“I concede. Tonight, Zhou Shuangjiang is yours.”
Jing Shaochuan loosened his tie and leaned back, lounging lazily against the sofa.
Sitting across from him was Jing Sicheng, half of his face hidden in the shadows.
His voice was deep. “Are you sure you can part with her?”
Jing Shaochuan gave a reckless, nonchalant laugh. “It’s rare to see you spare a woman a second glance, Big Brother.”
“Since you like her, I’m more than willing to give her up.”
Jing Sicheng didn’t respond, so Jing Shaochuan spoke up again.
“However…”
“She’s been with me for a year. If you find her distasteful…”
Jing Sicheng suddenly stood up and casually grabbed his coat. “No need. She’ll do.”
Jing Shaochuan seemed to choke on his words for a moment.
But he quickly resumed his frivolous smile. “Alright then. I hope you enjoy yourself tonight, Big Brother.”
Jing Sicheng adjusted his glasses, gave a slight nod, and strode out of the private booth.
As soon as he left, the room immediately became lively.
“Shaochuan, are you serious?”
“You spent three whole months chasing her back then, playing the humble devotee. It hasn’t even been a year-are you bored already?”
Jing Shaochuan picked up his glass. “A bet’s a bet.”
“Besides, she’s just a woman.”
“I thought Zhou Shuangjiang was different to you.”
Jing Shaochuan took a sip of his drink, his smile casual and detached.
“She was different at first. Quite aloof, hard to get.”
“But now? She’s no different from any other woman.”
“She’s as obedient as a dog in front of me.”
“In that case, Shaochuan, why not let me have a turn next time?”
Jing Shaochuan’s face suddenly went cold as he slammed his glass down.
The man who spoke recoiled, shutting his mouth in embarrassment.
Someone else asked, “But Shaochuan, what if Big Brother actually touches her? What’s your plan then?”
“He won’t.”
“My brother isn’t interested in women. He’s a germaphobe to a ridiculous degree.”
“That’s hard to say. Last time Zhou Shuangjiang wore a dress that showed off her legs, he definitely looked her over a few times.”
Jing Shaochuan sneered. “He just hates women who flaunt themselves like that.”
“Let’s make a bet. Shaochuan, do you want in?”
Jing Shaochuan scoffed. “Don’t forget.”
“Zhou Shuangjiang is head over heels in love with me.”
“She’d probably rather kill herself than let another man touch her.”
“If you really want to bet, be careful not to lose your entire fortune.”
Jing Shaochuan stood up to leave.
A young, beautiful girl was already waiting outside the door.
Upon seeing him, she greeted him with a flirtatious giggle.
Feeling the alcohol rushing to his head, he pinned her against the wall and kissed her fiercely.
