Chapter 1
Chapter 1
“Compensate me? Can you even afford it?”
I swept a glance over the trembling old man in front of me, thoroughly impatient.
My Porsche 718 was covered in pink diamonds, and a whole patch had been scraped off the rear-paint, diamonds, and all.
Of all nights, I had a good show to catch tonight. It would be a shame to miss it.
I checked my watch and urged the people at the auto shop, “Hurry up. I’m in a rush.”
“…Xia Li?”
From behind the hood, a man in a tank top lifted his head.
Broad shoulders, narrow waist, tanned skin, solid abs. A shame all those nice features had been wasted on a dog.
Chen Mu. An old enemy.
I’d seen him before. Back then, I had been pinning his little childhood sweetheart, Yang Yuzhi, down in the bathroom and forcing her to drink toilet water. He’d grabbed my wrist.
“Why are you bullying her?”
“Because watching her cry makes me happy.”
Chen Mu didn’t hit women, and he wasn’t used to swearing, either. He’d only looked at me coldly.
“Rotten to the core.”
Chen Mu had always thought I was rotten. A wicked woman.
And now, there was a trembling old man in front of me, a handful of old paper bills, a damaged Porsche 718, and me leaning against the car like the spoiled young lady I was.
He must have assumed, purely on instinct, that a rotten person like me was making things difficult for someone again.
“How much? I’ll pay.”
I pushed down my sunglasses, looked at his oil-stained racerback tank top, and let out a derisive laugh.
“If someone else were pleading for him, I might consider it. But not you.”
He wiped the motor oil off his hands and handed me a bank card and a business card.
“There’s three thousand yuan on the card. It should be enough to touch up the paint and replace the diamonds. If it’s not, I’ll figure something out.”
I didn’t stand on ceremony. I casually tossed them into my bag.
Seeing Chen Mu, this sucker, take the blame, the old man’s expression changed at once.
“He already said he’ll pay. If it’s not enough, ask him for more.
“You can’t come after me anymore, all right?”
The old man changed his tune faster than flipping a page. Chen Mu froze for a moment, but he said nothing and silently repaired my car.
I mocked him. “What a bleeding heart. So easy to fool.”
Chen Mu was very skilled. The only thing he couldn’t fix right away was the missing diamonds, but it wasn’t too noticeable.
I looked at Chen Mu very seriously and thanked him.
It was rare for me to be this pleasant, and Chen Mu unnaturally replied, “You’re welcome.”
I floored the accelerator and gave Chen Mu a nasty smile.
“Thank you for fixing my car.
“After all, I’m in a hurry to go bully your little childhood sweetheart.
“I almost didn’t make it in time.”
In the rearview mirror, Chen Mu looked utterly stunned.

Chen Mu hated me.
Because I bullied and framed his precious childhood sweetheart.
Again and again, he saw through my schemes with cold eyes and watched me reap what I had sown.
