Wei Sen and Lin Ze arrived at the village entrance and stopped at a distance. The shrine stood silent amid the snow. Inside, Mahakala glared wrathfully out beyond the village, as though warning every person who dared set foot here.
Based on the little girls’ symptoms, the two of them had inferred that the black clay used for Gilding the Statue for Mahakala most likely contained some kind of radioactive element. After prolonged exposure, the girls had all developed a terminal illness-bone cancer.
Knowing the shrine was dangerous, neither of them went near it.
Wei Sen found it deeply ironic. Had this so-called God truly brought protection to the people of this village?
The young had made money off the appearance of the Aurora, left the mountains, and gone on to live comfortable lives.
But the elderly and some of the women had been left behind forever.
Because Aurora Village needed people to receive tourists. It needed people to continuously send the money earned from the village to those living in the city.
Was all of this truly the outcome this God wanted to see?
“Let’s go. We need to prepare properly for tonight’s big show.” Lin Ze tugged up his collar and turned to leave.
Wei Sen stared thoughtfully into the Black Buddha’s eyes. It seemed to be staring back at her.
She could even… feel an invisible force calling to her, making her unconsciously want to walk closer to the shrine…
“Careful. Don’t get tainted by the Eerie power’s Contamination!” Lin Ze looked back and warned her.
Wei Sen took a deep breath. This feeling was not quite like Mental Pollution. It was as if it really was a summons from that God…
“Let’s go!” Wei Sen frowned and left.
She did not believe that any “God” in an Eerie World Instance could possibly be benevolent.
If what she felt really was a summons, then it was a summons to death.

The two checked separately and saw that the Instance group chat had suddenly erupted into chaos.
It started with Xia Susu posting a video. The video had been secretly filmed from far away.
In it, an Eerie Entity could be seen chasing two girls from the Red Team across the snow.
The two girls were quickly caught. The Eerie Entity’s left and right hands pierced through their chests at the same time. In the next instant, their corpses dropped to the ground, while the Eerie Entity clutched two bloody, still-beating hearts in its hands!
A second later, the Eerie Entity turned around, and its face appeared in the video. It was actually “Mom” from Infinite Flight!
Mom greedily stuffed the two beating hearts into her mouth, chewing in huge mouthfuls as if savoring a rare delicacy. Blood dripped from her chin onto the snow.
