Chapter 5
Chapter 5
“Your progress in learning to be a bad influence has fallen way too far behind,” the System reminded me.
I was beyond annoyed.
“What am I supposed to do? I already told Pei Yu not to study, but he still got first place.”
“He’s a study god to begin with, but you should at least make him drop one rank,” the System said earnestly.
“Dropping one rank counts as his grades going down?”
“Yes.”
“Got it.”
That weekend.
I dragged both Jiang Yunbai and Pei Yu to the library.
Jiang Yunbai was so mad he laughed. “Sis, I still have to work.”
I said confidently, “How much do you make an hour?”
“Fifty.”
“Easy. Pei Yu, pay up.”
Pei Yu resigned himself and transferred the money. “Twelve hundred. Buying your whole day.”
Jiang Yunbai stared at the transfer, covered his mouth in shock, then looked at Pei Yu in an extremely coquettish tone. “Big bro, I don’t sell my body.”
I shoved him aside and immediately linked arms with Pei Yu. “That’s a different price. And if you want to sell your body, get in line. What, am I dead?”
Jiang Yunbai laughed. “No, seriously, why did you two bring me here? To be your third wheel?”
I truly didn’t understand it.
A warm, sunny, cheerful puppy type like Jiang Yunbai, dragged down by his family, would end up struggling just to stay fed and clothed.
To put it bluntly,
if he became a male model, he could make it to the top of the industry.
But he didn’t.
He had his own principles.
I didn’t want him to be trapped by his family. At the very least, he had to get into college.
I tossed Pei Yu’s Five-Year Gaokao, Three-Year Simulation to Jiang Yunbai.
Then I ordered Pei Yu, “You’re only allowed to read romance novels.”
“Why?”
I picked up an Olympiad math problem and started working on it. “Because you need to learn how to date me.”
After all, my goal was to make you go bad.
“Is that something I need to learn?”
I raised an eyebrow and leaned closer to him. “Do you know how to hug someone?”
I looked at his beautiful thin lips. “Do you know how to kiss?”
Pei Yu’s throat bobbed. “I…”
The corner of Jiang Yunbai’s mouth twitched. “What’s so hard about that? Bro, later I’ll send you a few websites-”
I punched Jiang Yunbai. “Don’t corrupt him.”
Pei Yu chuckled.
“Fine.”
That night, I created a group chat.
The group name was “Jiang Yunbai Is Not Small (3).”
I sent a few Korean drama kissing clips into the group.
Jiang Yunbai: “Not suitable for minors.”
Pei Yu: “Okay.”
Me: “Kiss kiss, baby, you’re so good.”
Pei Yu: “Boring.”
After the final exam results came out,
the System was shocked. “That actually worked?”
“Just tell me, did he drop or not?”
On First High School’s final exam ranking list, my name was in first place.
Under Li Xia was Pei Yu’s name.
Pei Yu had successfully dropped from first in the grade to second.
When Pei Yu saw the ranking, he raised an eyebrow.
“Didn’t expect that, did you? From now on, you can only be the eternal number two.”
He laughed. “You were always better than me.”
Please. Before I got into that car accident, I had also fought my way out of our province as the top scorer on the gaokao.
I started searching down the list for Jiang Yunbai’s name.
Down, down, and farther down.
There were still dark circles under Jiang Yunbai’s eyes.
“What are you looking for?”
“You, obviously.”
He stretched out a long finger. “Look farther back. Why are you searching around the top five hundred?”
“Haha.” I let out two dry laughs. “I’ve never had a friend with grades as bad as yours.”
Jiang Yunbai’s grades really were terrible, and his handwriting was ugly too. After a month of tutoring from Pei Yu and me, he had only crawled up from beyond the one-thousandth place to somewhere in the seven hundreds.
“Logically speaking, a school tyrant like you should make a comeback,” I muttered.
Pei Yu shook his head. “His grades have always been bad. Moving up more than three hundred places already counts as a comeback.”
Also, Jiang Yunbai never took Pei Yu’s money.
He had only quit a few low-paying part-time jobs and kept the one where he played games for other people professionally.
The extra time went into cramming the basics.
Hearing what I said, Jiang Yunbai found it funny. “Don’t tell me you thought I could be like you two and rank in the top ten of the grade.
“Come on. I’m mediocre. If I work really hard, I should be able to get into a vocational college near your university.”
So I remade Jiang Yunbai’s study plan.
“At the very least, you have to get into a second-tier undergraduate college in Jing City.”
At the very least.
Don’t be too far from Pei Yu.

The School Heartthrob Goes Bad
The System told me to teach Pei Yu, the disabled campus heartthrob, how to go bad. I agreed.
At the internet café, I snatched his Five-Year Gaokao, Three-Year Simulation out of his...
