After a moment’s thought, a plan came to Su Chen.
He smiled and helped Yamashita Kenichiro to his feet.
“What are you doing? I know what happened in the previous scenario. Kim Siba did everything. It had nothing to do with you, so there is no need to blame yourself.”
Su Chen spoke gently.
Yamashita heard that Su Chen did not intend to hold him responsible.
His eyes lit up.
He hurriedly stood with a humble posture.
“Longguo has been Sakura Nation’s respected elder brother since ancient times. I feel guilty that I failed to save our benefactor last time, so I came specifically to ask for your forgiveness,” he answered quietly.
Su Chen smiled without replying.
He turned as though preparing to leave.
Yamashita had not expected to save his wretched life so easily.
As Su Chen started to go, his thoughts became active again.
Su Chen had killed Kim Siba with a few sentences.
That meant he must have discovered hidden rules.
Wouldn’t following him be safer?
And if Yamashita could trick those rules out of him, he would no longer need to fear Su Chen.
Yamashita Kenichiro hurried to catch up.
At Su Chen’s side, he bowed and scraped without pause.
“Su-kun, why don’t we travel together? Then I can take care of any hard or exhausting work for you.”

The two headed toward the Elephant Enclosure together.

Yamashita’s expression changed at once.
He waved his hands in terror.
“No, no, no. I wouldn’t dare ask.”
“Why wouldn’t you? Now that we’re companions, I won’t keep secrets. He died because I used a hidden rule, and that hidden rule is in the shop.”
Su Chen smiled as he spoke.
Yamashita stopped walking.
Seeing his interest, Su Chen pressed his advantage.
“Go if you want. I’ll wait for you at the Elephant Enclosure. Oh, and when you meet the shop assistant in black, remember to say I sent you. He’ll tell you more secrets.”
“Su-kun, thank you so much!”
Yamashita Kenichiro bowed deeply, then turned and ran toward the shop.
An evil smile appeared on his face.
Baka. Once I find the hidden rules, I’ll kill you!
For someone from Sakura Nation, whose sense of honor and humiliation outweighed right and wrong, this was only natural.
He had knelt, apologized, and shamelessly acted like a dog to stay alive.
To him, that was an unbearable humiliation.
The way to wash it away was to kill Su Chen.

Watching Yamashita run into the distance, Su Chen also smiled.
“Since you like apologizing so much, hurry up and die so you can apologize to everyone in person.”
Only after Yamashita disappeared from view did Su Chen turn and stroll toward the Elephant Enclosure.
Not long afterward, Su Chen stepped into the enclosure.
Just then, Yamashita Kenichiro came racing back, panting with his mouth wide open like an exhausted dog.

“How did it go? Did he tell you?”
“He did. He even sold me an Aquarium ticket and gave me a bottle of holy water.”
“Holy water?”
“I’m sorry, Su-kun. He said the holy water had to be drunk while it was hot and couldn’t be brought outside, so I couldn’t bring you any.”
Yamashita put on an apologetic look and casually lied.
Su Chen thought for a moment and understood.
There was also the bright red staining Yamashita’s lips and teeth.
What he had drunk was obvious.
