“We didn’t come to the wrong place, did we?” Xu You stared at the library in front of her and, for a moment, began to doubt herself.
“The address is right. Let’s go in and take a look.”
As Wei Sen spoke, she walked into the library first. Seeing this, Xu You hurried after her.
It was a library in the middle of a bustling downtown area. Since it happened to be the weekend, there were quite a few students inside.
The two of them made a lap around the first floor, but found nothing strange.
“Look up,” Wei Sen suddenly said, stopping in her tracks.
Beside the railing on the second floor stood a man in a gray suit. It was the same person who had led them to see CC back at Utopia Tavern.
Wei Sen and Xu You quickly went up to the second floor. The Man in the Gray Suit smiled at them, then led the two toward the elevator.
Inside the elevator, the buttons only went from the first floor to the fifth. However, after the Man in the Gray Suit took a keycard from his jacket pocket and swiped it, the display showed “B2.”
“Well, damn! There’s a second basement level!” Xu You clicked her tongue. “And this is right in the city center. Sure enough, the most dangerous place is the safest place.”
Wei Sen, however, looked at the Man in the Gray Suit in confusion and asked, “Just how many places like this does The Organization have?”
The Man in the Gray Suit turned his left eye toward Wei Sen, but the prosthetic eye on his right remained fixed straight ahead. Smiling, he said, “Many.”
“Your boss is loaded!” Xu You voiced the exact thought on Wei Sen’s mind.
For The Organization to operate on such a massive scale, money was indeed indispensable.
“Of course.” The Man in the Gray Suit nodded lightly.

The elevator arrived at the second basement level. The moment the doors opened, a corridor appeared before Wei Sen and Xu You.
There were still countless rooms on both sides of the corridor. It felt as if they had accidentally wandered into some eerie Backrooms.
“This way, please,” the Man in the Gray Suit said, bringing them to a door that looked no different from all the others.
Wei Sen and Xu You pushed the door open and entered.
The room looked like a conference room. Sunlight spilled in through the blinds over the glass windows. At the head of the round table, CC sat in a red dress, with four white envelopes placed before her.
“Sit,” CC said mildly, though her gaze remained on Wei Sen the entire time.
She hadn’t expected this group to survive the Instance again.
And this newcomer had actually gained 3,500 Merit Points in one go. It was simply unbelievable.
Even for her, the most Merit Points she had ever gained at once was only 1,200…
This person really did keep overturning her understanding again and again.
CC glanced at her watch. “Let’s wait a little longer. Two more people should be here soon.”
“Can we choose our own Clearance Reward?” Xu You looked at the envelopes in front of CC.
“Yes,” CC said generously.
Xu You’s eyes narrowed into a grin. That sneaky little expression of hers made it perfectly obvious what she wanted.
Before long, two thumps sounded from outside the door.
“I got here first!” It was Lin Xiaoxue’s voice.
“Hah. I was clearly walking in front of you, okay?” Xia Susu followed right after.

“Me!”
Puzzled, Xu You got up and yanked the door open. At the entrance, Lin Xiaoxue and Xia Susu were squeezed together, fighting to be the first to arrive. Neither had expected Xu You and Wei Sen to already be there.
“Hah!” Xia Susu rolled her eyes at Lin Xiaoxue. “After all that, someone was even more eager than you!”
Lin Xiaoxue was not about to be outdone. She stepped aside and gestured grandly. “Come on, come on. After you. I don’t compete with the old, weak, sick, or disabled!”
“Who are you calling old?!” Xia Susu’s expression darkened instantly.
“No, no, no! How could you be old? You’re… weak!” Lin Xiaoxue raised her pinky at Xia Susu.
Xia Susu was so angry she clenched both fists. “I think you’re the one who’s sick!”
Inside the room, CC was utterly speechless. Last time, because Wei Sen had brought out [Heart], the members of this squad had failed to gather. This time, when they had finally almost all arrived, this was the scene she got instead.
“Are they always like this?” CC asked Wei Sen.

“Okay, everyone’s here, so let’s get down to business.” CC looked at them all.
“Are you sure everyone’s here?” Wei Sen asked in return.
Their team had clearly had more people than this from the very beginning, and Huang Xinze had cleared the stage with them this time too.
“Yes. Everyone is here.” CC gave Wei Sen a meaningful look.
