Chapter 55

Wei Sen immediately rushed over at the sound and arrived beside the tour group’s seats. The Fat Uncle, who had been talking so confidently just moments ago, was now thrashing wildly in his seat. If not for the seat belt restraining him, he would probably have gone berserk on the spot.

“Ah! Ah! Misfortune… descends… the door… is the real… ah!” the Fat Uncle roared, his eyes bulging, both pupils rolled white.

“Hold him down!” the Blonde Woman ordered at once.

The two women seated on either side of the Fat Uncle hurriedly pinned down his arms, while the Group A members in the row ahead unbuckled their seat belts and came over to hold down his legs.

“Dead… alive… all have to die…” The Fat Uncle’s mouth opened and closed, but no one could make out what he was actually saying.

Shards of glass lay at the Fat Uncle’s feet, and the legs of his pants were soaked with red liquid.

In the aisle, two flight attendants continued asking the passengers behind them what they wanted to drink, as if they could not see a thing.

“He drank the red wine?” Wei Sen’s gaze sharpened as she looked at the middle-aged woman beside the Fat Uncle.

The middle-aged woman said guiltily, “The flight attendant gave him red wine just now, and he drank it. By the time I noticed, it was already too late!”

Wei Sen said nothing.

All six people from Group B were here. The flight attendant had handed the Fat Uncle red wine. Perhaps the Fat Uncle had been chatting with someone else and failed to notice right away before drinking it, but with so many people present, it was impossible that not a single person had seen it.

But… someone had seen it. They simply had not warned him.

Because the consequences of every rule, as well as whether those rules were true or false, required someone to verify them!

“Ah! Die! Die! All of you have to die!!!” the Fat Uncle screamed hysterically.

It was as if he had seen some utterly terrifying scene. Blood tears streamed from his rolled-white eyes. After using every ounce of strength in his body to finish his final sentence, he spat out a mouthful of blood-along with half of his tongue.

“Ah!” The middle-aged woman abruptly let go, trembling as she pointed at the bloody tongue on the floor. “He-He bit off his tongue and killed himself!”

Everyone sucked in a cold breath as they watched the Fat Uncle convulse violently in his seat for a while before falling still.

The flight attendants were still handing out drinks, while the other ordinary passengers seemed completely unable to see anything that had happened here. They remained seated without the slightest reaction.

“I’m an air marshal! Leave this to me!” Xu You hurried forward from the rear of the plane after hearing the commotion and flashed the ID in her hand.

Everyone moved aside. Xu You glanced at Wei Sen, then stepped forward and hoisted the Fat Uncle’s corpse onto her shoulder.

Wei Sen had not expected that this Daoist, who looked as skinny as a bamboo pole, would possess such strength. With one hand, she easily lifted a man weighing around 150 to 165 pounds.

Under everyone’s gaze, Xu You carried the corpse toward the cockpit.

She did not enter the cockpit. Instead, she stopped in the galley area outside it, took a huge black trash bag from a cabinet, and stuffed him inside like garbage.

“There’s nothing for you here. You should go,” the Blonde Woman said, watching Wei Sen warily.

Wei Sen did not say more. She swept a knowing glance over everyone, then silently returned to her seat.

When she got back, her mother, who had gone to the restroom earlier, had already returned to her seat as well.

By then, Huang Xinze and Xia Susu, who were serving drinks from the back, were about to reach row 44.

Seeing Wei Sen return, Lin Xiaoxue hurriedly asked, “Sister Sen, what happened up front?”

“Someone drank the red wine handed out by a flight attendant, violated a rule, and died,” Wei Sen said simply.

“Someone violated such a simple rule?” Lin Xiaoxue sounded both puzzled and regretful.

“It’s a C-Rank Instance, after all. It still has a twenty percent mortality rate. But people can still die because they let down their guard, so we absolutely can’t get careless,” Wei Sen said.

Lin Xiaoxue nodded solemnly. “Mm. I’ll be even more careful!”

“Did you find anything in the luggage?”

Lin Xiaoxue shook her head dejectedly. “Not for now.”

“It’s fine. At least we’ve ruled out the possibility that we’re carrying other prohibited items,” Wei Sen comforted her.

“Hello. What would you like to drink?” an impatient female voice asked.

The two looked over and saw Xia Susu and Huang Xinze pushing the cart into the aisle.

Huang Xinze smiled brightly. “We have coffee, tea, juice, cola, and bottled water. Which would you like?”

“Bottled water, thank you.” Wei Sen looked at Xia Susu.

Xia Susu kept a smile on her face as she irritably took out a bottle of water and handed it to Wei Sen.
“Me too!” Lin Xiaoxue raised her hand happily.

Xia Susu kept smiling, but her eyes were full of disgust as she quickly handed the water over.

“And the lady inside? What would you like?” Huang Xinze didn’t forget to ask the mother sitting all the way in.

The mother looked at the cart, hesitated for a moment, and said, “I’d like a glass of red wine.”

“Mom…” Lin Xiaoxue was just about to say something to her when Wei Sen grabbed her hand first.

“Little sister, let’s talk about what we’re going to do when we reach our destination!” Wei Sen said to Lin Xiaoxue.

Lin Xiaoxue looked at Wei Sen’s grave expression and remembered what the rules had said: Please do not make eye contact with anyone who orders red wine!

“Okay, Sister…”

Xia Susu and Huang Xinze didn’t know about the Passenger Code, but there was one rule in their Crew Code of Conduct: If a passenger proactively asks whether there is red wine, satisfy their request at once. If there is no red wine left, find a way to turn mineral water red, then pour it for the passenger.

Fortunately, there was still half a bottle of red wine left on the cart. Xia Susu quickly took it out, poured a glass, and handed it to the mother.

“Mm, this is delicious. Sensen, Xiaoxue, do you want to try some?” the mother asked.

Neither of them looked at her.

“Mom, you drink it yourself. My little sister and I need to discuss our travel plans,” Wei Sen said.

“Fine, you two children are really…” the mother muttered, then turned back to look at the scenery outside the window and stopped talking.

“Sister Sen, what’s going on?” Huang Xinze asked in a low voice.

“Rules.”

“Oh, oh, got it.” Huang Xinze tactfully stopped asking.

Rules concerning personal identities could not be revealed to people with different identities!

“Susu told me everything. You guys actually all received Invitations and got rewards, so why didn’t I get anything?” Huang Xinze asked in a lowered voice, then anxiously added, “And Linlin? She… she couldn’t have failed to return to reality, right?!”

“Sister Linlin went back, but she didn’t participate in this Instance,” Lin Xiaoxue said.

“Huh?! You can choose whether or not to participate in an Instance?!” Huang Xinze was shocked all over again.

Xia Susu raised a brow. “Oh, I forgot to tell you that part. As long as you’re awake at four in the morning, you don’t have to enter that day’s Instance.”

“You met CC.” Wei Sen looked at Xia Susu. She guessed Xia Susu must have met CC after they did, and not at Utopia Tavern.

“Sure enough, your Guide is her too.” Xia Susu looked completely confident. “I knew it. Since we’re all newcomers from the same batch, we’d definitely be assigned to the same Guide.”

Huang Xinze looked like he wanted to cry. “Why don’t I have one? Am I not worthy?”

“We’ll see after this Instance ends. But…” Wei Sen stopped mid-sentence.

Thinking back to when the base had been destroyed and everyone had fled Utopia Tavern, she had noticed that nearly every Order Keeper was a woman. She had only seen a handful of men in the entire tavern.

“But what?” Huang Xinze pressed.

Wei Sen didn’t dare make any definitive judgments. There were still too many mysteries right now. Perhaps only if she successfully entered The Organization would she learn more.

“For now, let’s find a way to get through the Instance in front of us,” Wei Sen said solemnly.

Huang Xinze sighed. “Fine… Have you discovered anything?”

The others all shook their heads.

“Even though this Instance is only C-Rank difficulty, it’s given us so few hints. We still don’t even know what the Clearance Condition is,” Lin Xiaoxue said, pouting.

“At least this place is only the size of my palm. We’ll turn it inside out if we have to. I refuse to believe we can’t find the Clearance Condition!” Huang Xinze said, full of confidence.

Xia Susu gave a soft snort and said, “The only places we haven’t explored yet are the cockpit and the restroom. Obviously, I’m the only flight attendant here, so I’ll have to find a way to get into the cockpit and take a look. As for the restroom, whoever wants to go can go. I’m not going, anyway. Beauties don’t go to stinky places!”

“Then your poop must smell amazing,” Lin Xiaoxue said with a smile as she looked at Xia Susu.

Xia Susu’s eyes went cold. She grabbed the cart and headed toward the next passenger.

One of the rules in the Crew Code of Conduct: Passengers are God. You must not have any conflict with passengers!

Huang Xinze laughed awkwardly and said quietly, “Then I’ll get back to work. If anything happens, let us know in the group chat.”

Misfortune… descends… is…

Die… live… must die…

Die! Die! All of you have to die!

Wei Sen replayed the three things Fat Uncle had said before he died.

What exactly had he been trying to say?

Misfortune descends?

Everyone has to die?
