Chapter 5
The first Soul Seizing incident happened at a hospital.
When Yun Ruyi brought me there, it was the middle of the night. We slipped silently into the ward.
A frail woman lay on the hospital bed, her eyes tightly shut, her breathing weak.
The moment I saw her, I knew she had lost half a soul. If it wasn’t found within ten days, she would be beyond saving.
“That Soul Seizer still left her half a soul,” Yun Ruyi said. “Let’s go. On to the next one.”
For the entire night, she took me all around Hai City.
The other victims were in more or less the same condition.
