Chapter 150
Chapter 150
After sending the message, Dai Chunli switched apps to the live broadcast interface.
She stared at Jiang Li on the screen, the smile at the corners of her mouth widening bit by bit.
Dai Chunli’s facial muscles twitched, her expression becoming increasingly like an Aberration.
She seemed to be trying to suppress the laughter in her throat, but an inexplicable ecstasy took control of her.
“Heh heh heh… Hahaha…” Dai Chunli’s shoulders shook violently.
“She’s about to die… everything will be mine, all mine!”
Dai Chunli’s laughter grew more and more manic, her entire body beginning to tremble like chaff.
At that moment, behind Dai Chunli’s neck, a pale and slender woman’s hand slowly crawled onto her shoulder.
A “Rich Lady Ghost” dressed in magnificent fur moved up slowly, revealing her head.
The ghost’s eyes were hollow, with faint traces of black mist drifting out.
There wasn’t a hint of color on that exquisite, V-shaped face.
The ghost curled its lips into a gentle smile, rubbing against Dai Chunli’s hair as it leaned in close.
The heavy gold chain around its neck and the top-tier luxury limited-edition watch on its wrist gradually pressed against Dai Chunli’s skin.
“Well done~”
The ghost pressed its face against the side of Dai Chunli’s ear, exhaling a breath of black mist.
It whispered softly, “As long as you kill her, all the money will be yours…”
“With money, your life ahead… will get better and better~”
The black mist spilling from the ghost’s mouth was like slender snakes or insects, nimbly burrowing into Dai Chunli’s ears and nasal cavity.
After inhaling the black mist, the laughter coming from Dai Chunli’s throat became even more chilling.
“Hehe, ahahaha… Kill her, better and better…”
Dai Chunli’s only normal right eye was gradually filled by the swirling black mist.
Her right eye socket also began to emit a faint black mist, just like the ghost behind her.
The ghost’s seductive voice continued to guide Dai Chunli in her ear.
“You can’t catch the wolf without sacrificing the child~”
“For money, you can give up everything…”
“Endless glory and wealth are coming soon…”
Dai Chunli echoed dully, “Become rich, give up everything… glory and wealth, coming soon…”
After saying this, Dai Chunli twisted her neck mechanically, shifting her gaze.
She stared blankly at Jiang Li in the Live Streaming Room on her phone screen.
The corners of Dai Chunli’s mouth curled up, a thick killing intent flickering in her eyes.
Then, a sinister laugh rang out, echoing throughout the entire room.
Inside the Live Streaming Room.
Jiang Li had already entered the 4th floor of the Clear Spring Hotel.
This time, the tool Jiang Li had selected from the bamboo basket was the “Special Attractant.”
On the live broadcast screen, a thin male student was standing on the thick wall at the edge of a trash pit, swinging his arms back and forth in a preparatory jumping stance.
The next second, he leaped forcefully into the trash pit, plunging in with a look of pleasant surprise.
Jiang Li sat casually on the edge of the wall, extending her fingers and gently shaking the “Special Attractant” in her hand.
The attractant fell onto the trash, causing the foul-smelling refuse to emit a seductive, haunting fragrance.
After finishing the attractant, Jiang Li threw the bottle and its cap directly into the trash heap.
Immediately after, she braced herself against the wall’s edge and flipped down.
Jiang Li patted the dust off her hands. “Let’s go, Yingying.”
Behind Jiang Li, Red Infant still had his small hands gripped onto the edge of the wall, watching the male student in the trash pit with great fascination.
Inside the trash heap, the male student grabbed handfuls of foul, filthy waste and stuffed them haphazardly into his mouth.
The male student cried even as he ate.
His mind was conscious, but his body’s movements were beyond his control.
“Wow, Mommy!” Red Infant’s eyes widened as he looked back at Jiang Li, his tone filled with shock.
“Is that stinky stuff really that tasty? That big brother was so happy he cried!”
“He’s so cool~”
Jiang Li lifted Red Infant down from the perimeter wall.
Jiang Li smiled, responding in a tone suited for a child, “Of course. Big brother said the stinky stuff is good for you. It’s the most nutritious thing you can have for breakfast.”
Red Infant looked amazed. “Then that big brother is actually a pretty good person. In the video from before, he even stuffed all that ‘nutritious breakfast’ into the chubby sister’s mouth. She was already full, but he kept telling her to eat more so she could grow big and strong.”
Jiang Li led Red Infant toward the teaching building.
Han Xueping, wearing her school uniform and looking quite plump, glanced at Jiang Li from a distance.
Behind Jiang Li, the somewhat thin Elevator Attendant also gazed deeply at the student-aged Han Xueping.
The young Han Xueping looked at Jiang Li with eyes full of gratitude.
But the Elevator Attendant looked at the young Han Xueping with eyes full of heartache.
Jiang Li didn’t pay them any mind. She intended to find a door to return to her original time and space.
Just then, the chubby girl, Han Xueping, seemed to remember something and ran quickly toward Jiang Li.
“Sister,” Han Xueping called out timidly.
Jiang Li turned her head to look at her.
Han Xueping trotted up and grabbed Jiang Li’s hand, casting a wary glance to her left and right. Seeing that none of her classmates were paying attention, she pulled Jiang Li toward a corner behind the teaching building.
“Sister.” Han Xueping unzipped her backpack and pulled out a brand-new umbrella.
“The umbrella you left with me last time… I’m so sorry, it was… ‘borrowed’ by a classmate.”
“I saved up my money to buy a new one. I’ve been carrying it with me, hoping that whenever I ran into you again, I could give it to you as a replacement.”
Han Xueping looked at Jiang Li with total sincerity.
Jiang Li entered a different Parallel Space-Time each time. Clearly, the Han Xueping she met this time was the same person she had saved with the Transparent Umbrella the first time.
Jiang Li looked at the faded, washed-out backpack on Han Xueping’s shoulder, then at the bright, brand-new umbrella. A strange feeling stirred in her heart.
Jiang Li took the umbrella. “Thanks. I like it a lot.”
Han Xueping gave a brilliant, shy smile, looking slightly embarrassed.
“I have to go now, Sister. It’s the parent-teacher meeting today, and my mom is waiting for me.”
Han Xueping reached out, her face flushing as she said “bye-bye” to Jiang Li, then turned and ran off.
Halfway there, Han Xueping suddenly looked back and said to Jiang Li, “I hope I can see you again next time!”
Throughout her interaction with Jiang Li, Han Xueping never glanced at the Elevator Attendant once. Furthermore, judging by her expression, she didn’t seem to be able to see Red Infant either.
The Elevator Attendant and Red Infant were both Aberrations.
Perhaps the pure-hearted Han Xueping could only see Jiang Li, the human interloper, and was unable to see these terrifying entities.
Han Xueping carried her backpack and turned, jogging into the distance.
By the school gate, a middle-aged woman was standing by the security office waiting for her.
Jiang Li glanced at the woman and froze slightly.
She had seen this middle-aged woman before.
The woman was the Elevator Attendant from the Guest Elevator in the Clear Spring Hotel. Jiang Li had crossed paths with her once when she was seeing off the guests from the fourth floor.
In the distance, Han Xueping called out “Mom” and happily threw herself into the woman’s arms.
The middle-aged woman met Han Xueping, stroking the back of her head with an expression full of maternal love.
However, what Jiang Li cared about wasn’t their deep mother-daughter bond.
It was the dark, bruised birthmark on the middle-aged woman’s forehead-one that was even larger and deeper than Han Xueping’s.
