Chapter 11
Chapter 11
This kind of physical intimacy was effective.
Zhuang Jinyu hadn’t lost control for a long time.
Of course, I couldn’t rule out the fact that it was because he was spending more and more time clinging to me.
It’s hard to go from luxury to frugality, but going from frugality to luxury also made a coward like me uneasy.
I steeled myself to remind him, hoping he wouldn’t give me too much sweetness all at once.
“The hug has been long enough…”
As it turned out, the Young Master directly twisted my meaning. “What, hugging you isn’t enough to satisfy you now? You want something shorter in duration but more… deep?”
His gaze swept over my mouth, seemingly recalling some scene, and his Adam’s apple bobbed unnaturally.
Before he could actually lean down to kiss me, I quickly turned my head to change the subject.
“No, no, I’m satisfied with just a hug.”
I wasn’t that greedy.

Zhuang Jinyu was easy to coax, and we had found a way to control his doll instincts.
I thought we could spend the coming days in peace.
But a hitch appeared in a place I never expected.
Even though I was a gloomy shut-in, I still had a job.
As a dollmaker, I could work from home, but when orders came in, I had to get to work on time.
I thought Zhuang Jinyu was aware of this; after all, I had told him that room was my workshop.
As it turned out, the Young Master hadn’t taken it to heart at all. He had never wondered why I didn’t have to go out to work, assuming I just sat at home while money fell from the sky.
Until he saw me open the workshop door with his own eyes, take out my toolbox, and open my drafts-
The Young Master exploded.
“Didn’t you say you only did this kind of thing for me? Didn’t you say I was the only one? Then what are you doing right now?”
I tried to explain to the Young Master that everything else was just work, and only he was my personal passion.
But the Young Master wouldn’t listen; he only believed what his eyes saw.
“You don’t just make dolls of me, you make them of others too. You probably have seventeen or eighteen other good-looking people in your heart!”
The more he spoke, the more ridiculous he became, yet he somehow managed to convince himself.
Consequently, his eyes turned red.
Actually, when Zhuang Jinyu previously said he was being difficult, it was because he had temporary amnesia.
The former Young Master Zhuang, though like a proud and beautiful peacock, had a more restrained personality and didn’t show his emotions so openly.
He had that sort of “you commoners aren’t worthy of a single glance from me” arrogance.
The reason his emotions fluctuated so wildly now was ultimately due to the living soul separation.
Without the barrier of a physical body, a living soul becomes sensitive. Small matters that wouldn’t have mattered before would stimulate him, making him obsessive, extreme, and prone to anger.
Although Zhuang Jinyu had been emotionally expressive these past few days, he had been mostly normal, so I hadn’t paid much attention.
Until this moment.
Because he was no longer the “only one.”
He picked up the carving knife from my workbench and pressed it against his own face.
“You’ve been lying to me all along. The only thing you like is this face! You liar, I hate you! Since you like this face so much, I’ll destroy it right in front of you!”
Damage to a soul is far more serious than an injury to a physical body.
Terrified, I lunged forward to grab the carving knife from his hand.
“Zhuang Jinyu, calm down! I don’t have anyone else in my heart. That’s just a job… If you don’t like it, I won’t carve it anymore, okay?”
Even though the Young Master was acting crazy, his IQ was still online:
“You’ll stop this one, but then you’ll just take the next order when I’m not looking, right?”
I didn’t want to lie to him.
And I couldn’t possibly give up my job.
But if he insisted on making me choose one or the other…
“Don’t hurt yourself,” I said, grabbing his hand and turning the blade toward myself. “Stab me in the neck instead. If I’m dead, I won’t need to eat, and I won’t have to do the work you hate.”
My wrists were strong. Zhuang Jinyu, using a doll’s body, couldn’t overpower me. I actually pulled his hand toward me, and the blade nicked a small opening in my neck.
The Young Master’s fury froze instantly.
He threw the carving knife aside and frantically used his sleeve to wipe away the droplets of blood seeping from my neck. He only relaxed once he realized the wound wasn’t deep.
“Are you crazy?!” the person who was actually acting crazy roared at me.
I gave a soothing pat to the hand he had pressed against my neck.
“I just didn’t want to see you hurt yourself. Don’t do that again, or I really will kill myself out of guilt.”
Zhuang Jinyu was cowed and didn’t dare act out anymore.
He wiped my neck, his tears falling in large drops.
“When all is said and done, you just care about my face. What you like is the outer shell, not me as a person.”
I didn’t know why Zhuang Jinyu cared so much about this point.
Perhaps it was because he had been surrounded by too many people with impure motives in the past, so as an amnesiac living soul, he was exceptionally fixated on “pure affection.”
“Who says I only care about your face?” I sighed. “You already called me a pervert. Of course I lust for more than that. I want all of you.”
The Young Master’s beautiful eyes brimmed with tears. “I don’t believe you. Prove it to me.”
Our eyes met, and I retreated step by step in defeat.
Resigned to my fate, I grabbed a piece of fabric from a nearby shelf and tied it over my eyes.
“Take me to the bedroom…”
“I’ll prove it to you personally.”
