The next instant, however, Su Chen put on his foolish grin again.
“My name is Su Chen. It’s nice to meet you.”
As he spoke, Su Chen reached out, took the other man’s hand, and shook it.
He made himself look delighted.
Then he continued, “Could you tell me which rule is correct? I can’t understand any of them!”
Kim Siba was secretly overjoyed.
He had not expected Su Chen to be so gullible.
“In my experience, only Rule One is correct. Don’t believe any of the others.”
“Besides, in previous horror scenarios, the sooner someone acted, the safer they were. Anyone who fell behind was in greater danger.”
“So I suggest you set out at once.”
Kim Siba spoke with a smile.
“All right. Thank you, then.”
Su Chen smiled.
Then he took the lead and strode straight through the zoo’s gates.
At that moment, Longguo’s livestream exploded.
“How can Su Chen be so fucking clueless? How does he still dare trust someone from Kimchi Nation?”
“My blood pressure is through the roof. Su Chen even cured the blood clot I’ve had for years.”
“Heaven wants Longguo destroyed! How did a thing like that ever get selected as our Chosen One?”
“I’m losing it. I bet Su Chen won’t survive ten minutes. If he does, I’ll eat my phone.”

The enraged viewers then flooded into Kimchi Nation’s livestream.
“How can that little Kimchi be so vicious as to set up our contestant? Don’t you people have a conscience?”

Every Longguo viewer’s blood pressure shot through the roof.
The livestream was instantly awash with the finest profanity their nation had to offer.
Su Chen strolled through the zoo entrance.
The instant he crossed the threshold, he tried to step back.
Naturally, he failed.
An invisible wall of air blocked his retreat.
It seemed there was no leaving until he had finished touring the zoo.
Su Chen was not worried, however. He had already made a save point.
He followed the path into the Rabbit Enclosure.
As he toured the enclosure, he soon discovered that rabbits had appeared out of thin air in the shade of quite a few trees.
His earlier conversation with Kim Siba had confirmed that the man intended to follow the blue text.
Now that he had a control subject, Su Chen decided to do the exact opposite.
He would disregard every rule printed in blue.
So when he saw the rabbits in the shade beneath the trees, he treated them as if they did not exist.
He crossed the entire Rabbit Enclosure.
Meanwhile, Kim Siba began moving once Su Chen had gone some distance.
After all, in the Horror World, a contestant’s completion time and ranking affected the final rewards.
He had already settled on his interpretation of the rules, so there was no reason to delay any longer.
Kim Siba strode into the Rabbit Enclosure and looked around incessantly.
Before long, he spotted a rabbit in the shade of a tree in a secluded corner.
A smile appeared on his face.
As he stared at the rabbit, Kim Siba felt his brain becoming more and more excited.
Countless flashes of inspiration kept bursting forth.
He vaguely felt that his intelligence was about to break through to a new level.

The rabbit did not flee in fright when it saw him approach.
Kim Siba was even happier. He became more certain than ever that his analysis was correct.
He crouched down, extended his right hand, and began stroking the rabbit.
The more he petted it, the more excited his brain became.

His entire mind froze, leaving only his right hand endlessly stroking the rabbit.
The Chosen Ones from the other countries were watching Kim Siba from a short distance away in the Rabbit Enclosure.
They also believed the blue text was correct, but Kimchi Nation’s contestant was willing to test the danger first.
They did not mind observing a little longer.

Kim Siba stroked the rabbit for the tenth time.
Suddenly, the eerie laughter of a child drifted from the shade beneath the trees in the Rabbit Enclosure.

Every last one of them crouched down and began petting a rabbit.
At that moment, Lamb of Ugly Nation was running for his life.
He saw Yamashita Kenichiro of Sakura Nation blocking the way ahead.
Rage seized him, and he kicked the Chosen One in front of him straight off the path.
At the same time, he roared, “How dare a dog from a vassal state block the road of Ugly Nation! Watch out, or we’ll nuke your country flat!”
Caught completely off guard by the kick, Yamashita Kenichiro rolled onto the grass.
He nearly tumbled into the shade beneath the trees.
When he raised his head, he found the edge of the tree’s shadow pressed right against his body.
His hair stood on end in terror.
He scrambled to his feet and crawled and stumbled his way back onto the path.
