The moment I sent the message, I heard my roommates’ voices.

I looked up and saw the Dormitory Matron with them.

The Dormitory Matron said anxiously, “What happened? Your brother just said someone was bullying you. Are you hurt? Where are the people who bullied you?”

I answered obediently, “I’m sorry, ma’am. I made you worry. I had a talk with them just now, and they’ve already left.”

The matron fumed, “What exactly happened?!”

I explained, “One of the girls has a crush on my boyfriend and told me to break up with him.”

My roommates were dumbstruck.

The matron was livid.

“What?! You’re all in college, and there are still people like that?! Did all those years of schooling go straight into a dog’s stomach?! Absolutely shameless! This is outrageous! Who is that girl?! I’m going straight to her counselor!”

I shook my head. “I don’t know her.”

The matron got even angrier. Hands on her hips, she cursed for a good long while before finally telling me that if that girl ever came to cause trouble again, I should go straight to her for help.

After I obediently agreed, she was about to head downstairs. But when she reached the stairwell, she suddenly remembered something and turned back to call me.

“Oh, young lady, I was so angry I almost forgot. Your brother is still waiting for you downstairs. Come down with me and let him know you’re safe.”

My roommates’ gossip session was forcibly cut short.

I followed the matron downstairs.

At this hour, the dorm building was already locked, so there was almost no one downstairs. Only Song Yu was pacing anxiously by the entrance.

The moment he saw me come down, Song Yu rushed over in two strides.

“How are you? Are you hurt? Did they make things difficult for you?”

As he spoke, he grabbed my arm and started looking me over from top to bottom, left to right, front to back.

Beside us, the Dormitory Matron sighed with emotion. “Look at that, just look. Family really is the most considerate. The moment he heard his little sister was being bullied, this big brother came rushing over. And then look at that boyfriend of yours. Tsk, tsk, tsk. His own girlfriend got bullied because of him, and he doesn’t even come to check on her!”

Song Yu instantly froze.

I explained, “He is my boyfriend.”

The matron paused. “Huh?”

I explained again, “He’s shy.”

The matron: “…Oh.”

The matron scratched her head. “You two talk, you two talk. I’ll go check if the pot’s boiling.”

With that, the matron returned to her own room.

After she left, Song Yu said awkwardly, “Why did you tell the matron I was your boyfriend?”

“Because when we were upstairs, the matron asked what happened, and I said a girl told me to break up with my boyfriend.”

Song Yu: “…Sometimes, you really don’t have to be that honest.”

“Oh.”

After that, Song Yu returned to the main point. “They really didn’t make things difficult for you?”

“No.”

Hearing that, Song Yu let out a breath of relief.

“That’s good… But this really was my fault. I didn’t expect Xu Zimeng to be that kind of person. Don’t worry, I’ll handle this. If she comes to you again, just tell her you were forced by me to help before.”

I nodded.

“Okay.”

“Then go upstairs and rest. If you run into any trouble in the future, come to me anytime.”

With that, Song Yu gently ruffled my hair again, truly putting on the air of a big brother.

I nodded, then asked him, “Then when are you free to model? I need half a day this time.”

The smile on Song Yu’s face stiffened, and he started grinding his molars again.

“When. I’m. Free. I’ll. Tell. You. Is. That. Okay?”

I nodded.

“Mm. Bye.”

Song Yu said, “You really are such a little… Forget it. It really is my fault.”

After saying goodbye to Song Yu, I went back to the dorm. The moment I stepped through the door, my three roommates surrounded me.

“Mumu Xixi! Where did this boyfriend come from? Confess everything!”

I was honest. “Fake.”

The green glow in my roommates’ eyes vanished in the blink of an eye. “Huh?”

I explained what had happened at noon, and the three of them completely lost interest.

In the end, the topic returned to the girls who had come looking for trouble earlier.
