Perhaps it was the curse of being a water monkey: Eldest Brother’s fighting power was halved underwater. He probably wouldn’t get here anytime soon.
I looked worriedly at the blood seeping from Master’s skin.
The waterweed was far too tight.
“Perhaps you could try seducing them?” Master ventured.
I looked at the bizarrely shaped shrimp soldier beside us and fell silent.
A person had to have some… There were things a person just couldn’t…
But Master gazed at me imploringly.
I gritted my teeth, steeled myself, and began turning on the charm, dead inside. “Hey, handsome. (Whistle.) All alone? Feeling scared? (Bat eyelashes.) Come talk to a girl. (Lick corner of mouth.) (Bend right leg and tuck it behind left.) Just~ saw you~ over there, and I thought~ you looked~ pretty cute. Wanna chat?”
The shrimp soldier’s face, a mess to begin with, scrunched into something even harder to describe. He actually took a step back and looked away. “I’d rather not. You’re not my type.”

Master snorted.
That broke me. It really did.
“Oh, fine. Don’t talk to me. I didn’t really want to talk to you anyway. Hilarious. You’re nothing special, actually. I wouldn’t give you a second look. Ha ha ha ha. So funny. God, you’re full of yourself.”
The shrimp soldier glanced at me and quietly tightened the waterweed.
I swear.
When my brothers got here, I was having every last one of you killed!
Just then, a woman appeared beside the flooded prison. Her face was as lovely as a hibiscus, her figure graceful and alluring, her eyes full of tenderness. One light glance in our direction was enough to leave half my body weak.
Even though she wasn’t looking at me.
She waved the shrimp soldier away, walked gracefully to Master’s side, and called softly, “Holy Monk.”
Master hurriedly averted his face. Apparently blind, he actually said, “Your Demonic Majesty, please show mercy and let me go.”

I hurriedly sent Master a silent message while signaling with my eyes. Master, ask her to rescue us!

Master stared at me in shock. His lips opened and closed, but not a word came out for a good long while.
