Chapter 3
Chapter 3
After a soft rustling of clothes being taken off, I finally received Song Yu’s ultimate permission.
When my hand settled over that firm swell, I heard Song Yu let out a quiet hum.
To help him relax a little, I tried chatting with him.
“That sound you just made really made it seem like I was doing you.”
For some reason, the muscles beneath my hand tensed even harder.
Then came Song Yu’s furious, teeth-gritted, “Shut up.”
I obediently shut up and began focusing on the rise and fall of the muscles under my palm.
Song Yu’s breathing gradually grew heavier.
“Enough!”
I was confused. “I only just started touching.”
Song Yu sounded like he was about to cry.
“I said, stop moving down!”
“Oh.”
I felt around left and right. Sure enough, I’d already reached his lower abdomen.
Song Yu couldn’t take it anymore and grabbed my hand, dragging it upward.
I didn’t understand. “I wasn’t moving down anymore.”
Song Yu said, “Lin Xi, don’t make me cry in front of you.”
I said, “I can’t see it anyway.”
Song Yu: “…sniff.”
I conceded. “Sorry. I won’t move down anymore.”
So I could only feel left and right to confirm where my palm was now-about an inch above his navel.
Since Song Yu wouldn’t let me touch lower, I could only explore side to side, getting a better sense of the structure and contours of his muscles.
But Song Yu still wasn’t satisfied.
“You… hurry up!”
I had no choice but to speed up the movement of my palm. When I felt a small raised point, I subconsciously pressed it twice, only for my wrist to be seized at once.
“Enough!”
I argued, “But there’s still-”
Before I could finish, Song Yu cut me off.
“Next time! We’ll talk about it next time!”
“Oh.”
When I heard the sound of him getting dressed, I took out my phone. “Then…”
“Ask your brother for it.”
“Oh.”
When I opened my eyes, Song Yu had already reached the classroom door. As he opened it, sunlight streamed into the room and shone through his bright-red earlobes until they looked almost translucent.
???
Why did it look like he was fleeing for his life?
After Song Yu left, I pulled open the classroom curtains, found a shady spot to sit down, and took out my tablet. Then I remembered what Song Yu had said earlier and sent my brother a message first: [Send me Song Yu’s WeChat.]
My brother: [What do you want his WeChat for?]
Me: [So it’s easier to contact him.]
My brother: [Why do you need to contact him?]
I didn’t reply.
One minute later.
My brother: [Hello?]
Me: [Send me Song Yu’s WeChat.]
My brother: […]
My brother: [So I’m just a tool now, huh? I don’t even get to ask questions?]
My brother: [Hey?]
My brother: [Where’d you go?]
My brother: [Pulling another disappearing act on me?]
My brother: [No, seriously, will telling your actual brother one reason give you hemorrhoids or something?]
My brother: [I swear, I can’t with you.]
My brother: [(WeChat contact card)]
Me: [Thanks.]
My brother: […]
My brother: [Don’t mind me. Go ahead and piss me off to death. You don’t have to care about me at all.]
My brother’s messages kept popping up for half an hour before he finally quieted down completely.
I practiced sketching all afternoon. When I opened my phone a little after six that evening, Song Yu had already accepted my friend request.
I asked him: [When are you free?]
After waiting a minute with no reply, I put down my phone and went to eat.
That night, after I got back to the dorm and finished showering, I checked my phone again and saw that Song Yu had replied.
Song Yu: [Friday, I guess.]
Song Yu: [I’m seriously speechless.]
Song Yu: [Aren’t you Lin Xuan’s sister? Since when did you become my ancestor?]
Me: [Time.]
Song Yu: [Five in the afternoon.]
Song Yu: [You really are my ancestor.]
I could more or less understand why he and my brother got along so well.
Song Yu was still grumbling away when several uninvited guests suddenly barged into our dorm.
“Lin Xi lives in this room!?”
The girl in the lead was the same one who had clung to Song Yu’s arm at noon. She kicked our dorm door open, with three or four girls behind her, scaring all three of my roommates.
I stood up. “Let’s talk outside.”
One of my roommates grabbed my arm, worried. “Xi Xi…”
I patted her shoulder, telling her not to worry.
Seeing that I knew what was good for me, the girl didn’t say anything else and followed me out.
We went to the laundry room. There weren’t many people there, so we wouldn’t bother anyone else.
The girl said aggressively, “I’ll cut to the chase. Break up with Song Yu, and stay away from him from now on.”
I nodded. “Okay. I’ll ask him.”
With that, I sent Song Yu a message.
Me: [The girl from noon told me to break up with you.]
Song Yu: [???]
Song Yu: [No way. Is she insane?!]
I looked up at the girl, who seemed a little confused.
Me: [Seems like it. She even brought four little lackeys.]
Me: [I’ll handle it for you. You be my sketch model.]
Song Yu sent a voice message:
“Don’t get involved. Just say we broke up. Protect yourself first!”
The girl heard it too. Her eyes widened. “How did you ask him!?”
I answered honestly, “I told him you told me to break up with him.”
The second she heard that, the girl exploded.
“Who the hell told you to ask like that!?”
As she spoke, she raised her hand like she was about to slap me.
“Have I been too nice to you or something!?”
I caught her arm with one hand and sent Song Yu a voice message back:
“Be my model, and I’ll handle it for you.”
Song Yu’s reply came quickly, his voice urgent. “Ancestor! Can you protect yourself first, please!?”
The girl got even angrier and raised her other hand. I grabbed her arm and flung her aside.
I continued bargaining with Song Yu. “Be my model, and I’ll handle it for you. One session.”
The girls beside her flew into a rage. “What are you standing around for!?”
Song Yu: “Fucking ancestor! Fine, I’ll do it! I’ll do it! Just protect your damn self first!”
Me: “Deal.”
I put my phone away and grabbed the arm of the first girl who rushed at me. Using the force of her charge, I turned in front of the third girl.
Smack!
That slap landed right on the face of the third girl charging toward me.
Five minutes later, the five girls each had a red, swollen cheek, and they were crying and cursing me at the same time.
The girl in the lead snapped furiously, “Just you wait! I’m reporting you to the counselor! I’ll get you expelled!”
I pointed at the 360-degree security camera in the corner of the laundry room ceiling. “There’s a camera.”
In the end, the girls ran off crying.
As I walked back to the dorm, I sent Song Yu a message:
Me: [Handled.]
