right. I’m following you.

Huang Yuanrui couldn’t take it anymore. She pulled over to the right side of the road, opened the door, and got out, glaring furiously at the car.

The car also put on its right turn signal and stopped at the roadside, but no one got out.

Huang Yuanrui took a closer look. Wasn’t this the same “Black Fish” that had caused her four-car pileup this morning?!

Huang Yuanrui strode over, twisted the gaudy oversized ring on her finger, and used it to rap hard against the window. Thump, thump, thump.

The window slowly rolled down, and Huang Yuanrui launched into a tirade at the person inside. “What the fuck is wrong with you? Are you insane? Do you have a death wish? You blocked me this morning and made me crash, and now you fucking show up again!”

Once the window was fully lowered, Huang Yuanrui finally saw who was sitting inside.

“Ma Dong-seok” sat in the driver’s seat and waved politely at Huang Yuanrui. “Hello, ma’am. We meet again. Is something the matter?”

Huang Yuanrui took a step back and stared at him strangely. “You again? Why are you following me?”

“Ma Dong-seok” said, “I am not following you, ma’am. I just happen to be taking this road as well.”

Great. Their conversation had fallen into that same dead-end loop again.

Huang Yuanrui gave a cold laugh. “And this morning? Why were you racing along on the elevated road this morning? Afraid I’d ram you to death?”

“Ma Dong-seok” thought about it carefully and said, “Oh, there was a car behind me going far too fast. I was worried there might be a collision, so I had no choice but to brace myself and keep driving forward… So that was your vehicle, ma’am.”

Huang Yuanrui laughed from sheer anger. “Who are you trying to fool? Why would I try to ram you if you hadn’t kept blocking me?”

“Ma Dong-seok” smiled and said, “My apologies, ma’am. I was focused only on the road ahead and did not notice you behind me.”

Huang Yuanrui realized that continuing to question him about this would only waste time, just like now.

So she changed her approach. “Stop going in circles. Tell me, why do you people keep pestering me? Did I offend you somehow?”

“Ma Dong-seok” smiled and said, “Ma’am, City A is not that large. We might run into anyone a second time. I believe this is a coincidence. What do you think?”

Huang Yuanrui suddenly asked, “Last time, you said you were picking up a child for your boss. Who is your boss?”

“Ma Dong-seok” smiled and closed his mouth. Huang Yuanrui bent lower, and she saw the thin man who had appeared with “Ma Dong-seok” last time sitting silently in the passenger seat.

Could this big guy be the bodyguard, and that skinny man his boss?

The rear door suddenly opened, and a middle-aged man wearing sunglasses stepped out.

He walked around from the right rear of the car to stand in front of Huang Yuanrui. She looked him up and down, then asked suspiciously, “You are…?”

He said nothing. Through the sunglasses, Huang Yuanrui could only vaguely see his flickering eyes.

Huang Yuanrui tried again. “Do I know you? Or… do you know me?”

The middle-aged man took off his sunglasses and put them in his pocket.

Once she saw his face clearly, Huang Yuanrui froze.

He spoke. “In a sense, you’ve known me for a long time. Later, I came to know you too.”
