Alchemical sects like the Danqing Sect had long since ceased to be popular. Spending every day facing a furnace under harsh cultivation conditions made it difficult to produce any significant results.
Even when one did manage to achieve something, fellow cultivators would come begging for medicine every few days, and demonic cultivators would try to steal it just as often.
As soon as I stepped onto the small mountain peak of the Danqing Sect, I was immediately discovered and brought before Immortal Venerable Yingwei.
Immortal Venerable Yingwei lived up to his name, possessing a transcendent aura. While he couldn’t quite compare to my Master, he was still more than enough to make me salivate.
“Are you here to beg for medicine? Or to steal it?”
I struggled slightly, my eyes brimming with tears. “I am here to beg for medicine. Immortal Venerable, I have a private ailment. Could we speak in private?”
Yingwei glanced around and simply waved the others away.
I stood up and took a few steps forward. “Immortal Venerable, I was forced to ingest a great deal of poison yesterday. For some reason, I have been feeling quite unwell ever since.”
I brushed back my sleeve and extended my arm before him; my skin was flushed a deep red.
Yingwei approached and sent a pulse of spiritual technique into my body. He seemed to find the situation rather tricky.
Of course it was. Huanhuan Powder was formulated by my Master; I doubted an ordinary person could detect it.
But today, I was determined to give him a clear hint.
Pretending to be overwhelmed by the sensation of his technique, I let out a soft cry and shamelessly collapsed against him.
“Immortal Venerable, your immortal power is so hot… my bones feel like they’ve turned to jelly.”
Hearing this, Yingwei withdrew his hand. “My apologies. I am used to tending the furnace.”
As expected, it was hard to flirt with someone from the Danqing Sect.
I continued to hold him, showing no sign of letting go. “Immortal Venerable, I feel a bit better just by holding you.”
If our “exchange” went a bit deeper, I would be completely cured.
Yingwei was dazed for a moment before he finally spoke. “Immortal Maiden, it seems you have been afflicted by a lewd and wicked poison.”
I let out a long sigh of relief inwardly. Finally, we were getting to the point.
“Then what should I do?”
I did my best to look anxious and frightened.
Quick, take advantage of my vulnerability and make your shameless demand. I will reluctantly agree to it.
Not failing my expectations, Immortal Venerable Yingwei picked me up. “This poison is difficult to neutralize with pills, but I have another method of relief in my room.”
If you want to engage in Dual Cultivation, just say so. There was no need to be so vague and sanctimonious.
Still, I quite liked the “refined rogue” type. We could keep this tone going for a while.
Immortal Venerable Yingwei’s room was utterly bare, containing nothing but a large bed.
Understanding the situation, I teased him intentionally. “Immortal Venerable’s method of relief… it wouldn’t happen to be on the bed, would it?”
Yingwei cried out in surprise, “You can actually recognize it? This was constructed from Ten-Thousand-Year Ice of the Western Sea!”
I was equally shocked. “You aren’t planning to just throw me onto the bed, are you?”
Yingwei gently placed me on the bed and was about to leave.
The sash of his jade-colored robe was right before my eyes. I reached out and gave it a gentle tug.
The sash was intricate, and as it pulled, his robes began to loosen from the outside in.
Caught completely off guard and trying to preserve his final shred of dignity, Yingwei fell on top of me.
“Immortal Venerable, I think the antidote is right here on you.”
I reached out to touch his chest, but he caught my hand.
Yingwei looked up, the tips of his ears incredibly red. “I know the Immortal Maiden is suffering from the effects of the drug…”
I’m not, I didn’t. Are you blind, or just dense?
“Immortal Venerable, do you still not understand? I want to engage in Dual Cultivation with you.”
