Chapter 1
After the full wedding package—marriage license, ceremony, the works—I was bundled into the domineering CEO’s bedroom.
“Behave yourself. Don’t even think about running away!”
The housekeeper flung the words at me and slammed the door.
Leaving me alone to wonder what the hell had just happened.
I’d landed inside a novel, in the body of a villainous supporting character whose family had offered her up to a powerful CEO in exchange for a massive bride price.
For all his wealth, the CEO had an eye condition. He was blind.
His ending in the book was even more miserable. He indulged his wife in everything, but she was so desperately in love with the male lead that she conspired with him to steal her husband’s business and left him partially paralyzed.
I wanted no part of this rich-family infighting.
I was making my escape, one leg already over the windowsill, when the door opened.
A tall, slender man walked in, with a face so handsome that one more look might have made me faint.
He “looked” around, then addressed a patch of wall.
“Hello. Are you Miss Lin?”
Huh?
I immediately sprinted over, cupped his face, and planted a loud, smacking kiss on him.
“Oh, honey. Forget Miss Lin. Call me your wife.”
I was beginning to suspect the original owner of this body was the blind one.
How could she pass up a face like this to go fawn all over the male lead?
Color flooded Shen Jibai’s face. He tried to push me away, but the moment his hands touched my waist, he snatched them back in a panic.
He leaned away so hard he was practically plastered to the door.
Well, well. An innocent one.
I was absolutely delighted.
Only when it began to get dark did I reluctantly let him go.
“Come on. I’ll help you to the bathroom and give you a bath while we’re at it!”
Shit.
That last bit wasn’t supposed to come out of my mouth.
He gave a frightened shudder. Even his voice trembled. “N-no, thank you. I can manage on my own…”
He escaped so quickly that I seriously wondered whether there was anything wrong with his eyes at all.
Before long, I heard running water.
I crept up to the bathroom door and discovered—
What the hell?
It wouldn’t open!
The man was remarkably vigilant about sexual predators. He’d remembered to lock the door just to shower in his own house?
“Honey, if you need a hand, all you have to do is ask.”
The moment the water stopped, I called out in my sweetest voice.
Something hit the floor with a crash.
My heart clenched. “Honey, are you okay? Open the door and let me check.”
“I-I’m fine. I dropped a cup. Yes, that’s all. A cup…”
It took him a while to answer. Something felt wrong, and I rushed forward.
Just then the door opened, and I barreled straight into a warm, damp embrace.
Shen Jibai instinctively caught me. His lower back struck the cabinet, drawing a muffled groan of pain.
“Miss Lin, are you… all right?”
He must have hit it hard. His voice was terribly hoarse.
I looked up. His eyes glistened, and his lips were wet and red, their color utterly inviting.
I swallowed, utterly without dignity, my mind racing. If I had my way with him right here, would I scare him?
But I clearly didn’t have much self-control to begin with. A second later, it shattered. I caught his collar, rose on tiptoe, and bit down on his lips.
“Mm…”
He made a low sound, panic flickering in his eyes.
Everything on the vanity went clattering to the floor.
We’d made a bit too much noise. The servants began banging on the door, their racket thoroughly ruining the mood.
I stormed over. “What exactly is your prob—”
Before I could finish, the housekeeper thrust a phone at me.
“Jibai, are you listening? Listen to your mother. However unwilling that Lin girl is, you must make her give the Shen family an heir!”
“Otherwise, everything will go to that bastard!”
There were only two sons in the Shen family. The male lead was the illegitimate one.
Not long after Shen Jibai lost his sight, they’d brought the male lead home with great fanfare.
If his eyes never recovered, the family might indeed choose a different heir.
The call ended.
Shen Jibai immediately reassured me. “Don’t worry, Miss Lin. I know I’m useless now. I will never touch you or hold you back!”
Huh?
Never touch me?
Over my dead body!

The Blind CEO’s Darling Wife
After marrying a blind CEO, I took full advantage of the fact that he couldn’t see me and kissed him again and again.
Blushing, he kept saying, “Miss Lin, please don’t.”
