“His Highness has gone out on business,” the hidden guard at the gate said, glancing at the electric scooter. “Miss Ye, what is this…?”
Ye Piaoling said, “This is a demon beast I brought for His Highness to appraise. Since he isn’t here, I’ll wait for him in his Bedchamber.”
With that, she rode the electric scooter straight toward his Bedchamber.
The hidden guard was just about to stop her when an older, more experienced colleague beside him held him back.
“Stop her for what? That’s someone who spent the night in Chonghua Palace! Think about it. Besides her, what other woman has ever stayed overnight here?”
“But she said she’s going to His Highness’s private courtyard!”

Ye Piaoling was already somewhat familiar with the layout of Chonghua Palace. The Little Yellow Scooter drove straight to the Regent King’s private courtyard.

Ye Piaoling marveled inwardly and parked the scooter by the wall.
Ahead was the bedchamber. Di Xiulan’s huge bed was inside, and now he was not home…
