That night, Zhou Xi came to my villa.

To my surprise, his medical report showed that he was clean and healthy. He did not even have a single nodule.

Unlike last time, when he had been covered in huge fake logos, this time he was dressed very simply.

A white T-shirt, jeans, and sneakers.

His hair, previously stiff with styling mousse, hung down and slightly covered his eyes.

Secretary Wang must have instructed him to dress like Shi Jin.

I frowned. Before I could speak, the person in front of me had already pulled off his T-shirt.

Eight-pack abs, neat and proper.

No idea whether they were real.

He chuckled twice. “Sis doesn’t like me dressed like this?”

“I don’t like it either.”

As he spoke, he walked over as if we were already close and touched my hand.

Then he took the hair tie from my wrist.

He gathered his half-long hair behind his head and tied it into a little knot.

I let out a breath.

Then I heard him say,

“Sis, are you hungry? I can make you noodles.”

The breath I had just released nearly caught in my throat.

He saw the housekeeper come out of the kitchen, carrying a garbage bag as she left, and said with some regret, “Looks like you’ve already eaten.”

I caught the implication and hesitated before asking,

“Did you not eat? Do you want something…”

Before I finished, he said, “Thank you.”

He even found an excuse for himself. “I need to eat my fill so I can serve sis properly later.”

Then he cooked himself three bowls of noodles and ate them clean like a starving ghost.

I recalled the file. He should not have been so poor that he could not afford food.

I said, “There are still steaks in the fridge.”

Zhou Xi shook his head. “No need for steak. I have to work first before I can take my pay.”

I understood.

For a moment, I was actually a little gratified, once again affirming my decision.

This was exactly the kind of person I should have found, someone wholeheartedly determined to eat from this bowl of rice.

Half an hour later.

I regretted it.

The clean scent of shower gel surrounded me.

That slight unfamiliarity was quickly replaced by heat, leaving me with no room to think about anything else.

Zhou Xi did not forget to provide emotional value either.

“Sis, you’re so beautiful. I really made a profit.”

“Sis, this feels too good.”

I felt as if I had become low-class.

And that low-class feeling lasted until the next morning.

In despair, I asked, “Did you take something?”

“What?”

He had not taken anything.

He was just lying to show off his service attitude.

Finally, at two in the afternoon, I crawled up while holding my waist.
