It was also where the hospital director’s office was located.
Inside the office, Director Wang Yupeng was drinking and laughing loudly with several guests.
“Hahaha! Director Wang certainly knows how to get things done. You found a suitable candidate in such a short time. Remarkably efficient!”
One of the guests was a fat man in a suit, his belly straining the buttons of his shirt. He raised his glass to Wang Yupeng.
“Come, Director. A toast!”
“Once this is done, the head of the Safe Zone… Don’t worry. There won’t be any problems!”
Director Wang gave him a fawning smile and raised his own glass.
“It was nothing, nothing at all!”
“I have the physical examination reports for every student in the Safe Zone. Finding a compatible transplant donor couldn’t be easier…”

Another man was thin and wore glasses. He pushed them up his nose and smiled faintly.
“Director Wang, you understand what is expected of you. We need people who understand.”
Wang Yupeng looked overwhelmed by the praise.
“Secretary Lin, you flatter me… It is my honor to handle this matter for you!”
“It’s only a pity that girl named Tang… Ah, Tang Qingqing!”
Wang Yupeng looked regretful. “She refused to cooperate. Otherwise, your father wouldn’t have needed to wait these past few days or undergo a risky operation…”

The men exchanged knowing smiles and resumed flattering one another.
Just then, the office floor suddenly trembled.

While he was still confused, the office phone rang.
Secretary Lin smiled. “The director is certainly a busy man. Go ahead and handle your work. There’s no rush.”
Wang Yupeng smiled obsequiously and hurriedly answered the call.
The instant it connected, he snapped angrily.
“What are you doing?!”
“Didn’t I tell you I had an extremely important work meeting today?!”

His expression froze before he could finish. Suspicion crept across his face. “What?”
“Have you lost your mind? What are you talking about?”
“What do you mean, ‘some lunatic smashed the entrance and killed several people’? Is this a joke?”
A low voice sounded from the doorway.
“He isn’t joking.”
All three men froze and turned toward Qin Lan, who had appeared at the door without their noticing.

Qin Lan casually tore the door from its hinges and tossed it onto the office floor. All three men went pale.
“You’re the hospital director, right?” Qin Lan’s gaze was as sharp as a knife as it locked onto Wang Yupeng.
On the way upstairs, Qin Lan had seen the photographs posted on the walls. Naturally, he recognized this so-called benevolent healer at a glance.
The moment Han Yifan, following behind him, saw Wang Yupeng, his eyes turned red.
“It’s him! It’s him!”
“He gave the order! I heard what he said to those doctors!”
Wang Yupeng quickly recovered and shouted with false bravado.
“Who are you?! Don’t do anything reckless!”

Qin Lan stared expressionlessly into Wang Yupeng’s face, completely ignoring Secretary Lin, whose expression had turned livid.
“Tell me where Uncle Han’s daughter is, and tell me who wants her heart.”

The agony shattered Wang Yupeng’s reason. He no longer cared about Secretary Lin and blurted out everything.
“She’s alive! She’s still alive!”
“Operating Room 13008!”
“She’s there right now! The operation is about to begin!”

Qin Lan raised his head and looked at the bespectacled man nearby.

“You talk too much.”
Qin Lan shook his head, unable to understand where the idiot’s confidence came from.
The Zone Governor’s secretary?
Even if the Zone Governor himself stood here, it would make no difference to Qin Lan.
Qin Lan picked up the phone that had slipped from Lin Qing’s pocket, forced the man’s hand onto it to unlock the screen, and called the number pinned at the top of his contacts.
“Hello? Little Lin, weren’t you–”
“This isn’t Little Lin. Your Little Lin is about to die.”
Qin Lan cut off the voice on the other end.
The person on the phone clearly froze. Then he erupted in fury, his authoritative presence audible even through his voice. “Who are you? What have you done to Little Lin?!”
Qin Lan spoke coldly. “You’re the Zone Governor, right?”
“I’m at Qianshan Hospital. You have ten minutes to get here.”
“If you don’t appear within ten minutes, I’ll kill everyone here, then go to the United Government offices and smash down your door.”
Qin Lan hung up and crushed the phone beneath his foot.
The fat man in the suit trembled nearby, not daring to breathe too loudly.
“I… I’m only a middleman…”
His teeth chattered with terror, and he could barely form the words. “This… This has… nothing to do with me…”
Then, in the fat man’s eyes, a fist the size of a sandbag rapidly expanded.
Blood sprayed.
“Uncle Han, go find your daughter. There should still be time.”
Qin Lan wiped the blood from his face, turned around, and gave Han Yifan a gentle smile.
