“Hurry up, save her!” Jiang Li urged.

Doctor Hao’s expression was grim.

He clenched his fists, saying nothing.

Jiang Li was not anxious at all. “Doctor’s Rule One: When a patient is injured, you must provide aid immediately.”

At Jiang Li’s words, Doctor Hao’s face flushed bright red in an instant.

How did she know the doctor’s rules?

“Tsk tsk, if you keep waiting, you’ll be breaking the rules. What will you do then?”

Jiang Li wore a troubled expression, her tone slow and mocking.

Two seconds later.

Doctor Hao relaxed his fist and turned to instruct the stretcher team:

“Quick! Take Patient ID 526 to the Emergency Room! Now!!”

Jiang Li stared steadily at Doctor Hao, hands in her pockets.

Inside was a slip of paper.

It was the Doctor’s Rules.

Besides using Doctor’s Rule One, she had also used Doctor’s Rule Two:

[By any means necessary, imply that Patient ID 1037 suffers from a severe mental disorder.]

Doctor Hao’s method of implying this was to pretend he couldn’t see Jiang Li’s fellow patients, making Jiang Li doubt her own sanity!

But in reality, Jiang Li did not have delusional disorder at all.

From the very beginning, it was all an act orchestrated by Doctor Hao.

If Jiang Li hadn’t seen, in the Nighttime Snack Shop, the two Retractable Knives with Blood Sac labeled “Original Owner: Hao,” she would never have known that from the very first day she met Doctor Hao, he had started this performance.

From start to finish, the illusion that Jiang Li had delusions was a double act put on by Doctor Hao and the other patients!

Those two patients’ fake weapons-the Retractable Knives with Blood Sac-were still displayed in the Nighttime Snack Shop.

Seeing Doctor Hao follow the stretcher out of the ward, Jiang Li quickly chased after him.

“Doctor Hao, I’m the one who hit her. Tell me, am I really mentally ill or not?” Jiang Li pressed Doctor Hao.

If Doctor Hao said “yes,” then Jiang Li would be exempt from responsibility for hitting someone.

If a mentally ill person attacks someone during an episode, even the law can’t do anything, let alone a doctor.

If Doctor Hao said “no,” then Jiang Li would indirectly prove she was normal!

One of the most important conditions for S Rank clearance was-

To prove she was normal!

Doctor Hao furrowed his brow and replied, “Yes.”

Very good, Jiang Li was mentally ill, exempt from blame.

But Jiang Li wasn’t satisfied with just that.

She caught up, staring intently into Doctor Hao’s eyes, and asked another fatal question.

“Doctor Hao, you said only I could see them, so I must have delusions.

But the truth is, you saw them too, so they’re not my hallucinations. I don’t have delusional disorder! Yes or no!?”

Doctor Hao’s face was grave, lips pressed tightly together.

Jiang Li slammed her hand on the stretcher, her gaze sharp and forceful: “Answer me! Yes or no!?”

Doctor Hao was speechless.

The answer could only be “yes.”

Yes, Jiang Li did not have delusional disorder.

Because Doctor Hao had proven it with his actions.

By choosing to save Patient ID 526, he had indirectly admitted that “Jiang Li’s delusional disorder” was a lie!

Now, as long as Doctor Hao said “yes,” Jiang Li would have proven her own innocence!

So… he couldn’t speak.

He couldn’t let Jiang Li succeed.

He couldn’t say a single word!

The group reached the entrance of the Operating Room.

No matter how Jiang Li pressed him, Doctor Hao gritted his teeth and refused to answer.

In the end, Doctor Hao pushed the patient and hid inside the Operating Room.

The door to the Operating Room slammed shut, blocking Jiang Li outside.

Jiang Li recalled her first day at the Madhouse, the back of the Patient’s Rules slip, where a line of text had been scribbled over:

“Run! Don’t trust %#&@”

The part that was covered up was probably “Doctor Hao.”

This was a warning left to her by the previous Patient ID 1037!

It seemed the doctors at this Madhouse were bringing in normal people and step by step driving them insane.

All to achieve some hidden agenda of their own!

Jiang Li curled her lips into a brilliant smile.

This round… she had already won.

No matter. She had plenty of time to play this game slowly.
Jiang Li returned to Ward 409 and poked the Red Infant, who was tied to a chair, head drooped, feigning unconsciousness.

“Baby, stop pretending. That was quite the performance.”

The Red Infant immediately lifted his head, opened his eyes, and gave a silly grin.

At the same time, the iron chains binding him slipped off on their own.

All the burns on his skin vanished without a trace in an instant.

Jiang Li tossed two Hearts to the Red Infant.

“Does it hurt, baby?” Jiang Li asked, looking at him with concern.

The Red Infant shook his head nonchalantly. “Not at all. Didn’t feel a thing. My throat is just a bit dry from all that howling.”

He grabbed a Heart and stuffed it into his mouth, chewing with satisfaction.

The Red Infant was an Aberration.

With his overwhelming combat power, how could a madwoman possibly bully the Red Infant?

Wasn’t it all just to get a mouthful of Heart?

Jiang Li laughed at him: “I told you to provoke that Middle-aged Woman, and you really managed to make her furious.

That wretch actually went so far as to lay such a heavy hand on you.”

When she woke the Red Infant up in the morning, she had specially reminded him to pay attention to his own safety while acting.

Who knew the Red Infant would play so rough?

Tied up in iron chains, getting his Eyes burned by a curling iron-just looking at it was frightening.

Still, this little play they staged was quite a success.

Using this incident, Jiang Li forced Doctor Hao to admit that he could see Patient ID 526.

She also completed her own proof of “being a normal person.”

S-Class Clear Condition:

[Prove that you are a normal person and have Doctor Lin Yi take you out.]

This condition was already halfway fulfilled.

The next step was to find Doctor Lin Yi.

Jiang Li, taking the Red Infant along, left Ward 409.

They didn’t go to Room 402, but instead headed downstairs to another place.

The place between the 1st floor and Floor -1, which originally belonged to Floor 0.

But this time, it was not what Jiang Li had expected.

The Emergency Room was operating, but the Floor 0 shrouded in black miasma did not appear.

Jiang Li’s eyes flickered.

This meant that activating the Emergency Room was not the trigger for the appearance of Floor 0.

To open Floor 0, which concealed the massive Pollution Source, some other condition was needed…

Just then, Shopkeeper Shi’s words to Doctor Hao-“may your business prosper”-flashed through Jiang Li’s mind.

Business…

Could it be that, because no “transaction” was triggered this time, Floor 0 wasn’t opened?

Thinking of this, Jiang Li shifted her gaze to Floor -1 in front of her.

Outside Floor -1 was a bright red notice:

[This floor is a restricted area, patients must not enter!]

Jiang Li stared at these words.

There must be some secret here!

Jiang Li took a Surgical Gown out from her Space, disguised herself as a doctor who had just finished surgery, and brought the Red Infant in through the door.

Inside was a cramped room.

Beyond the door stood a luxurious metal gate.

The metal gate blocked all sight, completely concealing whatever was inside Floor -1.

Inside the small room before her, two Staff Members were standing guard.

They were both nurses.

Each held a Detector in her hand, standing by the entrance.

Seeing Jiang Li in a Surgical Gown, the nurses immediately recognized her as a “doctor.”

“Doctor, please step onto the platform in the center. We need to check if you are carrying any dangerous items.”

The nurse’s voice was gentle, nothing like the irritable tone used with psychiatric patients.

Jiang Li stepped up lightly onto the platform.

One nurse swept the Detector up and down over Jiang Li, just like a subway security check.

The Detector gave no alarm-everything was normal.

“All set.” The nurse smiled and informed her.

Then, she turned and opened a cardboard box, took out a mask, and handed it to Jiang Li.

“Wishing you a successful negotiation~”

After the security check nurse finished, the other nurse went to the metal gate and entered a code on the keypad.

With a “beep,” the code was accepted.

The luxurious metal gate slowly opened before Jiang Li’s eyes.

Inside… looked just like another world.
