There were a lot of people in the plaza, too. Some headed toward the screens in the center, while others made for one Gate of Xuanpin after another in every direction.

Wei Sen looked at the countless portals labeled Gate of Xuanpin standing beyond the plaza at the ends of the roads. Almost everyone heading toward them was traveling in groups.
Were they going to clear an Instance?
Could this place be some kind of transfer hub where people could choose an Instance on their own?

Full of questions, Wei Sen walked toward the electronic screens in the center of the plaza. She wanted to see exactly what was displayed on them, and while she was at it, ask someone in the crowd gathered below the screens what was going on.
“Daoist?” Wei Sen had only taken a few steps when she spotted Xu You, who looked just as bewildered.
“Sister Sen.” Xu You looked at Wei Sen, a relieved smile on her face. “If I hadn’t seen you, I almost would’ve thought I’d gone to heaven.”
Wei Sen smiled faintly. Since Xu You was here too, Huang Xinze and Xia Susu should be nearby as well. After all, they had cleared the Infinite Flight Instance together.
“This place is so weird,” Xu You said.
The two of them headed toward the screens together. The plaza was huge, and there were quite a few people around, but everyone was hurrying somewhere, and no one deliberately paid attention to them.
Wei Sen replied, “They’re all people known as Order Keeper. They all have devices called Black Watch, just like ours. And look-outside the plaza, those branching paths are lined with too many Gate of Xuanpin portals to count.”
“Good lord. That many gates means there’s an Instance World behind each one?!” Xu You clicked her tongue in disbelief.
“Drrr!” With a rolled tongue sound, a figure zipped into view in front of them. “Hey, beauties! We meet again!”

“Are you sick?” Xu You rolled her eyes at him, speechless.
Huang Xinze rolled his tongue again, struck what he clearly thought was a very handsome winking pose, and said with a grin, “Just lightening the mood! We did just clear an Instance, you know!”
“I can’t believe you’re happy over fifty Merit Points!” Xia Susu snapped, walking out from behind Huang Xinze. She crossed her arms in front of her chest and looked at Wei Sen with obvious displeasure.
“What exactly did you do?! Why did the plane crash early? You caused it, didn’t you?” Xia Susu demanded.
“Yes,” Wei Sen admitted openly.
“Didn’t you say there was more than one Doom Beast?! What is wrong with you? Aren’t we teammates? What right did you have to hide clues from us? You made the plane crash, then swallowed all the Merit Points for yourself, didn’t you?!”
Xia Susu accused her as if she were standing on the moral high ground.
“Ohhh~ So we’re only teammates when it’s time to split the Merit Points!” Xu You gave an awkward laugh.
“Was it your turn to talk? Didn’t you only get 50 Merit Points too? There could’ve been dozens of Doom Beasts on that plane, and she got credit for all of them by herself! She won’t even share 500 with us. Don’t you feel like we got ripped off?” Xia Susu snapped.
“Girl.” Xu You stepped forward and leaned in close to Xia Susu’s ear. “I’m not like you. I have a brain.”
Xia Susu’s temper flared instantly. “You stinking Daoist, what do you mean by that?!”
“Don’t fight, don’t fight, don’t fight!” Huang Xinze rushed between them at top speed to play peacemaker. Out of the corner of his eye, he glanced at Wei Sen and said, “Sister Sen figured out how to clear the Instance. Whether she got 500 Merit Points or 5,000, she earned it. Sure, we only got 50, but at least nothing happened to us. That’s good enough, good enough!”
Xia Susu gritted her teeth and looked at Wei Sen in defiance. “Tch! Give me one more round, and I could’ve found the way to clear it too!”
“Mm, true.” Wei Sen answered with utmost seriousness, lifting her eyes to look straight at Xia Susu. “Then hurry up next time. First come, first served, after all.”
“Hmph!” Xia Susu was so angry her chest heaved. “I’m definitely not teaming up with you people for the next Instance!”
Despite saying that, Xia Susu remained standing right where she was, with no intention of leaving.

The group looked toward the sound, and the person standing beneath the electronic screen, jumping and waving at them, was actually Lin Xiaoxue.
“Holy crap! Back from the dead?!” Huang Xinze rubbed his eyes in disbelief.
Xia Susu was even more confused. She looked at Wei Sen and Xu You and asked, “Why isn’t she dead?!”
A faint smile unconsciously rose on Wei Sen’s lips, while Xu You finally let out a breath of relief.
The group quickly came up to Lin Xiaoxue. Only then did they clearly see the words on the electronic screen.
Displayed on the screen was a massive table. The first column listed numbers from 1 to 100, the second column listed names, and the third column showed numbers. Each person had a different number beside them, but it was obvious the numbers were arranged from highest to lowest, and the rankings were changing in real time as the numbers continued to shift.
“Wuwuwu~ I thought I’d never see you again!” Lin Xiaoxue threw herself into Xu You’s arms, rubbing her head against her chest like a spoiled child. She was so emotional that tears brimmed in her eyes.
